We've heard her voice over the last few years on AM 1090, but with the kerfuffle about progressive talk leaving Jan 2 and the change in call signs to KFNQ, we just haven't heard about the traffic backups in the morning at "Jovita" or the snarky eco minute updates. Jon Nelson is filling in lately.
About the only thing Lee Callahan related are the ads for Zip Lines on Camano Island.
We called AM 1090 and got in rapid succession , "Lee still works here, Lee still works here,....." We're guessing she is doing more behind the scenes such as the Danny Bonaduce show updates on the KZOK website.
That zipline place musta bought a buttload of ad time because they have spots 24/7, and sometimes 2-3 times per break. The other sponsors have disappeared, not that CBS cares. Plenty of beer and Cialis ads out there.

Do you think "Lee Callahan" is her real name?
Apparently no one misses her.

Are things at BlatherWatch so slow that you have to do an article on ME? I am thrilled. I am off the big AM 1090 now, and full time on JACK FM. Working exclusively on one station for the first time in a long time... doing on-air announcements and my one hour star-studded interview show on Sunday. And, if you don't mind a face-full of braces, I am happy to host your event. Was that as snarky as my AM 1090 Eco-Minutes?

Miss you, Lee. Glad you're employed.

I always thought she was an automaton as the time was always off on the news and traffic updates

Can you attach pillow speakers to smart phones? And set them to snooze?
I wake up to 1090 and go to sleep to Malloy or Hartmann (repeated at midnight). I guess I'm not the only one.

Another prog talker gone, as Detroit's WDTW will fall silent on Dec 31. Clear Channel has donated the station to the Minority Media and Telecommunications Council.

"It's unclear how long the station will be silent pending the donation to MMTC which will attempt to find a minority owner that would likely launch its own programming."
You want programming for minority communities, you got it.

I have admired her distinctive voice from the first time I heard it on KPTK. I'm both sad and hurt that KPTK is going away. It, MSNBC, and the NY Times have kept me(almost) sane during the past decade. Hopefully another station, or at least some free podcasts, will come along. Good luck Lee, and thanks.
