Ryan says 'unelected judges' should not set our abortion policy, but unelected judges should reverse Roe V Wade.

Whaaa?

Finis Hominis

That’s nothing, here are the six studies Ryan was referring too. Three of which are blog posts, imagine Thomas (financial expert as he is) would exert this sort of authority? Would the Rmoney campaign take him seriously?
The 6 Studies Paul Ryan Cited Prove Mitt Romney's Tax Plan Is Impossible

Gentlemen Rouge

Ryan’s dumbfounded look when Biden pointed out Ryan’s petitioning for stimulus dollars, after Ryan’s disparaging of the stimulus, was priceless. The hypocrisy of Ryan’s stimulus request was enlightening.

sparky

Ryan lied, Joe laughed, Ryan drank more water.

Hedge Fund Hal

The comments have been coming in on talkradio and cable news all day , whether from female anchors like Gretchen Carlson or just regular women and their girlfriends. Women are offended and angered by Biden's boorishness and rudeness last night. They see it as a "dealbreaker" and are deciding for Romney because of it. Many of them saw Biden as a close duplicate of their abusive first husbands, while watching the debate.

Hedge Fund Hal

The laughter and grinning from Biden last night was mirthless and masklike, covering up something else. The "something else" was his white hot anger and fury. Obama had the same anger, in his go round with Romney, except he covered it with those fake broad smiles. Both of them are absolutely furious that this Mormon "rube" and his guy Ryan are now beating them in the polls, and will inevitably go ahead in enough states in the next 3 weeks plus to win the election.

OneWhoKnows

Seems to me like 'Hal' is calling the election for Romney by the above statement. WOW, will he be in for a surprise on Nov 7th! Lets reference this post of his on that date for his reference. Bwahahahah

KS blathers

Obama and Biden are doing their best impression of Thelma and Louise - ready and raring to drive their car over the cliff and see how many lemmings will follow them.

T-S , BR and Sparky- if you had functioning brains, you'd be dangerous. Sorry, but you people apparently have a bad case of apathy and a death wish

In Benghazi - Obama and Biden lied & 4 Americans died.
In Arizona - Holder lied and at least 2 Americans died.

T-S

KS is Talking Points Central.

ExPattBrit

Glad you are at least watching the highbrow stuff nowadays.

Gretchen Carlson from Fox and Fiends (sic)??

She is so smart!

http://www.thedailyshow.com/watch/tue-april-21-2009/moment-of-zen---ignoramus

Daily Show should be a great tomorrow.

Hedge Fund Hal

the problem for you, Pat, and your crew here, is that so many, many more Americans identify with Gretchen Carlson and Paul Ryan's midwestern decency and good humor than they do with the laughing, meanspirited, snide sneering troll that showed up at the debate Thursday night, impersonating a sitting vice-president. the smartest guy in the room, he thought. Nobody makes a monkey out of Jolting Joe Biden. So he htought. This weekend, Americans are laughing at Joe , in supermarkets, cafes coffeehouses, and home depot's, all over this land. Your mockery rings hollow, Pat-false bravado, right before Barack's Reaganesque "45 states for our guy, five for yours" defeat , which is coming down on you like a freight train now.

Hedge Fund Hal

"
"Carteresque"......not Reaganesque

T-S

Are you trying out a new piece of fiction, H-T-D? That's all I'm reading. Chapter after chapter after chapter.

Coiler

At least Joe Biden didn't shoot anyone in the face, like the last VP.

KS blathers

BTW, Fox News drew more viewers for this debate than any others including NBC, ABC and CBS. That has happened a few times in the past. Interesting how Fox News suddenly has credibility (they have actually had it for a while), but the liberal progressives have a excremental fit when they hear this and have a problem handling that truth.

If you doubt that, then explain why Fox News had more viewers then...

Walt

"Interesting how Fox News suddenly has credibility" HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAhahahahahahahahahahah
KS you are a riot.

" If you doubt that, then explain why Fox News had more viewers "
Because people in nursing homes dont have anything else to do!

BlackRhino

Whining about how you lost as opposed to why you lost exposes the republican fib. “Get over it!, Suck it up! And Stop whining!” Republicans engage these memes when convenient but when they are called on their lies they use these memes like a cuddly blanket.

Ryan lied; you can complain all you want about how Biden reacted to the lies. But your own words will bury you, ‘stop whining’, and stop lying. It might help.

Hedge Fund Hal

Ryan won on all the points that mattered...style gravitas, deportment, facts, reasoning......if you didn't get a bump, you didn't win Roscoe.....this is Presidential election politics not some dry debating society points scoreboard ....and guess what- you didn't get any bump Johnson......bwahaahahahahahaahahaaa.....Reuters/Apsos poll shows Romney increasing his lead nationally from 1 to 3 points in one day since the veep debate.... Gallup has him ahead by two points now that theyve scrapped the registered voters crap and went to likely voters......

T-S

Was the debate actually carried on all three networks?

Obviously, Fox non-News comes cheaper than MSNBC. Those corporatista can't afford for low-information lower-IQ voters to have access to actual information.

Hedge Fund Hal

that was the Reuters/Ipsos poll that showed the increase from one point lead to three point lead for Romney

T-S

You know, Hal err tommy err dick, I don't care about bumps. And I can't wait for the election because your banal piece of fiction is getting really, really stale.

BlackRhino

Thomas, are you sure a bounce didn’t occur? And when the polls roll in, will you discover a new un-skewed conspiracy?

Hedge Fund Hal

yes i'm certain.in fact he lost votes for his boss, especially women voters.

Hedge Fund Hal

KS....the average Anerican can relate to the people on Foxnews....Gretchen Carlson can look at something like the veep debate, and see that Gore behaved like a meanspirited, boorish bully and be outraged by it, as can most Americans. How many people can relate to Rachel Maddow or Wolf Blitzer?.....Rachel Maddow said after the "Disaster in Denver", and I quote......."The President may have lost the debate last night, but he won the post-debate". That is as fatuous and stupid a comment as anything that has crossed Grtetchen Carlson's lips, and belongs in an SNL skit. Stewart ridiculed Maddow on his show for the comment, just like he did Carlson at one or more points in the past. Our libber crew on here (attractiveness-challenged themselves? we can only wonder) is woefully making the classic anti-Foxnews bigot mistake- equating attractiveness with stupidity.

Hedge Fund Hal

"Gore?" ...bwahahahahahahahahahaaa.......obviously i meant Biden......not Gore

KS blathers

T-S is opining in thin air - and is a blatant anti-Fox News bigot as HFH correctly stated. Yes, the debate was carried on the 3 alphabet networks. Also consider the source as it comes from someone who is a low information voter who may know who is running and intellectually dishonest and unable to connect the dots.

I get that you want to avoid talking about Benghazi and the death of Ambassador Stevens and 3 other Americans on 9/11/12 and the coverup by the White House.

KS blathers

one more thing...
The larger the government, the smaller the individual becomes and you can take that to the bank. Not one totalitarian country in history has or can disprove this unassailable fact.

T-S

Blitzer? Maddow? Carlson? You certainly are stuck on celebrities, aren't you? As Rhino said, stop the whining. The lies Romney and Ryan spew speak for themselves.

and unable to connect the dots.

A little plagiarism? to be expected I guess from someone who only knows commentators and pundits but displays little original thinking.

As for KS' failing memory, a little reminder:

The memo—called, simply enough, "A Plan For Putting the GOP on TV News"— is included in a 318-page cache of documents...

...The documents...reveal Ailes to be a tireless television producer and joyful propagandist.

... He frequently floated ideas for creating staged events and strategies for manipulating the mainstream media into favorable coverage,

...it reads today like a detailed precis for a Fox News prototype.

Bottom Line: people are lazy

He's talking about you, KS.

T-S

I don't want to avoid talking about Benghazi. It was a compound four hundred miles from the embassy. What's the matter with you? And it is the Republicans in the House who are limited spending.

You can't have it both ways. Well, you think you can. Which is why it is impossible to have a reasonable and intelligent conversation.

T-S

A reference to a John Kennedy speech from a column by Gary Hart: "For the great enemy of truth is very often not the lie -- deliberate, contrived, and dishonest -- but the myth -- persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic. Too often we hold fast to the clichés of our forebears. We subject all facts to a prefabricated set of interpretations. We enjoy the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought."

That's what Fox non-News does. In a nutshell.

favorable coverage,

Nothing by baseless hyperbole, is that all you have ?

T-S It is impossible for you to have a conversation because you have no substance to defend your positions. When you learn how to have a substantive debate.

Republicans funding responsible for lack of security in Benghazi ? You are reading from Stephanie Cutter's list of talking points- doesn't pass the smell or laughing tests. She would repeatedly flunk lie-detector tests if given, as would Ms. Madcow.
You really should not want to discuss Benghazi, because no matter how you cut it, the Democrat Party looks bad, even if you try making excuses (which are false) about the lack of funding caused by the House, but who are you to listen to reason ? LMAO

T-S

It is the document. Online. Verifiable.

Benghazi - state dept looks bad. What does it have to do with either party? Reread the Kennedy quote. You are proving it right now.

Lee Atwaters Ghost

Ryan voted to cut security spending at embassies, he didn't deny this during the debate. Romney/Ryan--killers...

Hedge Fund Hal

the bill was for embassy building maintenance not security. That vote had nothing to do with the ability of the Obama's state department or Obama himself to authorize the dispatching of additional security personnel (marines) to satisfy an emergency request for more security at Benghazi. Absolutely outrageous that , when confronted by this question, this horse's ass Biden engaged in sophistry and demogoguery by citing Ryan's vote on an irrelevant embassy building maintenance bill and then said somehting like "so much for your embassy security issue", as if that absolved him and Obama of any blame in the situation. T-S , don't you think it's time for you to start menatally preparing yourself for the two framed photgraphs, one of a grinnign Mitt, and one of a grinning Paul, on the front wall of your classroom? Certainly after Tuesdays debate , and Obama/Biden's third straight humiliating debate defeat, it will be that time.

Preston

all you've done Hal 2000 is argue style over substance, did you even watch the debate?

Preston

That's a big fat lie Hal:

For fiscal 2013, the GOP-controlled House proposed spending $1.934 billion for the State Department’s Worldwide Security Protection program — well below the $2.15 billion requested by the Obama administration. House Republicans cut the administration’s request for embassy security funding by $128 million in fiscal 2011 and $331 million in fiscal 2012. (Negotiations with the Democrat-controlled Senate restored about $88 million of the administration’s request.) Last year, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton warned that Republicans’ proposed cuts to her department would be “detrimental to America’s national security” — a charge Republicans rejected.

[GOP vice presidential nominee Paul] Ryan, [Rep. Darrell] Issa and other House Republicans voted for an amendment in 2009 to cut $1.2 billion from State operations, including funds for 300 more diplomatic security positions. Under Ryan’s budget, non-defense discretionary spending, which includes State Department funding, would be slashed nearly 20 percent in 2014, which would translate to more than $400 million in additional cuts to embassy security.

“It’s also important to note,” House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) said last week, “that the Republican appropriation in Congress gave the administration $300 million less than it asked for for the State Department, including funding for security.”

Hedge Fund Hal

completely irrelevant to the question asked Obama by Ryan and the moderator. Ryan and Raddatz didn't ask Biden how he and Ryan voted on the embassy bill. That was for general day to day security- it has nohting to do with an emergency operation to remedy a dangeous situation at an embassy, by dispatching a squad or platoon of Marines. There was not a shortage of Marines because of Ryan's vote. Biden did a sleight of hand, then announced arrogantly that the embassy security matter was now a dead issue because Ryan voted against this bill. The American people plainly saw thtis guy shamelessly evading the tough question. this ass who calls himself a veep, went to a red herring to distract everyone but it didn't work. Raddatz went back to the original question and he said "we didn't know anythign about it". That was it from Joe. We know nothing. Absolutely disgusting despicable. You libber crew here needs to just man up and woman up, and admit that your guys blew each of their debates, bigtime, with two left to try to reverse things. I predict two more humiliating defeats for Obama- i have no reason to expect different results. Romney is just that much better than Obama. I've already said that Obama's performance in the first debate was good enough to defeat McCain in one of the 2008 debates. Unfortunately he is not running against McCain this time.

T-S

H-T-D will never leave the comfort of his uninformed opinions. He will parse every word until the droning subsides and he takes a break to refuel.

Hedge Fund Hal

so just so we're clear T-S ....you're ok with your government blatantly and cynically lying to you, just to so long as the President has a D after his name......and he's named Obama.......do you ever reach a point in this ongoing scandal where the lying will become too much even for you to bear T-S?...they lied to Sean Scott's mother right in the White House....Susan Rice telling her the computer specialist's mother that her son died at the Benghazi embassy because of a mob's rage over that video, when they knew from hour one that wasn't the case........there never was any mob.........just checking T-S.....

nameless

looks like thomas has been lurking at the wingnut dally blog.

Observer

He has never had an original thought, but yet drones on as if he has. Poor fellow.

Hedge Fund Hal

hahahahahahaaa KS do you notice that they'll write about anything except a response to the points i've made........."wingnut daily"....original thought".......various other personal attacks.....ad hominems......heres ya "original thought" Johnson........Laura Ingraham just had on a professor form Colorado whose election research unit has accurately called the last eight Presidential cycles.......he just called it for Romney with a comfortable 330 electoral vote victory.....you can couple that with the Gallup 50% in the polls by mid-September benchmark (obama didnt make it) for incumbent victory in Novemeber, which is also an unbroken successful predictive metric, going back through the hisory of Gallup, and you have pretty good odds in our favor.

Joe Friday

You're pretty high and far out. What kind of kick are you on, son?

Preston

No candidate who didn't carry his home state has ever won. Romney is down 20% in Mass

Observer

Exactly! Subject is obviously delusional, doesn't know whether he's in the hotel room or by the pool. I suspect when Nov 7th rolls around, the embarrassment will cause yet another Sybil personality to surface. Bwahaha

Walt

Even Chris Wallace thinks Mitt Romney’s “six studies” on his tax policy are “questionable.”

In an interview with Romney campaign advisor Ed Gillespie, Wallace said that the studies “are hardly non-partisan.”

Gillespie had just echoed Romney regarding the supposed “six studies” on his plan for an across-the-board tax cut. Romney has repeatedly used those studies to dispute the non-partisan Tax Policy Center’s conclusion that his tax cut would cost $5 trillion over 10 years, or require a tax increase for middle-income Americans.

Several of those studies are not really studies, but blog posts or Op-Eds; one is by Romney’s campaign advisers, most are not non-partisan, including one from the conservative think tank the American Enterprise Institute.

T-S

Another looney-toon hypocrite for Happy Hal's side: The anti-abortion Tennessee congressman and doctor who admitted last week to an affair with a patient ... printing details from a transcript of a phone call from 2000 in which he pressured the woman to get an abortion.

My, my. It never ends. Nothing but hypocrites on the right. Simple hypocrites.

BlackRhino

Did someone mention Chuck S?

BlackRhino

Dishwatergate: Dishwashing Scandal served up by Paul Ryan in an effort to placate the 47%

“The photo-op they did wasn’t even accurate. He did nothing. He just came in here to get his picture taken at the dining hall. [...]
Had they asked for permission, it wouldn’t have been granted. … But I certainly wouldn’t have let him wash clean pans and then take a picture.”

Monumental Fail!!!11!

Gentlemen Rouge

Unlike Obama, Ryan can say “I washed that”. Then thumb his nose at the libbers.
