UPDATE: Geov Parrish, local politico says.,
This from Radio-Info.com ... if you care, (we don't)
Danny Bonaduce's next morning gig for CBS: classic rock KZOK, Seattle
Bonaduce recently finished a run at Philadelphia's rock WYSP (94.1), as it became a simulcast of sports WIP (610). Now the Seattle-Board speculation here at Radio-Info.com turns into a confirmation from CBS Radio: Bonaduce will take over mornings at KZOK (102.5) starting November 14. His airshift? 5:45am to 9am. Coming to Seattle along with Danny is two-year co-host Sarah, as news director.
Can I go die now?

Why does every (music) station need to have a morning zoo?

Thanks for the heads-up about the bonaduce train wreck coming to the Seattle airwaves. I deleted KZOK from all my radio's and electronic devices.

If this was 1998 this would be so totally cool.

Bla'M, I thought you'd listen so we wouldn't have to. :)

Maybe KPTK is trying to save a time slot for more sports broadcasts such as curling.
It's sad when the only local programming on KPTK occurs Saturday morning on "Crash Talk".

Oh, and Bonaduce on KZOK? Um, no thank you.

As to Parrish's comment...Find a way to get KPTK's ratings up to KZOK levels and you'll see CBS spend some coin on the station. But don't hold your breath waiting for that to happen.

No matter how you feel about Danny Bonaduce, this is a big step for the Seattle Market.
PS Congrats on Herman Cain harrassment suit, since I read about it here, it's been all across the news spectrum.

DOH, DUH:
"Funny how CBS can shell out big bucks for a name like Bonaduce on KZOK, but [CBS-owned liberal talk] KPTK can't get more than a few minutes of Lee Callahan's time each day..."

I would like to hear his show before I pass judgement, but this will be the first nationally known hire for a Seattle station in years.

Danny was part of the crew on an Adam Carolla's radio show up until 2008, they were cutting edge. Since then Carolla has been successful on internet radio. I know that Bonaduce is poitically incorrect and a wild man, so he may not entrust the PC sensibilities of a good chunk of the Seattle Market.
He'll also be competing against Bob Rivers on KJR-FM, which has a fairly loyal following.

It could be the "second coming" of Tom Leykis.

Will he be doing this from his home? I dont see him liking seattle too much.
Posted by: sparky | November 01, 2011 at 08:00 PM
I would imagine he will live in Mercer Island or Bellevue. Maybe he will do the "Frasier" thing and live on Queen Anne behind the Space Needle.

Maybe...I bet he has his own studio like a lot of talkers/radio guys do, and lets the locals handle the news and traffic and commercials. No need to step outside his air conditioned home in Bel Air.

Geeze, I like the guy and all, but he is a b actor at best, seen regularly with Tanya Harding and other such talent on 20 Dumbest type stuff on what used to be Court TV. But he is funny and may bring something a little more interesting to the local radio.
Hope so.

Yet again, commenters complaining that a radio station they don't listen to is going to hire a host they would never have heard in the first place. After all, you're the only real people. The rest of us are imaginary. We don't exist when you're not looking.

I Listen to KZOK sometimes later in the day, but will stick with Bob Rivers on KJR for my mornings.

I met Danny on 1st Ave yesterday, he was very gracious and was happy to be in Seattle. Looking forward to his morning drive slot on KZOK!

Bonaduce beats liberal talk. That's cute.

DDanny will indeed offend the propieties of our lrgion of uptight, male-hating feminists as well as the prissy, prudish sensibilities of our city's cockless male fools riding around the streets in spandex tights and Italian racing shirts. that's why this is such great news. Consider him a warmup act for Tom Leykis, who starts his new radio show the first week of April 2012.

Dear Danny hay I really have enjoyed listening to you and Sara.Welcome to Seattle, I start my morning with you and you just blow me away with your honesty and the comedy. Ithink this world needs more of you, I hope that your tests(colonoscopy) prove that you are in good health, and God Bless you and your sweet wife. Always Pat W.

I listen to the radio in the morning with my daughter. The show needs to be more 1980's PG; however, I will dismiss that as of today. Now that I know the Mr Bonaduce is in favor of a "Flat Rate Federal Tax". When the day comes that I and Bill EVERYONE pays 10% of their income as a tax...and gets NO REFUND, I will sleep better at night. If that doesn't make a difference in 10 years nothing ever will. Regan had our best "interests" in mind when he failed to make this a law.
