Hedge Fund Hal

or i should say- if this was a court of law, T-S, you would be objected to for being argumentative- and the judge would sustain the objection.

T-S

always on the attack - never rational or reasonable. Can't answer a simple question, Hedgie?

BTW, didn't you know jurisprudence is based on the best arguments? Aw, TS, why expect anything intelligent from this guy? You can change your name but you can't change your nonsense.

BlackRhino

When you’re explaining, you’re losing Mittens.
Mitt Romney To Give Interviews To Major Networks

T-S

Rhino, what do you think about Condi for VP? Isn't she the one who PR'd the Iraq War (mushroom cloud Condi) for Bush?

Hedge Fund Hal

i answered your question. I don't know whether it was all or almost all. He gave away virtually all the money. Only his accountant knows if it was every single dollar. Whatever was left, if any, only matters to silly fools and knaves trying to create a straw argument, just for the sake of argueing. It clearly wasn't enough for any of his enemies to be able to dispute his selfmade man claims, because they didn't. So basically no one cares whether he had 500 dollars or 5000 dollars left from his old man. To quote another legal term- it's irrelevant. ...."based on the best arguments"....Don't you understand, if you argued before a judge that Romney falsely claimed at The debate to be selfmade, because he kept 5000 dollars out of a $800,000 inheritance, so he could buy a new car, the judge would tell you to sit down, and not in a friendly way. He would treat your " best argument" with total contempt, and rightly so. Case closed. Because, to quote Dr. Bill Wattenburg -, "argueing with you is like wiping your nose on a grindstone"- it's neverending. Halyard Pierce Throckmorton the Third (Hedge Fund Hal)

T-S

Source it. Otherwise, bla bla bla.

Cal Worthington and his dog Spot

The Condi thing is a diversion from the Bain thing. She has a skeleton in every GBW closet.

KS

Condi doesn't want it anyway. To her, VP isn't worth a bucket of warm sp(h)it.

Why would the misinformation stream media want to divert from 24-7 coverage of the bogus Bain bullpucky ?
Facts don't matter to them - right BR, T-S and like minded zen meisters ?

KS

Source it. Otherwise, bla bla bla.

Source your counterpoint back at Hedge Fund Hal.. If he sourced it, you wouldn't like the source, but... I usually don't care for your sources - basically because they lie by omission (the main tactic of the misinformation stream media). Fool us once - shame on you, try to fool us over and over again - shame on us only if we buy it :( Can you beat 4 pinocchios ?

T-S

Walt's still awaiting an answer, KS.

KS

Nice at changing the subject. Waiting to hear more from Hedge Fund Hal.

Why doesn't Walt speak up then ? He did not comment on this post. That is really your question no longer his.

Walt

I dont need an answer, really. I guess he thinks the Boston Globe is in the practice of reporting gossip.
I saw a guy on TV the other night ask a man on the street, who was holding an anti-Obama sign, to explain what right he had on Jan. 18, 2008 that he didn't have on July 10, 2012. As expected, he couldn't name a single one, but he "knew" there was something. i think he has the same kind of "feelings" that KS does.

BlackRhino

TS;

I have to agree with everyone else, it was a pretty tactless move by the Romney campaign. I’ve been looking at the winger blogs and they all see the moves by Romney hopelessly short.

Here’s a story about Portman and his possibilities for VP. Again, the story is in the comments. The people posting the comments seem to be, for the most part, conservatives. But very negative toward Romney’s decisions.

T-S

I love that observation that often the story is in the comments. I'm currently posting comments in response to an education story and the comments include so much more information than the story (accurate information and data) and you get the same "emotional nonsense" from those who disagree.

I've been tempted to post comments from other blogs on this blog many times. But, would be prudent. I'll check out your link.

T-S

"But, wouldn't be prudent." Sorry.

BlackRhino

Wing Nut Daily is doing its best to change the subject, but making a mess of it also. The people posting comments really seen through the trash, and the responses’ were priceless.
BLACKS SHOULD BE LIKE JEWS
Fox is also adding to the fun.
10 Pranks That Will Spice Up Your Relationship
The comments are truly funny. I sense there are more conscientious conservatives than we hear about most times.

Walt

KS you're confused. The distraction is the "leak" to Drudge, who posted a ginormous headline that Condi was in the running. Now WHO do you think would like everyone to stop talking about Bain--which they haven't done, by the way--?? The media loves every juicy drop of all of it.
Besides, Condi supports abortion rights.

T-S

I did catch that article a couple days ago but didn't give it much thought. Ohio is a must-have state electorally. I figured they could be talking strategies to get the votes as easily as VP.

Reading the comments: these guys sure are worried about the Constitution. At least they know to capitalize it even if they don't know what's in it.

The WND (WMD?) comments were interesting and some surprising.

I think the Obama team is doing it exactly right. The more damage done to Romney now will help when the big money ads start rolling in. We will be besieged. That's a worry. And that's how Brown used his limited money in California and it worked.

Puget Sound Blathers

Bain is the distraction from fast and furious and the economy. i'm just glad Pres Obama promised that unemployment would never go above 8 percent, otherwise we would be in big trouble...

but nice try, walt.

Puget Sound Blathers

In Politico, Pres Obama was made a comment about the responsibility that Gov Romney had for the actions of his subordinates, and said

"The president suggested Romney had ultimate responsibility over the company.

“As president of the United States, it’s pretty clear to me that I’m responsible for folks who are working in the federal government and you know, Harry Truman said the buck stops with you,” he said."

Great, looking for forward to seeing Pres Obama up on the Hill answering questions about Fast and Furious...Or at least, lift the claim of Executive Priv.

BlackRhino

I think this question is dripping with ironic dissonance.

Lemme get this straight - what the GOPer's on this board are saying is that we should believe Ed Rendell over Newt Gingrich and Rick Perry?

Posted by: Mike D | July 13, 2012 at 01:16 PM

It’s the type of question which the target audience will either disregard it or spin hopelessly in a bewildered vertigo swirl. Three thumbs up!!!

T-S

Instead of looking forward to it, write a letter to your congressperson and make it happen. No one's stopping you. And he hasn't said no that I've heard.

T-S

There's no dissonance in that question, PS. I think you don't get it. Reread it as a question and then think about it.

Sometimes you are in too much of a hurry to attack the poster.

KS

Not confused, Walt - just don't care about Condi running for VP because I knew that she is not. Bain was embarrassing for Owebama's campaign as factchecker called BS on them again. They'll keep up trying to use scortched earth on Mitt, but now the Romney campaign is responding forcefully. Time for Romney to start talking about fast and furious and point out how BO is deceiving his constituents when they find out how much more taxes the middle class will pay for the Healthcare Redistribution Taxes - 10 new ones for the middle class next year.

Owebama is full of dog squeeze - he has no accountability - a bonafide muslim and communist sympathizer. Instead of abiding by Truman's line - he lives by just the opposite - "The buck starts with me" and he is not a nice guy - he is a nasty piece of work and his campaign and previous shitstorm campaigns reflect his character well. Time to inflict more damage on an already seriously damaged president. This will be an all-out war and the gloves are off.

T-S

Uh-oh! I thought that was PS misunderstanding a poster again when it was me misunderstanding Rhino! I'm in trouble!

Hedge Fund Hal

Sorry we don't play your little pissant "source it" game. Hedge Fund Hal doesn't work for you ,T-S. Are you questioning that i was present in front of the TV earlier this year in the Repub primary debates, when Romney said he was a self-made man? haha i believe you would stoop so low as to accuse me of just making things like that up. You're a member of the Governor Howard Dean class of Dems, not the Bill Clinton class, who are still pretty much decent people. In September of 2011, Howard Dean implied with his public comments that Bush could just maybe have been behind 911, as the plot leader of a Government "inside job". Despicable. Clinton was the guy who yelled "how dare you" to and basically reamed out a group of hecklers when htey yelled some crap about " 911 inside job" around the same time frame. Two different men, two standards of honor and decency.

BlackRhino

No problem TS, I would love to witness the stunned look in their eyes when they read that statement.

KS

HF Hal - you have that correct about Howard Dean - he and Obama are two peas in a pod - they lie every time they open their pieholes. Barry has more polish at hapless bullshitting and reading from a teleprompter. Both of them do scorched earth politics. Clinton was the best campaigner - his surrogates also did scorched earth, like republicans burning black churches back in the late 90's - he was pissed about the impeachment thing at the time. Clinton does not like Obama and deep down hopes he loses, so Mrs. Clinton will have a better road to run on in 2016.

T-S

Hunk Hal:
You're the fly I have to swipe off my shoulder. You've been missing me, huh? As round and round the pot you go . . .

Rhino, I get the cognitive dissonance. I had to reread it a couple of times myself and had the same thought so jumped a little too quickly when it appeared "the target audience" had misunderstood it. I wish you and PS had different icons.

There are several really good Alternet(and other) columns (long ones) I'm reading:
Fifty Shades of Capitalism: Pain and Bondage in the American Workplace
The symbol of capitalism was lately a vampire. Enter the CEO with nipple clamps.

Southern values revived
How a brutal strain of conservative American aristocrats have come to rule America
This is Salon but was originally on Alternet.

Connecticut's Ribbon of Hardship

Out of Business
Measuring the Decline of American Entrepreneurship

"Our self-image notwithstanding, the number of new entrepreneurs and business owners has been dropping – as a percent of the working-age population – for more than a generation, declining by 53 percent between 1977 and 2010. The share of self-employed Americans, meanwhile, has been declining since 1991; by 2010 it had dropped by more than 20 percent."

These are long but pretty easy reads. There's such good analysis out there if you know where to look.

The "southern aristocrats" may have been the most fun if you like black comedy. The last one is New America Foundation. It documents the decline in small businesses. That's what makes America America. And continued decline is inevitable if we stay on the road the right wants to travel. It will be all Bain all the time.

Puget Sound Blathers

There's no dissonance in that question, PS. I think you don't get it. Reread it as a question and then think about it.

Sometimes you are in too much of a hurry to attack the poster.

looks like you're the one in too much of a hurry to attack attack attack.
try comprehending what is being written.
it'll make things better, all the way around.
and maybe it will help you keep a name for more than a few weeks...

T-S

One doesn't have to be in a hurry to attack, PS. It can be done slowly, at medium speed or in a hurry. I got it wrong. So sue me.

BlackRhino

It’s ok Putz, I don’t need your erstwhile aid.
Thanks anyway.

BlackRhino

Well, Mittens is responding to the questions…losing. Did his response on a Friday…trying to bury it. And he doubled down on his, I was out of Bain since 1999, story…while reporters are finding documents to the contrary. I’m guessing there will some Sunday revelations which will bleed into the Monday news cycle. It ain’t ending guys.

KS

T-S will try to tie the downfall from 1977 to 2010 on the Conservatives with the old trickle up economic red herring ((today its trickle down poverty).

I had a disagreement with Andrew (no longer posting here) in 2010 about
