Unlike her SNL counterparts, Tina Fey can now add NPR radio host to her résumé, for real.
Fey will narrate two hour-long specials for NPR's The Hidden World of Girls, a program produced by Peabody Award winners, The Kitchen Sisters. The program is regularly aired on NPR's Morning Edition and All Things Considered.
The series and two hour-long specials highlight stories from women all around the world. According to the producers' website, The Hidden World of Girls aims to report "stories of coming of age, rituals and rites of passage, secret identities—of women who crossed a line, blazed a trail, changed the tide." Producers opened phone lines and asked listeners from around the globe to call in and "help them in their quest" to find stories of the "extraordinary and everyday."
Fey's narrated specials grew out of these phone calls and will premiere on November 10, according to WNYC.
