I keep my personal life on the down-low here at Blatherwatch. I piss people off more than occasionally, and have always figured my family doesn't deserve to suffer the consequences of my tasteless, infuriating, and so often senseless blathering.
But there's a new-ish situation that's interrupting the flow of truth, goodness and senseless blather from BlatherWatch and it deserves some explanation. We've made and maintained some relationships in the last 7 years with people who deserve to know why the blathering here at BW may be even further interrupted.
My intimate partner, known here as The World's Tiniest Architect (WTA) is seriously ill with metastatic cancer. She was diagnosed in 2008, and has been bearing down through cancer's rough terrain with consciousness and intention, and the recquisite poisons and death rays in modern medicine's old kit bag.
We may be at the end of what's effective to alter the cancer's steadfast march.
Or maybe not.
Regardless, I've needed to give her as close to my full attention as I can possibly give, and consequently, Blatherwatch has suffered (as has our cats, Bird Dog, Billy Ruben and Butterdish).
So things are going to be a little spotty for awhile longer. Please keep sending your tips, stories or videos- especially ones that might easily be posted. Our tip line is still accepting dirty laundry, and vicious rumors, and well as the usual warm greetings and Cease & Desist orders.
Or... you could send get-wells and loves to WTA: her real name is Stephanie.
(BlatherWatch has its people- a lot of people. There are literally dozens scattered thoughout the world. You know who you are and though we may have had robust disagreements, your loyalty, fealty and realty are deeply appreciated. You have made me a very wealthy man and given me a reason for living).
My thoughts are with you.

A friend of mine tried it and it gave him an extra a year. He had to go to Spokane because the treatment wasn't available in Seattle. That was a year ago.

My best thoughts to you and Stephanie. Blatherwatch has been everything a blog should be, funny, on point, and always worth reading. It is just a shame that talk radio cannot rise to this level. Know that all your readers are wishing you the best.

You're a good man Michael. It's hard to be the care giver in these situations. Have to be strong for your loved one...but the pain, the hurt, the fear...it can be overwhelming at times. I hope you have someone you can lean on and I wish the best to Stephanie. Prayers for you both for good health, peace and strength during these troubled times.
