Former Entercom employee Steve Forsyth (pictured) was one of the two people killed in a Portland, Oregon, mall by 22-year-old Jacob Tyler Roberts who also killed himself. Mr. Forsyth recently opened a kiosk in the mall which was near the Macy's where the shootings took place. He also owned a marketing agency in Portland. Mr. Forsyth was shopping with his wife and two kids when he was killed. Entercom CEO David Field said, “We are heartbroken. This senseless, tragic murder struck down a truly wonderful human being in the prime of his life. Steve was a highly talented man with a zest for life and a terrific sense of humor. He loved his family dearly. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and all of those who loved him.”
Bad enough to die that way but an unimaginable horror that it happened in front of his kids. My heart goes out to his family and the family of the woman who was killed as well.

Sad, very sad.
What has happened to all of the regulars on this blog. Not the same without the joanees, duff men's, pugetsounders, etc pretty boring now. Guess I'll move along.

And now all of the gun toting Tea Baggers will crawl out from under their rocks and out of their bunkers and claim that guns don't kill people - "Oh, lunatics will find a way without guns" - like nutters murder 30 people all the time with a hammer...
And now the school murder in Connecticut... Only in America!

A sad occurrence indeed - this is a sick culture. Thank you Hollywood !
Try gun-totting union thugs. More misinformation - Arty. Keep painting those false narratives without proof and suck in those low information voters. The Tea Party is really peace loving and the Occupiers are war-mongerers.
The politics of the psychopathic shooter in CT should not enter into it, but some insipid individual will try it - sure bet that that individual is or will be a leftist.

Yes keep parroting that same old shit KS. "Hollywood is to blame" "Tea Party members are peaceful" even when they show up with guns and signs that read, "the tree of liberty occasionally must be watered with the blood of tyrants"... Why not throw an NRA rally right about now and see how popular you are.

I don't even blame guns this time. We have no safety net; we have one Fox non-News-made-up crisis after another; if I hear "uncertainty" one more time I'm going to vomit.
The only uncertainty is when the next tired, overwhelmed, poverty-stricken, American rat on a treadmill loses it and shoots another classroom or neighborhood up.
This is what happens when a society falls apart. Unemployment breeds crime. But we'll call it soemthing else; something with a medical condition attached to the name. That way all the little people can be blamed for being sick instead of the uber wealthy for creating the illness.

Coils You throw out a false narrative as a typical regressive reactionary response ! Evidence please. Not only that, also supply documentation of how many shootings and rapes did the Tea Party commit and the same statistics for the Occupier movement.
Hollywood movies and the culture in general should shoulder part of the blame for their hypocrisy about gun control, then Hollywood shows movies that inspire shootings as it did in Colorado, like the last Batman movie (true story). It wouldn't be so bad if didn't preach gun control after making movies with gratuitous violence, evil and shoot-em up scenes. They don't know what leading by example is- they don't care about it.
Tree of Liberty be watered by the blood of tyrants - figurative speech and only pertained to tyrants - no names mentioned in the heat of battle. The angry left wanted to execute Bush and Cheney (by name) for one or they wished Cheney would die when he had his pacemaker and Limbaugh get cancer - just a few examples from your ilk. A ridiculous argument - it just demonstrates that the easiest way to get a Pavlovian response from clientel out of the woodwork is to use catch phrases "Tea Party wants peace", Sarah Palin was right, the Koch Brothers did the right thing" or Fox News is the best news network" to push your buttons to elicit responders to foam at mouth...
Too damn funny !!

If you're carrying water for the Koch Bros and Palin, nuff' said.

For crying out loud, KS. Get some help. The pictures of tea party people with guns and signs were all over the media.
And we'd be better off if Bush and Cheney had paid for their crimes.

I see KS is already taken advantage of the recent marijuana legislation. Try to keep off the munchies though.
As to the recent shootings, I believe there is a 7 day waiting period for discussing gun violence, so let's have time to grieve and instead build some shrines.Flowers and pictures are good and burn lots of candles. Midnight vigils are excellent, wrap up warm and "pack some heat" [sic] just in case. You don't want to be back there at the same time the following evening like what happened in Renton several months ago.
Maybe Hallmark should have a new card selection:
Sorry your kid/ teacher/ co-worker/ spouse was shot by one of our "until recently" well regulated militia but remember guns don't kill people etc etc .....
Or maybe Fisher Price could come up with some teeny-tot handguns and body armor, or our teachers could keep Gatling guns under the desk and take out the perps. Not only could our kindergarten teachers be in charge of wiping the kids noses and bums but also stand up Dirty Harry style and bang-bang. Teachers have way too much free time after all.
