Back when KXA was the home of "Old Gold 77", it wouldn't last much longer... from Wikipedia
Formerly, the station had the callsign KXA and had a classical music format. It was in a big battle with KING-FM 98.1 and KUOW-FM 94.9, which both on FM were doing the same format. In the late 1970s and early 1980s, the station aired an oldies format and was known as "Old Gold 77 KXA". The station dumped oldies and flipped to a simulcast of country station KRPM-FM (now KBKS-FM) and changed call letters to KRPM. The station would change call letters to KULL in 1991, but maintained the country format. In a format swap in 1995 with AM 1090, the station received the call letters KNWX and the talk format. The station would acquire the current call letters KTTH in 2003.

KXA was owned by Pat O'Day in early 80s and was kind of a training ground for KYYX board operators and DJs. While still owned by O'Day, it switched to Christian Talk and was run essentially as a separate station with it's own staff. That was kind of a nescessity, since KYYX was playing New Wave music at the time.

Jerry Kaye and I did the "Grand Finale" Old Gold 77 broadcast on KXA immediately prior to it changing format from "Old Gold" to "Oh God." As I said on the air at the time, "When times get tough, KXA turns to God."
Burl Barer, who saved the original reel to reel voice track tape of that finale.

We're talking about local guys in morning drive now like Curley, Radke and Boze.
Back then we had guys like BURL BARER and Jerry Kaye all over the radio dial.
Things were better back then.
