Michael Savage's talk show left the airwaves Thursday after the conservative host won a legal battle with his longtime employer, although his attorney said discussions with new networks are already under way.
An email sent to Oregon-based Talk Radio Network was not immediately returned. Savage's bio and name already have been removed from the company's website.

Savage posted a message on his website Thursday evening under the headline "Free at Last!" that said he was free to work with any station or network from now on. He said he "will not be heard on the radio for some time."
His attorney Daniel Horowitz said Savage left Talk Radio Network after obtaining a favorable ruling in arbitration Thursday afternoon.
Good riddance

Good news for Dr. Savage - this is a double edged sword for the liberal progs. My prediction; He will be baaaaaccccccckkkkkk !

Which means stations like KVI, which already carry him delayed will now replay the worst of Savage--delayed.
Posted by: Preston | September 27, 2012 at 09:26 PM
Who cares about Savage. The dumbest of the dumb are the only ones who listen. They may be a lot of people which doesn't say much for America. They are still the dumbest of the dumbs.

'Tis but a speck of sand in the vast desert of irrelevance and matters not in the overall scheme of life.
Posted by: Observer | September 28, 2012 at 07:50 AM
Outstanding. Now maybe more listeners will tune into shows like Stephanie Miller, Thom Hartmann, Big Ed, Randy (she's so brilliant) Rhodes, and of course the smartest of the smart, the only talk radio host with a PhD Maddude. I know it might be derogatory calling her that but hey, she does look like a dude and I've heard she is the alpha of her household. When more people tune in those radio hosts, hey will undoubtly switch MSNBC making them number 1 on flat screens all over the US. This could be the start of America becoming smarter.
Posted by: Hussein for Obama | September 28, 2012 at 08:43 AM
-LMAO - Don't count on that, even though America has dumbed down quite a bit in the last 10 years. MSNBC ratings are in the toilet and will remain there.
If Randi think she is so damn smart, what is her solution about how to deal with Iran and the oncoming Arab Winter in the mideast ?
Posted by: KS blathers | September 28, 2012 at 09:56 AM
What is your solution? $7-10 dollar a gallon gas?
Posted by: Preston | September 28, 2012 at 09:59 AM
"Maddude"....... I believe she is referring to "The Sneerer", Rachel Maddow........

The solution is as plain as the nose on your face - Get a new president !
Americans wasted four years for the current White House resident to do something about the economy

This was your question...
If Randi think she is so damn smart, what is her solution about how to deal with Iran and the oncoming Arab Winter in the mideast ?
Posted by: KS blathers | September 28, 2012 at 09:56 AM
What would a 'new' president do about Iran and the "Arab Winter" Put on a jacket?
Posted by: Preston | September 28, 2012 at 11:13 AM
Faux news is in trouble. They just showed a guy blow his head out on live tv.
Posted by: Hussein for Obama | September 28, 2012 at 12:33 PM
T-S watches Fox News ? They just stole MSNBC's thunder then... hahahaha
Posted by: KS blathers | September 28, 2012 at 12:46 PM
If I was this TS that would be funny KS. But i am not and watch Shepard Smith regularly since he reported from New Orleans during Bushs failure after Katrina. You remember that fiasco right or were you still in elementary school. That's when Bush failed to evacuate New Orleans and just flew over the city most likely laughing at the black residents that fell victim to Katrina's power.Google it.
Posted by: Hussein for Obama | September 28, 2012 at 01:01 PM
Arab winter? What are you talking about. Be clear, we can't read your mind.
Posted by: Hussein for Obama | September 28, 2012 at 01:06 PM
....accidents happen when trying to present live tv news coverage and protect public sensibilities at the same time...this could just as easily be CNN or MSNBC in the story..Foxnews does not have the franchise on car chases ... Shep apologized.....the story is already being buried in the news cycle....this extreme, mindless hatred of Foxnews, among our leftwing rabids here, particularly one perpetually angry , bitter and personally insulting person who posts all the time, under two or three different monikers, is really laughable, KS.
Posted by: Hedge Fund Hal | September 28, 2012 at 01:30 PM
Hal, here is some news for you, it didn't happen on CNN or MSNBC. It happened on FAUX News. The sooner you realize this the sooner you'll know you are acting the fool for a lying scum bucket of a new station.
Posted by: Hussein for Obama | September 28, 2012 at 02:07 PM
"Stevensgate" now really gathering traction as the election approaches......oh boy....man oh man......could mean the difference for Obama between victory and failure/loss in an election this close........ perfect setup for Mitt in the foreign policy debate...

Quiet everyone, tommy is switching conspiracies.
Posted by: Preston | September 28, 2012 at 02:46 PM
Hussein for Obama, I think you're as confused as our blathering friend, KS. At least he admits he's blathering all the time. When someone actually admits they don't make much sense, you gotta give them credit. At least he's consistent.
What's your schtick?
Posted by: T-S | September 28, 2012 at 04:06 PM
My shtick, is being the best Progressive I can be. Unlike you I will actually respond reasonably with out name calling. That should have been a clue that I am not you. Is he always this clueless.
Posted by: Hussein for Obama | September 28, 2012 at 05:21 PM
My my, aren't we self-righteous.
Maddude. I know it might be derogatory
Yes, it is.
Posted by: T-S | September 28, 2012 at 07:13 PM
Step back, take a deep breath and solemly ask yourself, does it REALLY matter? Dec 21st is quickly approaching my friends; grab on to something of substance. When you check out do you really think your final thought will be 'I wish I would have spent more time on the BW blog'. Think about it.
Posted by: Observer | September 28, 2012 at 07:22 PM
Ok, I’ll bite…why would we contemplate our remaining dreamy moments with a dead line of December 21st in mind?
Posted by: Todd | September 28, 2012 at 07:44 PM
Never mind, I get it…satire! You had me goin’ there Observer.
Posted by: Todd | September 28, 2012 at 07:48 PM
I don't. Satire or not, what's Dec 21 got to with it? Yeah, winter solstice or does this have something to do with the resurrection? As far as I know, I'm not going to die on December 21, am I?
BTW, if that is the plan, I'm asking for a stay of execution til my birthday on December 31.
Posted by: T-S | September 28, 2012 at 07:57 PM
T-S, that was derogatory statements towards other bloggers on this website. Like name calling. Something you just can't seem do.
Posted by: Hussein for Obama | September 28, 2012 at 08:06 PM
T-S,
It’s a reference to a conspiracy; Observer was alluding to the conspiracy suggesting the conspiratorial types here need to make haste.
Posted by: Todd | September 28, 2012 at 08:21 PM
As far as Maddude, like I said, I know it sounds derogatory, but I don't mean it to be. It's meant to show others I can be playful by coming up with nicknames for my Progressive brothers and sisters as I can for the Neo-cons of the right like El-Cystbo.
Posted by: Hussein for Obama | September 28, 2012 at 08:22 PM
yes, the T-S default position when she gets in a jam(someone beating aher in an argument with just good reasoning and the facts) is to run to the insults and namecalling. It's very similar to the guy in a street fight who finds himself losing and brings out an iron bar or a knife or a gun, or kicks the other guy in the crotch.
Posted by: Hedge Fund Hal | September 28, 2012 at 08:25 PM
After all the Johnsons you've plagued me with you whine now? What a phoney you are, Tommy.
Just trying to get your true position, Hussein. I used to have a name with that very label in it myself which is why the boys are mistaking you for me. But you've said several things which seem to cast dispersion on the left and it has made me question your true loyalties. I'm no hundred percenter myself when it comes to Obama or democrats. But I'm usually pretty clear about what I support and what I don't.
BTW, boys, Rasmussen shows Obama up by 1; Gallup shows him up by 6. My oh my, as Niehaus used to say. Looks like it might be a homerun for Obama, huh?
Posted by: T-S | September 28, 2012 at 09:22 PM
BTW, Hussein, you're a little new and perhaps a little naive so perhaps you ought not try to referee the blog. We have a crew of referees who know the players and do a pretty good job of it without help. :)
Posted by: T-S | September 28, 2012 at 09:30 PM
"Gallup shows him up by 6"
i have a feeling we won't be hearing from the "polls are skewed crowd". next conspiracy!!!
Posted by: nameless | September 29, 2012 at 08:00 AM
I know who you are T-S. Your writing is distinct just as Hal's and chucks is. Must admit I haven't seen Puts, maybe he is over on SoundPolitics or HorsesAss doing his word play. Speaking of refs, where is Sparky. And who is Black Rhino, some word skills there.
We were two peas in a pod back in the day of the debates on here about the wars, Katrina, global warming, the governor races, conspiracys, even in defense of Randi. My position has been steady, I lean left, more than you as I am not afraid to show and recognize the closeness of my leanings to socialism. With Obama I've come out of the closet. But it looks like you are having remorse over your recent election votes. None whatsoever here. I voted for Obama, not against Bush.
Posted by: Hussein for Obama | September 29, 2012 at 08:44 AM
Oh two more things, it was sad to hear Michaels beloved Stepanie has passed away and this capcha sucks.
Posted by: Hussein for Obama | September 29, 2012 at 08:45 AM
Gallup uses registered voters. They are the best of the rest ,but Rasmussen was the most accurate of all the polls from 2008 and the poll she cited has Romney down by one. You people are just being silly, hanging your hats on polls, with this level of smugness, in late September, even taking this year's unquestionably bogus sampling methodology out of the equation. But I guess you can feel wonderful about your 6 point lead knowing that incumbent Jimmy Carter had a similar or greater lead this time in 1980 and went on to of course just thrash Reagan in the 1980 election and serve out four more year. Remember the wonderful Jimmy Carter Presidency of the early eighties? No, neither do I. Many more examples of course of incumbents' leads somehow disappearing as the election closed in, sometimes only days before. The one number that you should take seriously is the 50% Gallup mid-Sepember benchmark for incumbent Presidents, because its a number that is unbroken in Gallup polling history, as a prerequisite for victory in November. Your guy didn't make it. It kind of makes sense doesn't it , that you should be able to garner at least 50% support of the voters after showing them your skills and abilities for four years. Game, set and match.
Posted by: Hedge Fund Hal | September 29, 2012 at 09:20 AM
There's a difference between being down by one and being up by one? Chris Matthews had a good laugh over your misunderstanding of polling and uh the walrus
Then you took my name, Hussein? No, you aren't closer to socialism if you are more Obama than me. I'm more Jill Stein these days. Think about it.
I thought you sounded like you were parodying the left. Now I think you may be trying to parody a past me. Which could explain the confusion on the part of KS and T-H-D. Whichever, you don't sound authentic.
You do remind me of someone who began posting here a short-time before the blog went bust but he was no like-minded friend to me. In fact, he was just looking for attention and people gave him short shrift after a while. Was that you?
Posted by: T-S | September 29, 2012 at 10:07 AM
The difference between myself and an ideologue like T-S is that i will actually listen to that gasbag Mathews from time to time, whereas i'm certain that T-S never took the time to actually read "Why the polls undercount the Romney vote" on dickmorris.com. She horselaughs him off as a "toesucker" ignoring the fact that people often have weird fetishes or strangeness in their personal lives that are completely commpartmentalized and have no bearing whatsoever on their competency or accuracy on the job, or in their careers. I notice this is common among the libbers, this kind of irrelevant personal cheapshotting, used to discredit his or her political views, crtiques of polls, etc. O'Reilly played a clip of Conan O'brien responding to a clip Conan had just played of a segment of The View. In the segment, you see and hear Elisabeht Hasselbeck asking a very well-spoken, polie and cogent question of Obama and Michelle to the effect of how can they say Romney will fail the middle class when it can be argued that they have already failed the middle class. Speaking truth to power. O'brien, cut off the clip without even showing Obama's response and simply started making fun of Hasselhbeck the person, not her question, which he couldn't touch because it was great. He broke out into screams of derision toward her, basically saying she had no right to question First Dude and Michelle, because she only became famous after appearing on the tv show Survivor. This clip of O'brien laughing and snorting like a jackass, only reinforced my already healthy contempt and dislike for the guy, and confirmed my suspicions that politically hes a mindless kneejerk libber, just like Letterman.
Posted by: Hedge Fund Hal | September 29, 2012 at 11:01 AM
Conan's over-the-top ridiculing response to Elisabeth's question, T-S'es extreme, horselaughing dismissal of Dick Morris'es critique of the polling sampling methods, the recent "it's over" hysteria in the media, Blatherwatch libbers constantly quoting poll numbers in hteir posts.....these things have all kind of the same ring and feel to them...."methinks thou doth protest too much".... it really seems like overcompensation in an attempt to cover their basic insecurity and lack of belief at their cores that their guy Obama can really become re-elected.

Posted by: chuck | September 29, 2012 at 09:39 PM
No, not me. But I'll show you how more Progressive I am than you. In the day you would be all over the Bush boys about the deaths in Iraq. Well I see you are quiet on today's news. 2000 Americans dead in Afghanistan. As before, I always thought you were just a troll on the progressive movement, citing media matters. Well today I am more convinced you are nothi g but a hack and I'll have nothing more to do with you.
