You snivelling 47 percenters just do not understand how hard it is to
be Mitt Romney. Because you lack the ability to care for yourself, you
look at self-made men like Mr. Romney with inexcusable envy. I beg of
you: LEAVE MITTNEY ALONE!!!! Let me tell you just a few stories that
highlight the hardships and almost unbearable sacrifices endured by Mr.
Romney in his life and in his campaign for President of the United
States.
Just yesterday, according to the AP, Mr. Romney pointed out that "My campaign schedule has been hectic. I’m not even going to be able to go home today.” By home, he was referring to his second home in nearby La Jolla, CA. Can you imagine the pain of flying in to collect $1,000 to $50,000 per person donations from 650 people while being unable to even pop in and visit the car elevator in your 3,600 square foot garage? Can you??!!??
Even Mrs. Romney had to recently stand up for her man, saying "Stop it! This is hard!" when her husband came under fire from Republican pundits for running perhaps the worst presidential campaign in recorded history. She continued, "It is time for all Americans to realize how significant this election is and how lucky we are to have someone with Mitt's qualifications and experience and know-how to be able to have the opportunity to run this country."
By 'all Americans', of course, Mrs. Romney was referring to the 53% of us who pay Federal income tax, not the moochers who live on Social Security income or military combat pay. Especially not those who were unable to exercise enough personal responsibility to be born with a silver spoon in their mouth.
Have you ever heard how hard Mr. and Mrs. Romney had it when they were a young married couple? The horror story about how Mr. Romney's father bought them a house that they later sold at a handy profit? The nearly unbearable misery of struggling through an education at Harvard University while living hand to mouth on the paltry income generated by selling off stock shares given Mr. Romney by his father?
As if that's not enough agony, just think about all the liberal handwringing about Mr. Romney's tax returns. We know for a fact that Mr. and Mrs. Romney are generous people. Price Waterhouse accountants even wrote a letter proving the Romneys gave an average 13.4% in charitable contributions the past 20 years. Why, even subtracting out the mandatory 10% tithing forced on them by the Mormon Church, that still leaves a generous 3.4% to all other charities combined.
And finally, did you know that Mr. Romney did not get an inheritance from his wealthy parents. According to Mr. Romney, "What I got from my parents when they passed away, I gave away to charity and to my kids." That's right, you leeching 47 percenters reading this diary. This man is so selfless that he gave away one million dollars to Brigham Young University (the Mormon Church's college) and his children. I'll bet you haven't given away a million dollars. Losers.
So, I beg of you, miserable freeloading scum reading this diary. For once in your life take some personal responsibility and show that you care about more than you and your victimhood. For the sake of America and for the sake of delivering us from a disastrous 4 more years of Obama economic recovery and social equity -- LEAVE MITTNEY ALONE!!!!
keep laughing....keep sneering....keep chuckling....keep chortling...even if 2011's 30% to charity is an anomalous year coming in on the top of the high side, the 13.4 percent average (it's your problem if you're a religious bigot) to charity is I'm sure higher than Barack and his wife have ever given during their most generous year. They would be touting their own numbers if they had any that beat Mitt's. They don't Last i heard half brother George Obama is still waiting to be taken out of that sweltering Nairobi slum by Captain Compassion. Suddenly this election, unlike previous elections is all about Romeny's charitable giving ( but not Obama's) simply because Romney is a member of the superrich. Even with this added scrutiny Romney comes hrough with flying colors.

The American people see through this kind of bias and unfairness by the press (Romney given a rectal exam over his taxes and charitable given while the reporters' and tv analysts' darlings Barry and Michelle are given a free pass) and this is gradually starting to have a backlash effect. But by all means...keep lauging....keep chuckling.... keep chortling....keep sneering.... people can see through this.......
Posted by: Hedge Fund Hal | September 23, 2012 at 05:52 PM
undoubtedly both candidates increased their charitable giving in 2011 the year before the election. It's called "politics". Really, the American populace clearly sees through this at his point, and the leftwing pro-Obama press is now basically writing articles for each other. The voters know they are electing a President, not a damn Pope.

note to Romney voters......when you see completely gratuitous, snide leftwing nonsense like the stuff up top here, you know they are worried. All the sarcasm and the forced humor reeks just a tad of desperation. Just a tad.

“After a few rough weeks for Mitt Romney and with polls beginning to swing in President Obama’s favor, conservatives on the Sunday talk shows” criticize Rmoney.
“Certainly in part, it is a referendum on this president, there is no doubt about it,” said Gov. Scott Walker (R-WI) in an appearance on “Fox News Sunday.” “But I think for most Americans … they want to know more than what’s wrong with this president. They want to know what’s right, and what’s going to move this country forward, and I think Mitt Romney has got that plan. I want to see fire in the belly. I want to see him move forward.”
Bill Kristol of the conservative Weekly Standard gave similar advice on the “Fox News Sunday” roundtable, saying that the fact that Obama was handed a bad economic situation makes a referendum message problematic for Romney. Kristol said that Obama has turned the economy around “pretty well” considering the crisis the inherited.
New York Times columnist David Brooks similarly urged Romney to run the rest of his campaign on an agenda for the next four years. Like Walker, Brooks argued that Romney’s campaign seemed to lack passion. But in contrast to Walker, who suggested Romney channel the “fire in the belly,” Brooks advised Romney take an “extremely wonky” approach.
“Mitt Romney does not have the passion for the stuff he’s talking about,” Brooks said on NBC’s “Meet the Press” roundtable. “He’s a problem solver. I think he’s a non-ideological person running in an extremely ideological age, and he’s faking it.”

Like monkeys on a teeter-totter, it goes back and forth, up and down. I watched A focus group from Pennsylvania today led by master pollster Peter Hart. Amazing how many Americans still don't know the facts. They sort of get Obamacare - sort of. And they sort of like it. Except for the Obama-haters. But they don't get anything else. Most of them thought Obama too "cool" and lacking humility. Many thought he talked a good game. An said they had "heard it before" and some of them voted for him. This was a group of supposed "undecideds" although Hart and the journalists discussing them later agreed several had made up their minds.
Ann Romney made a good impression with them. So did Michelle. The biggest problem I heard? Too many thought Obama should "reach across the aisle." That he couldn't get it done because he wasn't reaching across the aisle. Nobody seemed to understand that the Republicans vowed on day one to obstruct everything.
If that's the way the average so-called independent and undecided voter thinks, we are in a world of hurt. Nobody works so hard that they can't keep up with a little bit of the news. What a stupid group of people. And it's not the first time I've heard focus groups that are intended to represent the average American sound so stupid.
Brooks "Romney...problem solver . . . non ideological?" Brooks is an idiot. Why does anybody invite Brooks into any intelligent discussion?
Posted by: T-S | September 23, 2012 at 11:18 PM
"what a stupid group of people"....because the people in the group don't care for Obama's personality they're "the Obama-haters"....if you didn't care for your principal at the school you worked in (let's call him Mr. Jonus) because he came across as arrogant and aloof to you, would you consider yourself a "Jonus hater"....and since because they probably aren't going to vote for First Dude they are of course those "stupid " people. You ARE in a world of hurt, T-S. I've been trying to tell you people that for a few weeks. Undecideds always break big for the challenger this close to the election, according to Gallup.
Posted by: Hedge Fund Hal | September 24, 2012 at 12:17 AM
You read like you write: too fast and totally non-comprehending. As for you trying to tell anybody anything? That's a joke.
I've been trying to tell you people that for a few weeks."
Calm down, Ann.
Undecideds always break big for the challenger this close to the election, according to Gallup.
I keep telling you that's because they are lying Obama-haters. Why are you so slow?

T-S, sounds like you were watching a tainted discussion group. It happens.the poles for the indies are starting to trickle in. i've seen some that reflect Obama pulling most of them. i've also been cruising the right wing blog spots, and thomas seems to be reflecting every word.

hhahaha i may have misread your particular paragraph there, but it really makes no difference. You have certainly called many of us in the past "Obama-haters", merely for accurately characterizing him as "arrogant". My point still stands. You wouldn't consider yourself a "Jonus-hater" if your 50 year old white male boss Mr. Jonus talked to you in an arrogant, aloof manner and you didn't care for him because of that.

proud American- The Repubs have the first female Hispanic Governor, a couple of Indian-American Governors (first time ever) and many more examples of diversity. Your Politico article sounds like pretentious nonsense, written by a lib elitist, who only sees Democratic Party minorities who have achieved state or national office as representing legitimate, real "diversity". The others are "invisible" non=persons and race traitors. Sorry i'll take a pass on your lecturing, condescending article. hahahahhaaaa

you notice how T-S now goes straight for the ad hominems in her gratuitously insulting posts that masquerade as "reponses" to my non-personal, to the point comments. hhahahaah a real sign of desperation...and intellectual bankruptcy.....by the way, T-S, your side's attempts to smear Romney on the 47% speech has completely fizzled, according to Gallups new numbers, and Rasmussen's as well. Obama popularity down from post-convention numbers (now 46 %)... Barry's lead is gone- nationally its dead even now. hhahhaahah hahaT-S

From the pages of The American Conservative
Craig Robinson, a former political director of the Republican Party of Iowa.
“I hate to say this, but if Ryan wants to run for national office again, he’ll probably have to wash the stench of Romney off of him.”
Can you imagine that, stench?
But as I always, the genuineness can be found in the comments.
This from a commenter named Nathan;
“Romney was the right candidate – four years ago and could have beaten a little known community organizer then. Against an incumbent now? It’s starting to look doubtful.
But there’s a bigger problem here. The republicans seem incapable of putting up good candidates at the national level. Both Bush’s were bad, the son absolutely ghastly. Dole, McCain, Romney have been mediocre at best. And look at the field this year for the primaries. Newt was horrible. And most of the rest were average at best. Santorum lost his last election by what, a significant margin, right?”

Tommy , telling Bibi to "fvck off" for a change is a plus in my book.

i may have misread your particular paragraph there,
Hahahahahahaha. Oh my. You're a laugh a minute. Yes, you may have. Hahahahaha.
Nameless, it is possible but these focus groups are often quite indicative of the subtext. What's really going on underneath. When the money ads hit the airwaves, I'm hoping we'll see that voters are more informed than this little group. Again, I think "undecideds" are usually really Republicans who lie. Democrats are usually more educated and more authentic. But in the end, the proof will be in the outcome of the election.
I posted some time ago that I was sitting at a union meeting of teachers and one of them did not know who Newt Gingrich was. We do have a terribly stupid electorate. Those of us on this blog are probably the exceptions.

TommyHal this is especially for you...
On Friday night’s episode of Real Time, host Bill Maher closed his “New Rules” segment with rant ripping into “undecided voters.”
“If you’re one of the 5 percent of American voters who are still undecided on who to vote for, it’s okay to admit you just don’t really give a shit,” Maher began. “Seriously, if you still can’t figure out who you like more –Mitt Romney or Barrack Obama– stay home… because you probably couldn’t find your polling place anyway. I mean, what more information does someone need to make this choice? Obama has been President for nearly four years. And Mitt Romney has been running for President since 1971, when his space egg incubated and he burst out of an astronaut’s chest.”
But Maher’s criticism wasn’t merely for the “undecideds,” but for notion that mainstream media outlets give their opinions weight.
“Can we please stop treating them like they’re more noble and discerning than the rest of us? …[Undecided voters are] put on a pedestal by the media, as if they’re Hamlet in a think tank, searching out every last bit of information and high-minded arbiters pouring over policy positions and matching them against their own philosophies. Please! They mostly fall into a category political scientists call ‘low-information voters’ –otherwise known as ‘dipshits.’”

Savage played a speech made overhte weekend made by Michelle Obama in front of the Black Congressional Caucus. In this speech , where she expounded on the civil rights movement and slavery, she used "we" a lot, as in "we black people" not as in "we Americans". Savage had problems with parts of the speech but also the bigger point of the appropriateness of speaking in that manner in the position of First Lady. I agree with Savage anf no, I don't think it is appropriate at all. If you wanted to still make those kinds of speeches you should have divorced Barack after he was elected, Michelle, and made hem to your hearts content. You represent all Americans now. Or you and Barack should have passed on the First Family gameplan and stayed at the Senator and wife level. Not appropriate ,tacky and in poor taste.
Posted by: Hedge Fund Hal | September 24, 2012 at 11:56 PM
Michelle just forfeited her First Lady position, in my opinion. I now no longer consider her our First Lady, but Michelle Obama, wife of The President and White House Advocate for Black People's Civil Rights.......sorry....you can't have your cake and eat it , too.....have to decide who you're going to be here
Posted by: Hedge Fund Hal | September 25, 2012 at 12:11 AM
This is exactly the kind of thing that annoys and disturbs T-S'es "stupid people" in the pollsters focus group, when they contemplate Barack and Michelle, the "stupid" ones that she correctly suspected are not going to vote for Obama.
Posted by: Hedge Fund Hal | September 25, 2012 at 12:22 AM
hummm, i thought black Americans were Americans too. i guess in the eyes of some others are not worthy of advocacy.
Posted by: nameless | September 25, 2012 at 04:57 AM
so her "we" didn't include you and therefore, inappropriate? you know tommy, sometimes "we" dosen't include you. when mitt decided 47% of the population was a write off while behind closed doors, you had not a bad word for him. of the two situations one is very sinister. i implore you, grow up.

To say there are uninformed voters is perhaps the greatest understatement ever made. Informed voters have likely made up their minds already while those that have no clue will simply vote for the incumbent. Is it our duty or priviledge to vote, and is it not the same to be able to exercise our right not to vote. Think about it. Haha.
