so true

Observer

NEVER under-estimate the power of women and minorities in this country, or suffer the consequences. Right, Mittens???

Coiler

Trump used to be weirdly amusing. He's just really weird now. I'm saying dementia.

Finis Hominis

Nuge, the guy who said,
“If Barack Obama becomes the president in November, again, I will either be dead or in jail by this time next year.”
Has lost his mind on his twitter feed.

The Joe Walsh, ex-congressmen Ill. R, face book page is blowing up. Check out this comment;

Dear Tea Party. Will you PLEASE go form your own party of extremists. You are ruining my Republican Party!

Or this little nugget,

“Congrats on your azz whippin.....Good bye crazy Joe!!!!!

Boy o boy the internets is full of fun today.

Donald J. Trump ‏@realDonaldTrump

Congrats to @KarlRove on blowing $400 million this cycle. Every race @CrossroadsGPS ran ads in, the Republicans lost. What a waste of money.

T-S

Oh man, Walt! That just makes my day! The best part of all this was watching all that money disappear down the proverbial drain. Those misers must be tearing their few remaining hairs out today. In Trump's case, make that plugs.

It's been a good day. One of my parents brought me a cupcake with Obama on top! We're all celebrating!

Kimmy

“Orbusmax turned is logo upside down”

Is that some sort of wingnut distress signal or did they hire Dick Morris as a web consultant, lord knows he can’t read polls.

Todd

Just seen Nate Silver on the Boob tube, he called every state in the union. Even the hobbit over at unscrewed polls is crying in his potato sack.

TS

And Rachel just gave the best litany of fiction the Republicans have been fostering for four years. But, she told them to get out of their "fact bubble" - she should have told them to get out of their fantasy bubble. They wouldn't know a fact if they lived in one.

I didn't vote for Obama but it's a great day when the old white vote gets a shellacking.

Bravo Nate Silver!

Todd

T-S;
I tried to get the transcript, but it has not been posted. Here’s the video… I thought it was great because she called out all the conspiracies of the right.

When she showed the reaction of the Fox crew, learning the Ohio vote, I was in stitches. I don’t watch Fox but the bedazzled blond was dumbfounded. She knew what the loss of Ohio meant, but she was looking for someone to explain some magic moment for Rmoney to un-sling his ass.

nameless

the wingnuts are looking for every excuse to explain what happened on tuesday. i can't wait to hear rove's explanation. i hope someone records his synopsis to those big money donors. it's like 2006 all over again.

Coiler

"The billionaire donors I hear are livid," one Republican operative told The Huffington Post. "There is some holy hell to pay. Karl Rove has a lot of explaining to do … I don't know how you tell your donors that we spent $390 million and got nothing."

Rove even suffered the indignity of being insulted on Twitter by the blustery Donald Trump, who had attended Romney's election night party here on Tuesday night, but left early after it was clear that Obama had won a second term.

"Congrats to @KarlRove on blowing $400 million this cycle. Every race @CrossroadsGPS ran ads in, the Republicans lost. What a waste of money," Trump tweeted, inaccurately.

Crossroads GPS spent money in the Nevada Senate race, where Republican incumbent Sen. Dean Heller defeated Democratic challenger Shelley Berkley. The group also spent money on numerous House races.

Rove was forced to defend his group's expenditures live on Fox News on Tuesday night, and will hold a briefing with top donors on Thursday, according to Politico.

nameless

ohhhhh, thank you thank you thank you, Coiler this is right on time. i'll be looking this up on huffpo

BlackRhino

In the wake of the Obama victory come a raft interesting stories.

New Mexico Police Look Into Possible In-Person Voter Fraud
Spoiler alert, it’s a republican…

From the ‘I wonder if some of these conspiratorial wing nuts will re-think it’ file, Dean Chambers
‘Unskewed Polls’ Founder Admits He Was Wrong
Chambers congratulated Larry Sabato and

“Nate Silver of the New York Times blog fivethirtyeight.com predicted all 50 states correctly and projected Obama to win the states exactly as he did. I congratulate them both on getting it right and Nate Silver for going 50 for 50 in getting all the states right in the presidential election.”

Mike Barer

I doubt that Rove will be welcome in the Republican Party much longer.
The Republicans have forgotten what made Reagan a two term president. It wasn't talking hard line. It was by shining the dialogue of the Mitt Romneys and making it palatable for human consumption. There is a reason that not many company CEOs get elected.

Coiler

Victoria Jackson on twitter:

Thanks a lot Christians, for not showing up. You disgust me.

Walt

University of Mississippi students held a candlelight march to protest a spontaneous anti-Obama demonstration on Election Night that turned ugly when some students shouted racial slurs.

About 600 “Ole Miss” students gathered for the “We Are One Mississippi” counter-protest Wednesday night, WREG-TV reported. Together, they recited the campus creed affirming “the respect and dignity of each person.”

The Tuesday night protest grew to about 400 students after Obama was re-elected. Some shouted, “The South will rise again” during the protest, eyewitnesses and university police officials told The Clarion-Ledger. Others used racial slurs. An Obama campaign sign was also burned.

There's nothing that says "Respect and Dignity" like a good racial slur.

Walt

Evolution is all about creatures becoming extinct when they do not learn how to adapt to changing environments. The Republicans should change their animal symbol to the dinosaur.

They lost because they have what's called unconscious incompetence. They don't realize that they were living in a fantasy world where they could not lose. They're shocked and disbelieving of loss. Well, frankly my dear, they were delusional. If the Democrats had lost, they would have been angry but not shocked. They would have known exactly why they lost and they were prepared for it.

I celebrate the extinction process of the Republican party. If they can't learn and adapt, they deserve to die out.

Mr. Throckmorton, CEO, D.F. Beatdown Fund

the only lesson the Repubs need to take out of this election is ............never, ever nominate a Mormon again....most Repubs will vote for one, but the wacko Evangelicals will NEVER vote for a Mormon i don't care what they'll tell a pollster, and it's obvious there was a lot of lying going on in regards to that .....secondly, nominate a guy who if white, relates to Hispanics and Asians and has a running mate that is not another white guy, who also relates. With the changing demographics, the white on white ticket for Repubs is probably a thing of the past. One news report said that Marco Rubio was Mitts first choice, so maybe rubio declined. That being said, Romney is a great guy and would have made a far better president than Obama. Head and shoulders above him. I've made some criticisms there, but you'll never see any of the cult ,er club members here crtiicize Obama on anything. Club Hopey Changey members have nothing but praise for their Dear Leader Barack. let me echo Victoria Jackson....thanks christians, you bigoted bastards , for not voting. You are truly disgusting.

Mr. Throckmorton, CEO, D.F. Beatdown Fund

the reason i didnt say Blacks, Hispanics and Asians, istead of Hispanics and Asians is that just as Evangelicals will never vote for a Mormon, blacks will never vote for a Republican. Never, ever.

Coiler

Who did Alan West vote for? I think you're losing focus.

nameless

There was a time when blacks voted republican. Republicans are on the verge of commiting the same mistake again.

Thomas and people like him, the real reason Republicans are falling out of favor.

Observer

You'all have GOT to stop listening to Rush Limbaugh if you ever want to get the confidence of the people of America ever again. It's idiots like that who have taken you down the path of illusion. Rush couldn't be farther from the real pulse of this nation. If you don't wake up and realize this, you will go the way of the Whigs.
Bwahahaha

Observer

Knock-knock, Sybil can Tommy or Hal come out and play.

Hedge Fund Hal

"If you members of the media have a problem with Ms. Rice, then you got a problem with me"- Obama at his press conference the other day.......gee does that sound like the words befitting the stature of a U.S. President? It sounds like something Tony Soprano would say. Kind of creepy the way Barack is already changing his speech and demeanor, showing the real man. The mask is being ripped clean off, folks. He would never talk like that when he was still at risk of an election defeat. He's really painted himself into a corner with his claim that early intelligence reports said that the anti-Mohammed video was the cause of the Benghazi violence. There never were any such reports and the press knows it. This issue is just going to get ugliere. It's clearly not going away. Nor should it.

Preston

Our president said "kiss my black ass". Good for him

Any one hear about Lee Atwater’s Infamous 1981 Interview on the Southern Strategy. This is the same southern strategy the republicans often deny. Beware, it’s ugly.

TS for Rhino

Hey Rhino, I didn't know you posted this! I just posted about the same thing on the most recent blog. Isn't that something! Could it really be? This sure justifies Brad's concerns at Brad's Blog. I think it's possible. They're all criminals on the right. Sociopathic, psychotic criminals.

holy balls, did anyone listen to the Lee Atwater interview? that's got to be the most damnning thing i've ever heard.
