Gleeky Republican scum Sean Hannity (KTTH m-f, 4-7p) last night passed along Donald Trump's accusitive prediction that President Obama would start a war with Iran to wag-the-dog just in time to help him win the 2012 election. (Ironically, this crowd usually bashes the President because he HASN'T started a war with Iran).
“I say he starts a war with Iran before the election which will make it very hard for the Republican to win,” Donald Trump predicted (again) on Hannity’s radio show yesterday morning. “I think it’s going to happen.” On Fox News Channel, Hannity put the question to his guests:
HANNITY: Do you believe he would do that?
MCGLOWAN: This man would do anything. He’s Machiavellian. He would do anything to win re-election.
HANNITY: Do you agree with that, Senator?
D’AMATO: Absolutely. [...] I said I wouldn’t put it past him. He is a total political animal.
MCGLOWAN: Animal!
D’AMATO: And he would use that if he thought it would make a difference to get him elected.
HANNITY: …If you were right and Trump were right and Angela were right it would be the single biggest abuse of power in American history that I can think of.
Why does anyone care what Donald Trump thinks? His political opinions have no more credibility than those of, say, Kim Kardashian, Ichiro Suzuki, or anyone else who's a celebrity for non-political reasons.

it would be the single biggest abuse of power in American history that I can think of.
Apparently Mr. Hannity still cannot think about he President taking us to war against Iraq on false pretenses, or starting a torture chamber in Cuba, or a whole lot of abuses of presidential power he smiled and nodded at because the people who pay his salary were in favor of them.

Did the news about the USS Kidd coming to the rescue of an Iranian fishing boat under attack by pirates break during their show? Just a week ago, the Kidd was part of a task force the Iranians were saying should not be in the Persian Gulf.

(By the way, the above link is from a San Diego-area TV Station)
I was thinking how ironic this was. The current USS KIDD is a top of the line Arleigh Burke-class DDG. It is the third US Navy Destroyer to be named in honor of Rear Admiral Isaac Kidd, the commander of Battleship Division 1 at Pearl Harbor. He was killed in action, when his flagship, was hit by Japanese aircraft. His flagship? USS Arizona. There have been three ships named after him, the first one was a WWII Fletcher-class Destroyer, the second one was a special variant of the Spruance-class DD, but built originally for a foreign nation that they could not be delivered to because the government was toppled? The original buyer? The Shah of Iran.
