you could write the exact same article about Obama and 'Black Liberation Theology,' Farrakhan, etc. In fact, you could do it raised to the power of 10, since Ron Paul did not sit in a Christian Identity church for 17 years and then claim not to have understood what it was about.

BW will never write that article of course. BW will never change, smearing a good man in Ron Paul. And I am not a Paul voter due to his FP positions.

Smear on BW, smear on. Nobody's paying attention any more.

Apparently you are, though! Merry Christmas, whatever your real name is!

Apparently Paul's old newsletters talked about "monkey men" and "Jewboys" among other things. What else would he claim but "plausible denial" as they say in the CIA. Except in this case it's not very plausible. Do you really expect him to come out and say thst blacks are monkey men and that he hates Jews? "I didn't know anything about it" is the last refuge of scoundrels.

I say all the candidates should be contestants...This is GREAT!!

The Embargo is off.
I'm back!
The Fixed News crowd suffer from low information access.
I get my news from a variety of reliable moderate sources such as NPR, MSNBC, or The Nation magazine.
If I want a liberal point of view I will check out Pacifica Radio.

Puget Sound Blathers

with all due respect, i hope you understand that things have been fairly calm. with that said, welcome back and best wishes for 2012.

Calm ? welcome back the antithesis of calm. How goes the Occupy movement ?

Not all of us want a liberal point of view. I'll leave it at that. You are being very charitable, PSB. I don't see that lasting for more than one post. LOL.

As I said earlier, Ron Paul attracts extremists from the left and right - an equal opportunity candidate. His foreign policy is either deeply misunderstood or deeply disturbing - I'll go with the later.

Gary Johnson beat Paul to the punch, though - declaring himself a Libertarian candidate for Prez. One news analysis predicts that he'll take some "gay" votes away from Mr. Obomba.

the best part is the illustrative nature of her circular logic. she calls fox news 'fixed news' and is making the point that those viewers don't get opinions other than conservative ones. then she cites her 'sources' which are all liberal.
too damn funny.
she is the gift that keeps on giving.
ron paul is bad news. while some of his positions are very tempting, others are batshit scary as blam points out.
he is consistent, i'll give him that.

The thing is that in Iowa, the Dems can have a good time with some good old fashion political mischief by crossing party lines and voting for Ron Paul.

As Dick Morris says about Ron Paul in the DC.

"Morris, in an appearance on “The O’Reilly Factor” on Wednesday, was asked by fill-in host Eric Bolling what he made of Paul’s rise. Morris’ reaction was one of extreme disappointment and caution.

“I think it’s horrible,” Morris replied. “I think that he is absolutely the most liberal, radical, left-wing person to run for president in the United States in the last 50 years. Nobody else wants to dismantle the military, including Obama, but he does. Even Obama doesn’t want to repeal the Patriot Act. But he does. Even Obama doesn’t say that we caused 9/11 and brought it on ourselves. But Ron Paul does. Even Obama doesn’t want to legalize heroin and cocaine, but Ron Paul does. This guy is no conservative. This guy is an ultra, ultra-left-wing radical.”

Morris said a vote for Paul is the same as a vote for incumbent President Barack Obama because Paul could not win as the nominee.

“I pray that he doesn’t,” Morris said. “I pray the voters of Iowa recover their senses. Anybody that votes for Ron Paul might as well vote for Obama. There is nobody with any ounce of political sense that believes Ron Paul can defeat Barack Obama.”

Ron Paul, Liberal extremist. Only from Dick Morris would you get that.
