We talked about the demise of Portland progressive station 620 KPOJ and it's morning host Carl Wolfson, back in November.
Wolfson has reported his goal of raising $40,000 via Kickstarter has been exceeded currently, to the tune of $53k. Carl will also donate 20% of every dollar raised beyond the funding goal of $40k to the memorial funds of the families affected by the recent tragedies in Clackamas, Oregon and Newtown, Connecticut..
Carl's site explains the details: "Carl in the Morning" will return on President Obama's Inauguration Day, January 21, 2013. The 90-minute live show will broadcast weekday mornings from 7AM-8:30AM PST via streaming radio on any internet enabled device and available on Podcast. Enjoy the same guests, callers and features you've started your day with for the past six years."
Carl's Internet/Podcast show starts Inaguration Day, Jan 21st.
More prog talkers bite the dust. WGUN Atlanta now simulcasting an Urban station on FM. KYNS San Luis Obispo CA dumps it for news/talk featuring TRN's America's Radio News Network and Overnight America with Jon Grayson (source Tom Taylor newsletter).
