As you sip your Margarita or Corona you might want to ponder the breaking news for this Open Thread weekend:
NEW YORK - A man who impersonated his dead mother as part of a real estate scam - using lipstick, manicured nails and even an oxygen tank at a meeting - was convicted of fraud on Thursday and faces up to 83 years in prison, prosecutors said.
Conversation overheard at a Vets office in Shoreline this weekend:
Three dogs, in crates, side-by-side in the back waiting room.
The Golden Retriever in the first crate asked the German Shepherd in the second crate why he was there.
The German Shepherd said, "My master was in the shower and I jumped up and turned on the radio to KIRO, the Dori Monson Show started blaring."
"What are they going to do to you?" asked the Golden Retriever.
The German Shepherd replied, "They're going to put me to sleep."
The Golden Retriever gasped. Then the German Shepherd asked the Golden Retriever, "Why are you here?"
The German Shepherd replied, "My master was also getting out of the shower, I jumped up and bumped the bathroom radio too, and the David Boze show started blaring."
"What are they going to do to you?" asked the Retriever.
The German Shepherd cried, "I, too, am going to be put to sleep."
Both dogs started wailing and then they looked at the third crate and asked the Pit Bull why he was there.
The Pit Bull replied, "My master had just stepped out of the shower. She's 26, blonde, in great shape. She bent over and I was really turned on so I jumped on her and started humping her like crazy!"
"Yikes," screamed the Retriever and German Shepherd and then the Retriever said, "So what are they going to do to you?"
The Pit Bull replied, "I'm having my nails clipped."

this goes to the point made by KS, per Bill Clinton. The book by Edward Klein:
“Barack Obama,” Bill Clinton said, according to book excerpts, “is an amateur.”
The withering criticism is incredible, given the fact that Bill Clinton is actively campaigning for Obama’s re-election.
But according to the book, Bill Clinton unloaded on Obama and pressed Hillary to run against her boss during a gathering in the ex-president’s home office in Chappaqua last August that included longtime friends, Klein said.
“The economy’s a mess, it’s dead flat. America has lost its Triple-A rating . . . You know better than Obama does,” Bill said.
Bill Clinton insisted he had “no relationship” with Obama and had been consulted more frequently by his presidential successor, George W. Bush.
Obama, Bill Clinton said, “doesn’t know how to be president” and is “incompetent.”

To further amplify PS's point - After the South Carolina debacle in Feb. 2008 where Obama played the race card on Clinton, Bill Clinton quoted to the press (re{the Obama campaign) - "This is the biggest fairy tale I have ever seen". His 2008 campaign was one of best orchestrated political campaigns ever witnessed, however behind the curtain, it was based primarily on lies, deception, smoke and mirrors and many registered Republicans took the bait and voted for him. Meanwhile, the radicals leftists in this administration continue to pull the levers to fundamental transform America - against the will of the majority of the American people. Members of this administration (past and present) idolize Mao, Hugo Chavez and are also fond of Castro and their dictatorial powers. Just reporting the facts - wish they weren't true, but this is what we have now.
Apparently, there is not a scintilla of difference between the credibility of Debbie Wasserman-Schultz, Nancy Pelosi or Barack Obama. I cannot trust anything these people say. Richard Nixon was not that different from the aforementioned, but at least he took it upon himself to resign as POTUS.

"Bill Clinton thought so little of President Obama — mocking him as an “amateur” — that he pressed his wife last summer to quit her job as secretary of state and challenge him in the primaries, a new book claims,
“The country needs you!” the former president told Hillary Clinton, urging her to run this year, according to accounts of the conversation included in Edward Klein’s new biography of Obama.
The title of Klein’s explosive, unauthorized bio of Obama, “The Amateur” (Regnery Publishing), was taken directly from Bill Clinton’s bombshell criticism of the president, the author said.

can't wait to read more. this is very rare for one former president to critique a sitting president. one hears nary a peep from the Bush folks. only jimmy carter would dare let loose a broadside.
but then it's jimmy carter, a mediocre president.

check this out....
" In his new book on Barack Obama titled The Amateur, Edward Klein caught up with Jeremiah Wright, Obama’s minister and friend for 20 years and pastor of Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago. The Hillary Clinton campaign nearly derailed Obama’s nomination by digging up Wright’s incendiary and controversial sermons at TUCC, including exhortations like, “God damn America!” and saying that 9/11 was nothing more than America’s chickens coming home to roost — among many other statements. Obama later proclaimed ignorance of Wright’s rants despite his long association with TUCC, and eventually renounced Wright and TUCC entirely when Wright wouldn’t keep his mouth shut.
In his on-the-record interview with Klein, Wright claims that an Obama ally offered him $150,000 to keep his mouth shut and stop preaching until after the election, in excerpts published by the New York Post today."

maybe the GOP could invite Rev Wright on a free 1 hour national tv for him to spread his special gospel to the folks nationwide.
now that would be must watch TV.

But he didn't keep his mouth shut, and it didn't make any difference. Most people didn't care and those who did would not have voted for Obama anyway. It's the same with the cover of Newsweek today "Obama, the First Gay President." Most people see that for what it is and it wont matter. Those who are shocked would not vote for him anyway.
It's a little like saying Lyndon Johnson was the First Black President because he signed the Civil Rights legislation.
I hope a new topic is posted soon. You have wrung out all the possible juice in this one.

I Heard on the radio this afternoon that Romney is beating Obama 46 to 43 percent, in a national poll. This filled me with the abundant. wonderful joy of our Lord. I hope the Fauxbama campaign keeps on in their dismissive, derisive "dog on top of the car" mode, as do most of the libbers on this blog, visavis Romney.

Who the hell moved Carter up to mediocre? Mediocre is Grover Cleveland or Martin Van Buren. Carter is either the worst or second to Oblamebush, depending on how it turns out these last eight months of his Presidency.

Any man who can build a personal fortune for himself that is in the quarter billion dollar level, without the help of a 30 million dollar( 100 million PLUS in 2012 $$$) inheritance a la Trump, or really much of an inheritance at all, as is the case with Romney (he gave whatever money he got away), is a force to be reckoned with. He is not a man to be taken as a trifler or a fool, and someone who will hand them another four years in the Oval Office by simply defaulting. This is the big mistake Lord Fauxbama and his toadies, with their arrogance, and smug sense of superiority, are making. I say keep it up. James Carville calls them delusional.

Carter as mediocre? You have a good point. Although i'll give him credit for revealing some of the CIA activities and the Panama Canal his Presidency was a failure.
You'd have to live in to think otherwise...

You were the victim of a TypePad glitch Puget Sound. The blog got a hiccup and had to be reset. That meant re-listing all the blocked phrases and words that were there before. When we pushed "save" your entire post was booted. We restored your post and left out the words that booted you. You're welcome.

she must have really ticked you guys off.

Morris, better to watch Faux News than a Fauxbama "droner" (speech). "When did this blog become rightwing?" What do you suggest Morris? Blocking all anti-Obama posts and censoring any stray "rightwing" phrases or sentences that appear in any paragraphs here? Folks, realize that Morris is just the typical Seattle intolerant liberal, who apparently would like to actually prevent you from expressing any differing viewpoints from theirs on here.

Welcome back Tommy. You can post anti-Obama opinions all you want, as long as you leave out the adhominems and racial comments. Move the conversation forward without the name calling.

No...Tommy008 is my nephew. He's actually named after me. He has bigger and better things to do right now , so he's turned over the blogging duties to me. We can't let the Seattle libbers run roughshod over the blog, especially with election rhetoric heating up, as the big event approaches. I schooled him, and he and I share almost the exact same opinions. I live on his property onthe back ens of Queen Anne Hill, in the guest house, but I have the run of the main house, including the use of the computer.

Several mornings ago I watched three hours of Joe Scarborough's Republican talk with four or five other rightwingers. I guess Joe forgot which cable news he was on. Message to MSNBC: I don't watch you to see Republicans - five white guys - influencing viewers to think conservative. I wonder if Fox News will return the favor?
