Mike Barer

That would make a great April Fool's Day joke if it wasn't true.

sparky

Must see TV!!

fluffy nuggets

Donald Trump is my favorite Republican.

KS

Next, I'd like to see Trump moderate one of the debates between the GOP candidate and Obama. Of course, Mr. Obama would probably try to weasel out of it. That would counter the typical network swill with a Tom Brokaw or Jim Lehrer moderated crap sandwich.

If it were to happen, that would really be must see TV !!

Mysterion

The GOP agreed to this? Really? I bet the popcorn will be flowing over at the White House for this one.

KS

The latest on this proposed debate;

"... they may have trouble convincing candidates to show up.
Former Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman is the first to send his regrets.

"We look forward to watching Mitt Romney and Newt Gingrich suck up to Trump with a big bowl of popcorn," Huntsman spokesman Tim Miller told Yahoo News.

The debate organizers sent out debate notices to the presidential campaigns today, but they have not yet heard back about who will show, Newsmax Social Media Director Brett Sandala confirmed.

"We've gotten a few positive responses but we're not doing any release on that until next week," Sandala said.

Trump will moderate the debate on his own, Sandala said, and will cover several topics.
"It's going to be a general debate," he told Yahoo News. "It's not necessarily focused on a specific issue."

KS

Now we know that there will be one less participant. Herman Cain has suspended his campaign. Think his finances were starting to dry up - probably a good move for all involved, but he brought some excitement to the race and wasn't referring to the allegations by the fleet of divas.

Until I see any credible evidence, I'd say he has been smeared by the conglomerate media. None of these bimbos have any smoking gun evidence. Speaking of bimbos and publicity whores, just waiting for Kim Kardashian to weigh in with her story to get on the Cain gravy train, since she is the #1 publicity whore even if her integrity is under the microscope.

Tommy008

Kardashian and her family were slammed by none other than James Bond 007 (Damiel Craig) who said they were being given millions for acting liek idiots.007 telling you to get some business is a bad omen fo rthis brood of bimbos. She's alerady lost first place in the Twiiter war to Bieber. i wonder what the ratings were for the opening episode of their new season of their New York show.

Puget Sound Blathers

Even if Cain is innocent of all of it, the fact is that he isn't managing this crisis very well. It doesn't bode well for him to manage more complex situations as President.
Crisis management doesn't seem to be his strong suit. I think he needs to be vetted and have these issues resolved.

Newt or Romney. I predict four more years of Obama.

The interesting thing will be the House and Senate.

Tommy008

im startign to believe Newt could beat Obama. Hes already saying he is going to be the nominee. lol.Maybe we need someone withhis brash "confidence" (arrogance?) to beat the Chicago thug machine.

Tommy008

Romney is starting to look like the proverbial "deer in the headlights". lol

Tommy008

Seeing OBAMA BESTED IN A DEBATE or series of debates where he cant condescend to his opponent because his opponent has a higher level of ecucation and acchievemet Than him (a pHd. AND SEVERAL MORE BOOKS THAN him) would be sweet inddeed.

KS

You had better hope that you are wrong as I do, or we are collectively screwed - here comes Lord of the Flies to this country/ a disturbing scenario. Am considering moving to New Zealand or even Canada if he wins again.

Those who voted for him to prove they weren't racist are lined up to vote against him to prove they aren't stupid and any GOP candidate would be better and don't see Hillary running either. Agree with T008's last post.

KS

What will be the telling factor is the number of low information voters have their votes counted this time. Maybe there should be signs all over that say -
Vote at your own peril - something to make them realize that they deserve the government they vote for, and one of the choices is for a cradle to grave welfare state, by voting Democrat for POTUS.

ExPatBrit

"You had better hope that you are wrong as I do, or we are collectively screwed - here comes Lord of the Flies to this country/ a disturbing scenario. Am considering moving to New Zealand or even Canada if he wins again."

Please don't do that, those countries are clearly much more socialist than the USA. And with their socialized medicine you would probably be in dire distress within hours if not minutes of arrival. People actually die there!

Have you considered timeshares in Somalia.Low taxes !!!!!!!

KS

You must be crazy and why are you, the lover of statism complaining ? It's just what you want. You neglected to acknowledge that the economy in both Canada and NZ are better than here and health care there is cheaper and will bccome even cheaper when Obamacare begins.

The US has made great strides in the last 3 years and is fast catching up to Canada and NZ and will likely surpass them if O-bummer is reelected, even if the GOP controls Congress because of Obamacare and the stranglehold on regulations which will have to be preyed from the cold dead hands of Barack the marxist sympathizer, unless his vetoes can be overridden. Let me know how you like Somalia.

ExPatBrit

"Lover of statism", OK sorry forgot that's your favorite answer to everything.

So your plan is :
Move to Canada or New Zealand because the US is becoming more socialist than either of those two places and will eventually surpass them .

Oh and "OBAMACARE!!!!"

Definitely the Gingrich Demographic, throw out lots of disparate ideas that when you think about it, make fvck-all sense.

Before you abandon us to our fate we have an overdue invoice for two wars, just leave any future social security benefit checks at the departure gate. You can send the rest later.

KS

EPB - Why are you are obfuscating and tap dancing around the real issues ? You talk about desperate ideas when nothing you have said makes any points or sense, just standard DNC talking points. LMAO ! Pot meet kettle. You conveniently avoid addressing Obamacare because it is a loser for you and why the Democrats will lose control of the Senate in 2012.

The wars were continued by BHO and the spending increased - Bush didn't do that, but at least he is withdrawing from Iraq primarily because of the election coming up. Dodd-Frank is also killing small businesses and needs to be repealed.

ExPatBrit

KS, you didn't mention statism this time, please try to be consistent.

I didn't address those things, because that would be changing the subject which is your imminent departure to foreign shores.

Like many others I wanted a Medicare buy in or a public option.

My position is that Obamacare SUCKS! I don't defend it at all. Why do think I would?

If the republican had a better plan then I would probably vote for that candidate. All I am hearing is repeal, which is just kicking a real problem down the road.

And if Obamacare is a loser what about Ryan's plan to replace medicare with a discount voucher (think coupon), you really think everyone's gonna go for that.

That one is DOA.

KS

Statism is another word for big government advocate or cradle to grave dependency on Government. Low information voters are the only pathway for Obama to get a second term. If you really feel the way you say you do, then you should not be voting for either Presidential candidate from the two parties. There will be a few minor party candidates you can choose from.

Actually, the Republicans have better plans (Ryan's is actually better than Obamacare, but the media doesn't care about the truth and doesn't even bother to explain it adequately) and there are other plans out there that are better, but the Democrats and Obama keep lieing by saying the other side has no plans. Bullcrap - the House voted on them and defeated them all when Nazi Pelosi was the speaker. Repealing it piece by piece would be a step in the right direction. A new president granting waivers to all 50 states so they can come with their own plan will return healthcare to the marketplace where it belongs in a free market economy.

westwa

Tommy008.....if you're going to continue to bash Obama please take a class in writing and throw in a typing class, also. WOW!

KS

Even though Newt may be the smartest guy in the room does not make him the best choice of the GOP. Consider that he would probably lose the women vote to whoever- i may be wrong in 6 months, but thats the way it looks now. Romney appears to run the strongest still, as has been the case since the debates began.

KS

I will be voting for the lesser of two weevils.

Tommy008

Thanks for the advice, wetwa. Now you know what you can do with it. I know the rules of writing, grammar and spelling- just haven't been following/correcting to them on this blog. Just in- Trump appears outside on NYC sidewalk with Newt, after a closed door meeting with him. I don't get the comment Newt made about "this is a nation that elected a peanut farmer, movie actor, etc". There seems to be no context for it. They were discussing the debate that Trump will be moderating. Was Newt still thinking about his conversation with Trump, where he promised him the VP spot on his ticket? Right before the peanut farmer comment he had called Trump a great showman and a great businessman as well. Seems to me like he was saying, we've alected these oddballs before, why not elect a businessman to the VP spot? Weird. Gingrich/Trump would be a strong ticket.

Johnny Sombrerro

Ha ha I love the GOP comedy show

KS

It beats the snot out of the Democrat tragedy in the White House for the last 3 years, where the joke is on you.

Johnny Sombrerro

Gawd, what a fucking kill-joy you must be at an Amway Party.

KS

Gawd, What a low-information voter you are !!!

Johnny Sombrerro

ha, George Will and Rove have already said this debate is hijacking the party, surely this will be their Waterloo.

KS

Hope that Jon Huntsman will get a bump from not participating. Good for him !

Coiler

Our president will be reelected. Cain, Perry, Newt and Trump have snatched defeat from the jaws of victory

KS

Long live the politburo, and the hammer and sickle - right Coils ?

Tommy008

google Rove: Why Obama is likley to lose in 2012 " from the Wall Street Journal, June 22, 2012........I'm starting to believe htat Romney is actually the weaker candidate among the two candidates, Mitt and Newt, for the General Election race.........Gingrich has a bit of swagger, humor and hipness.....Romney sits down at a KF, trims all the skin off the pieces of chicken with a knife and fork and eats them without any skin.....after Obama , will America ever go back to a President as square as Mormon Mitt? Hard to imagine it.

Tommy008

sorry that's June 22, 2011, ....I'm not a clairvoyant.

Marv

"swagger, humor and hipness..."

Sounds like George Bush.
