Garden guru, hunka-hunka Ciscoe Morris' Sunday show on KIROFM has been unceremoniously composted without notice to listeners?!
He's still on Saturdays from 10a-12p, but the longest-runningest radio show in town has been cut to one day only and the time given to a warmed-over episode of the day before's Tom Douglas and Thierry Rotoraux's new Seattle Kitchen (KIROFM Saturdays, 8-9a; Sundays 10-11a).
Bonneville suits, it is said, caught holy hell from Dori Monson whose quirky show, Ossimodio (Saturdays 2-3p; Sundays 4-5p) had been shoved aside in the original weekend programming plans for Douglas. Apparently Ciscoe lost the fight.
Geeze, why don't we waterboard Ed Hume while we're at it

now my curiosity is u- I really have to hear this new weekend show Monson has. I can imagins the scene in the KIROfm offices when KIRO's little tinpot dictator went into his highpitched, keening tirade against station suits. Dont wory, Dori, The Suits won't say it to your face, but they still call you "that little prick" to their wives at the dinner table, after the kids have left.

i just realized what has happened here, to the full extent. Apparently Monson won back his Saturday slot for his stupid new weekend show, after initially losing it to t and t. yes, im confident in calling it stupid without having heard it. That means KIRO had to cut an hour of aomeone else's Sat. show to make things fit. Not being satisfied with that, this disgusting, selfish, greedy little prick, who already works five days a week, three hours a day, all year around, and several hours on Sundays for several monyhs of the year, berated station suits, in a highpitched keening voice, to force the great Ciscoe Morris out of his Sunday slot, to make way for Monson's hour of dreck. Absolutley reprehensible and the actions of an evil, repulsive scoundrel. To show the differnec between Monson and Douglas, and the kind of man each is, i wouldnt be surprised at all if Douglas voluntarily insisted that his repeat show on Sunday be cancelled, so that Ciscoe be put back on Sundays.

Anyone in Monson's position of good fortune with the station in terms of airtime and lucrative personal commercial voiceover contracts, who had a sense of grace and decency, after winning back the Saturday airing of their new show, would gladly retreat from their Sunday hour to make way for T and T, with no change to Ciscoes hours. It only is fair because the repeat hour of T and T, airing on Sundays, only replaces the second hour of the two weekend hours of T and T which should never have been cancelled and taken away in the first place, in 2010.

Of course the big irony is that people liek Monson are always the ones who most regularly and self-righteously attend their bornagain "Christian" churches every Sunday. It reminds me of the hardcore church-attending bornagain "Christian" Repug former neighbor and supposed friend who refused to lend me five dollars one weekend when i was out of cash, not because he didn't have the money, but because he just "didn't do that type of thing". pathetic "Christian" frauds.

And Monson wonders regularly onair why management treats his show with open comtempt and disdain. Wow, what a big mystery.

Mike D - Why do you want to "torture" Ed Hume, but at the same time you probably don't want terrorists who endanger the lives of others to be waterboarded ?
Even though I get that it was said in jest, it does illuminate the phoniness of this issue as a political football that the liberal progressives want to run with to try and score points. Much like the environmental-fascist lobby who are out to excoriate humans and the economy in the name of control of people fueled by $$ from leftwing organizations. I like shades of grey, but this seems all too black and white.

Terrible programming decision, running a food program right after a voice that makes so many people want to puke.

Bin Laden. in Hell as we speak, is right now listening to an endless loop of Dori Monson doing his Therabreath commercial.

That is the dumbest question ever. I was joking about Hume. Torture is immoral and illegal.

Isn't Dori's thing just regurgitated material from his weekday show? Is this really better than having Cisco on with new material?

Doris's so-called saturday show is just re-runs they made Jake put together. Nothing new, here.

oh my God...... i had assumed that this Ossimadio deal must be some sort of Monson's TBTL, his new concept show that he was zealously guarding, hence his tirade in the highpitched near-hysterical voice to station suits berating them to putit back in the lineup both days. Tom and Thierry had been very recently brought back in on weekends, righting a wrong that should never have happended. At that point Monson should have accepted that there was not room anymore for vanity programming like the repeat , reheated clips of Monsons weekday broadcasts that is Ossimadio, at the very least not on Sunday. The suits were generous enough to give him back his Saturday Ossimadio, hoping this would mollify their station's ego-tripping problem child . But no, Monson forced them to remove the high value , live and local Sunday hour of the great Ciscoe Morris, to be replaced by his redundant, personal vanity programming. Shame on you Monson. Your selfishness and pettiness is truly disgusting.

Monson is currently shmoozing with his onair toadies. Jake and Jessica, indulging his narcissism, once again thinking h'es just really too darn funny to be allowed on the radio , as he makes his lameass jokes. As Monson chortles and titters away, Ciscoe Morris is somewhere in the city feeling depressed at the thought of being back to a saturdays only radio host again, come the weekend. Way to go Dori. i hope you're proud of youeself you shameful little "man". You're a selfish little twerp Dori. Twerp.
