Nose was used in contract talks

Talkers  and others are reporting that talk show host Laura Ingraham has parted ways with her syndication, Talk RadioNetwork (TRN). Another spare parts of radio hosts, Tammy Bruce is filling in.

Earlier this year Michael "Savage" Weiner sued to end his contract with TRN.

Ingraham states :

"After more than 9 years with the distributor Talk Radio Network, I decided it was time to move on.  After much thought and reflection, I have decided to pursue my first loves — modern dance and the xylophone.  In the highly unlikely event that these efforts do not prove fruitful, I intend to return to radio.  Seriously — to the more than 300 stations that carry the Laura Ingraham show and to all my loyal listeners, I feel the time is right to expand and retool my radio program and to explore other syndication options, which I am now actively pursuing.  During this brief hiatus, my team and I will continue to deliver thought-provoking and entertaining analysis via my website.”

 

Some perspective on TRN "Dial Global is under contract with TRN for Ingraham's show, which has more than 300 affiliates. In August, TRN filed an anti-trust lawsuit against Dial Global. In September, Michael Savage left TRN and later signed with Cumulus. 

Our guess is that any new contract with TRN was less that what Ingraham was willing to accept in the face of declining revenues, the lawsuit with DG and the backlash from the Nov elections.

Rush has only 600 affiliates and makes just $59 mil/yr...btw in Boston no comm. radio prog talk in Boston. Jeff Santos had been buying time from 1510 in Boston and running his own show as well as Dial Global ones. Then for some reason Jeff and DG couldn't come to terms or something so it was just Jeff's show. Then THAT disappeared as the owners wanted to go all sports with NBCSports (and yahoo).

Who syndicates NBC Sports? DialGlobaal. Are you ready for some football? (Meanwhile while CC put Fox Sports in place of prog talk on KPOJ, they killed off their cons. talker in Boston--Rush went back to his previous, powerful station...and 1200 went to all comedy.

I think she will become one of the first in a series right wing talkers to become less relevant as she made bad predictions on a Rmoney win, that SCOTUS would overturn the Affordable Health mandate and other errata. She may pop up on CC or FOX TV

Leykis has been calling Ingraham the C Word on his internet radio show. Except he uses the actual word and its nt bleeped out.
