Love Ciscoe weekend mornings.
I would check out Larry Rice a bit each day on the weekends.
Sorry to hear he's gone...
I wondered why I was hearing replays of the different weekday shows I never hear.
There's a reason I never hear them and that habit will continue on the weekends now.
Bill Handel is great Saturday evenings when I get a chance to listen... On KTTH.

Itchy

1. Revenue is down.

2. Cut product to save $.

3. Listening drops as a result.

4. Revenue goes down further.

5. Cut product to save $.

Repeat as needed.

jen

ciscoe sends shivers straight to my nether parts.

Mike Barer

They need live bodies. that's why our economy is in the
pits

joanie

Scott Conner on KPTK beats Cisco's Oo la la any day. I'm surprised KIRO has any listeners left at all. And I miss Tom Douglas and Thery on Saturday evenings.

Nigel

The News Chick's show is a new hour of content every week - might not be live, but it's not refried either.

Still Frank Shiers #1 Fan FOREVAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Larry headed to the "greener" pastures at KOMO..it's a bummer, cuz he's good people.

Now it's 12 hours of aliens and 12 hours of KIROcasters interviewing themselves.

"On this week's show our guest is Dan Restione! He's SO OSSIM!"

Fuck.

Dr. McCormick

thats' Thierry, teach, not Thery. you're welcome.

Radio Queen

If they're recycling weekdays, how come no Dave or Dori? Maybe they have better contracts that preclude mgmt from using their voices 7 days a week, but only paying them for 5.

joanie

Thanks, Dr. McGollum...err McCormick.

Sarah

Curious? Does any one know if it's against radio rules to make on air bets? I always thought it was and in listening to the Dori Monson Show it seems they do it all the time, most recently on today's show a few minutes ago making a bet on where the stock market would end up today.

joanie

Sarah, I'm going to hazard a guess: it might depend on the stakes. I think money makes the difference. What was the bet?

Sarah

Yes, you are probably correct Joanie it's usually small amounts, today being $5 I believe. Don't know where I picked up that any sort of on air wager was against FCC regulations but you likely are right. Thank you.

Puget Sound Blathers

yet another dori hater that always manages to catch the show. LMAO.

too bad sarah, you missed a stellar appearance by Dori on Brock and Salk's 'Answer the Question Jerk' segment.

StarTheWonderDog

Yeah PS she probably tuned in accidentally. Bwahaa

Puget Sound Blathers

LMAO
geez, you should have read the gymnastics 'sparkles' would go through on how she 'accidentally' heard some of dori's show. of course, she had to go through the preamble in order to express 'outrage' at something dori said.
sarah has the same MO. ha ha

joanie

KIRO doesn't garner many comments anymore. There was a time . . .

Good Rob Schneider radio clip Comedian Rob Schneider gets political

Just the picture here

I've seen one Rob Schneider movie: Deuce Bigelow European Gigolo. It was embarrassing. Who would believe the guy was so smart?

Grant in Toledo

I saw the news chick. She's tall - I'd say six feet or so. Nice voice.

KS blathers for the halibut

I also like Bill Handel...on KTTH on Saturday evenings. Earlier this year he was KIRO-FM until 97.3 made their brilliant change. Before then Bob Brinker was also on KIRO-FM on Sundays, but now he's on KTTH - who is probably winning the ratings war over KIRO-FM on the weekends now.

one suggestion for KIRO-FM, Bring back Pat Cashman...

Jovita

Got home this afternoon from a great fishing trip out of Seward. We will be eating halibut for a year!
Why am I not surprised it is still piled high and deep in here. LMAO

gerry0416

I gave up on KIRO when they added Puke Burbank to the Dave Ross Show. It doesn't sound like they are getting any better.

NoBS

The News Chick's show is not rehash, it's different than what is on during the week. Improvement over the week too because there's no Radke on her show. I don't get how this guy can fool so many people. He's a comedian but he's not funny, he's worked on a money show for NPR but he's ignorant when he talks about financial news, and his weekend show is a conversation with anyone around the station he could round up, including his producer who always derails the conversation and sounds awful. I like Luke Burbank, he actually has some brains, but Radke is a wannabe in every category. Not gonna be anything but boring and slow in my opinion.

Radio Queen

Radke's not fooling anyone--except mgmt. A lot of people share your opinion of him. His blog is so bad that there are usually only a few comments--and at least one of them always tells him he sucks. He needs to go away. Poor Linda. She deserves a better partner.
