At least it is around here. Snow, hail, monsoons, wind--it's enough to send the most cheerful among us to the bottle of Xanax.
Not much on the radio waves: Ron and Don (KIRO FM M-F 3p-6p) think the father of the 3 year old who accidentally shot himself with his father's gun is lying about where he was when the shooting took place. Don is sure the father was actually in the mini-mart with the mother, instead of being a few feet away, pumping gas. The R&D show has pretty much been wall-to-wall coverage of the trio of tragedies to befall Puget Sound-area children in the last month.
Dori Monson (KIRO FM 97.3 M-F 12p-3p) had his usual classy fare today by talking about a woman who drinks her own urine. Whatever.
Obviously, this weather is beginning to take its toll. What have you been listening to?
This is an Open Thread. Rachelle
At night the conservative neighbors gather in the backyard next-door and complain, bitch, about one thing or another. They have some of their bagger meetings over a fire and beer. It’s funny to hear the real concerns and fear they have when they think no one is paying attention.

One of our concerns is this leftwing blog, Skipper. I'm the guy in the fedora and the Guns and Roses sweatshirt that was stoking the fire last night, with wood chips. We saw you peeping through that upstairs bathroom window at us, Johnson, although we kept it on the downlow, and you left the window none the wiser, after you'd had your fill. Good peeping last night, you bastard boy libber?

Yah Fizzy, complaining about Romney, belly aching about losing to a black man…again? Ohhh yes, you knew you were being over herd. Right!

It's not that March is the cruelst month, it's that the Seattle area weather is very detrimental to a human being's well being and takes such a psycological toll on one that their life longevity is many times shortened. And to think this weather pattern is predicted for the next twenty years. Not good.

Now that Don's a dad, he's all about kids.

Ron and Don are a guilty pleasure, I admit to enjoying their trivial topics. They remind me a little of Ryan and Ryan, from back in the day. Anyone remember those two?
Posted by: Mike Barer | March 16, 2012 at 01:41 PM
i remember when both ron and don were shock jocks. They had this author on, who was into wearing diapers and into diaper party;s. Oh were the days of fun talk radio..
it is time to bring back Tom lykis and his fun hot tub party...

Olberman is out at Current TV
At least that's what is being reported.
So Limbaugh reigns and Olby is released...

Politico cited to:
"Current TV has fired Keith Olbermann, citing a lack of “respect” and “collegiality” in its relationship with him, following months of open warfare between Olbermann and Current executives in the press.

Too damn funny, take away Bush and this fellow is just an empty -albeit angry- suit. He was canned at ESPN , at Fox, at MSNBC, and now Current.
Public Access, look out!

Olby promises 'Legal Action'
Doesn't he still have something going on with the good folks at MSNBC? Oh well, with Olby it's always good to have one lawsuit filed and one in the pipeline.
So little time, so many to litigate against LMAO
Posted by: Puget Sound Blathers on Olberman release | March 30, 2012 at 04:31 PM
oh, this just gets more delicious. turns out that Olby is upset at Mr Gore. Something about a lack of ethics. From the man who sold us carbon offsets. Imagine that....
"Olbermann released a statement.
I'd like to apologize to my viewers and my staff for the failure of Current TV.
Editorially, Countdown had never been better. But for more than a year I have been imploring Al Gore and Joel Hyatt to resolve our issues internally, while I've been not publicizing my complaints, and keeping the show alive for the sake of its loyal viewers and even more loyal staff. Nevertheless, Mr. Gore and Mr. Hyatt, instead of abiding by their promises and obligations and investing in a quality news program, finally thought it was more economical to try to get out of my contract.
It goes almost without saying that the claims against me implied in Current's statement are untrue and will be proved so in the legal actions I will be filing against them presently. To understand Mr. Hyatt's "values of respect, openness, collegiality and loyalty," I encourage you to read of a previous occasion Mr. Hyatt found himself in court for having unjustly fired an employee. That employee's name was Clarence B. Cain.
In due course, the truth of the ethics of Mr. Gore and Mr. Hyatt will come out. For now, it is important only to again acknowledge that joining them was a sincere and well-intentioned gesture on my part, but in retrospect a foolish one. That lack of judgment is mine and mine alone, and I apologize again for it."

PS, your efforts to appear moderate and above it all eventually come crashing down around you. One can tell by the number of LMAOs you post.
Posted by: Walt | March 30, 2012 at 05:31 PM
LMAO
one can be moderate, but sometimes you just have to laugh.
it ends up that Olby gets canned by Al Gore. Olby claims that Al Gore has ethical issues.
somehow, at the end of the day no doubt it will be Bush's fault.
Posted by: Puget Sound Blathers on Olberman release | March 30, 2012 at 05:59 PM
And Spitzer is in. Read it on Huffpo early this AM.
"Olby claims..." More hearsay? Wait until the facts are in? Didn't I hear someone say?
Posted by: Truth-seeker | March 30, 2012 at 09:29 PM
Stop, Olby and Al Gore are both correct with their statements about each other- even stopped clocks are correct twice per day.
Spitzer may be an improvement, but he is a CNN reject - for what its worth. Another sign that the wheels are coming off of the liberal progressive express.

poor truth seeker, pretty clear that it is just what 'olby claims.' that's the best part, replaced by eliot spitzer!
how long before Olby is reduced to podcasts? he's managed to run through all the networks and all the cable channels. it will be internet radio that he makes his mark.
ks, yep between al gore and keith olberman it will be tough to pick out the 'truth teller' , maybe we could have 'truth seeker' help us on our journey.
for now, i am willing to hear both sides explain why the other is a liar.
