Peter Weissbach, formerly of KVI, and KTTH (before his troubles with the feds) introduces the British television film "Threads" on Vancouver's CKVU Television in 1984.
A YouTube commenter writes, "If we get nuked, Im hidin in that dude's eyebrows."
I really miss Weisbach.
I know most hated him, but he was perfect for an hour in the last phase of KVI...
Sort of remember his regular show in the KVI "old days", but my favorite moment with him was when he was filling in for Dori at KIRO...
A caller got in and called him a "fucking asshole" before he could find the dump button.
(it made my radio blush)

Weissbach might be better advised to go back to his home country of Canada, where it may be more socialist than here as he always claimed (not sure if that's true now though), but the economy is clearly better than it is here and Stephen Harper is a better leader than the one we have.
His political analysis was pretty good and often spot on, and he verbally bludgeoned Dems as well as many Repuglicans, but his style was a bit terse for my appeal - his style was close to take no prisoners.
Maybe he can land a talk-radio gig up there. He doesn't seem to be on much around here these days.

I thought that Weisbach did a radio show just for kicks...
Didn't need the money and liked doing it.
I'd love to hear him back on the air in Seattle.
Ah well...
Not holding my breath on that one.

KS: in case you missed it, Weissbach's building maintenance company was investigated by ICE and he had to fire about 150 illegals. He barely made it without being charged by the feds. Mikey wrote all about it last year and it was in the local paper.

I was aware of it and that tarnished his reputation as far as I was concerned.

I watched that movie. It's the scariest, most disturbing film I've ever seen, way more so than The Day After. Then again, did you expect anything other than sanitised, dumbed-down pablum from America?
