Cleveland Congressman Dennis Kucinich will speak at the annual KPTK AM1090 Forum, July 23rd, adding to the growing buzz that the liberal gadfly will move to Seattle and seek the congressional seat in Washington's new 10th District, being created as we speak.

There's a strong chance his Ohio congressional district will be altered unfavorably or eliminated next year.
Though Kucinich is looking at other districts around the country for his carpet bagging venture, his wife Elizabeth is said to favor the Puget Sound region.
"I keep getting invitations to come here and I appreciate it," Kucinich told an interviewer from Patch.com. "The people are passionate for social and economic justice."

“We are thrilled to blah, bliddy, blah, blah” said KPTK Program Director Carey Curelop in a mindless statement written in his name by a faceless minion in the local CBS marketing department. (Curelop, it is said, sometimes forgets entirely that the robot-run progressive station even exists. "It just slips my mind," he says. His spends his days making sure the hits keep on comin' on music stations in the CBS Seattle cluster like oldies KZOK, Kountry KMPS and sat/bot KJAQ. Meanwhile, KPTK keeps on sinkin' in the market ratings).
KPTK talkers Stephanie Miller, Norman Goldman, Mike Papantonio, Randi Rhodes, Mike Malloy will attend; plus Ron Reagan. Former Seattle Times political reporter David Postman will referee.
The AM1090 Forum takes place Saturday, July 23rd at 6p at the ShoWare Center in Kent.
Well, I think it's just great that Peter Jackson gives Dennis so much time off fro the filing of THE HOBBIT so he can make these appearances.

This is their sixth year for doing a great radio get-to-gether of good liberals. One of my parents, a very smart MIT-trained engineer (obviously not you, KS) wrote Kucinich welcoming him to the northwest. I saw him at Kane Hall in 2004. He is an unbelievably riveting speaker. And he has courage which few seem to have these days on the left. Which is why Pelosi and the corporate dems dislike him. If people were smart, they'd be voting for a lot more non-corporatists. Pelosi is okay in my book but she still is too tied to the status quo. But she's trying. I'll give her that. We need some rogues.
Dennis saved Cleveland's energy grid when he was a barely out of his teens mayor. Yeah, the bankers took him on and threw him out of office. When the people of Cleveland celebrated its public energy grid some years later, he was welcomed back with open arms and has been reelected ever since. He was one politician who did the right thing even though it cost him his job. So disrespect him all you like, it only shows your own ignorance.
Listening to Ed on my way back from BB today. His MSNBC show beat Fox last week in the right demographic. His numbers are growing. Of course, he doesn't get his talking points emailed to him every day so you get a little more diversity on his show. Of course, we all know right-wingers don't like diversity so they'll be tied to Fox as it tumbles into oblivion. Apparently, Elizabeth Muroch has been whining for some time "Why can't Fox News deliver the real news?" I love it. And she hates Roger Ailes. Well, if people want one king of the world named Murdock to continue adding to his billions and deciding who can be prime minister and who can't, support him. Next thing you'll see that he crowns our presidents as well. If he doesn't already.
Oh, Ed his hot today. He tells it like it is. And he's getting great guests because they know that average people hear them on Ed's show.
We need more Ed Schultzes.
BTW, I thought Lee Callahan did everything at KPTK. Interesting that other people actually do something as well.
Mmm, had a good weekend at Birch Bay where it rained cats and dogs Saturday night. I'm wondering if that was the same storm that took down the stage at the Ottawa bluesfest. It was a monster!!!!

Joanie: I appreciate your labors trying to educate these fools on the right, but it is like trying to fix an outhouse that is already plum full of Faux News.

Just saw your post, St. Rudy. Thanks. It's nice to be appreciated. I'm determined to keep trying all the way to the poor house to which these fools are leading us.

Here's the full scoreboard, where the overall numbers show that FOX still dominates big time.
Posted by: Radio Queen | July 20, 2011 at 11:52 AM
Which proves there are still a lot of really stupid and uninformed people walking around quoting Hannity. Scary!
Posted by: Jovita | July 20, 2011 at 12:23 PM
You know, Queen. You really just like to argue. You sound like a privileged white woman without much empathy for anyone but yourself. Are you a stay-at-home mom?
Now my comment: His MSNBC show beat Fox last week in the right demographic. And Ed does it even while MSNBC requires a more expensive cable fee than Fox.
Why so argumentative? Do you have compulsion to always one up or be right about everything. So far, you're zero for two.
Sparky is right. Ask Roger Ailes. I'm surprised you want to admit to being one of the lazy people who needs someone to do their thinking for them.
Posted by: joanie | July 20, 2011 at 01:11 PM
Sorry. Jovita. I saw the Supra and assumed Sparky. I'm getting older I guess.
Posted by: joanie | July 20, 2011 at 01:12 PM
It occurs to me that Puget Sound has the same problem. Reading more carefully might help.
Posted by: joanie | July 20, 2011 at 01:19 PM
Not argumentative, joanie, just completing the picture you started to paint. You only see me as argumentative because I give views that are different from yours.
Yes, Jovita, you'd like to think that all FOX viewers are "stupid and uninformed" but many of us are not those right wing whackos or religious extremists you love to hate--we're educated professionals who just see things differently. Those on the left tout their intellect and tolerance, but I don't see much of it practiced here.
Posted by: Radio Queen | July 20, 2011 at 02:41 PM
You very arrogant. I painted the picture I wanted to paint. Do you really think that on this blog you are the first to provide details about Fox News and it dominant listenership? Which is why it is a pretty big deal that Ed beat Fox News in the meaningful demographic. Having said that, most people watch mainstream media which, according to you guys, is all liberal. What does that say about who the majority of people are watching?
What I don't tolerate is the kind of arrogance you demonstrate nor the kind of stupidity most of these rightwingers post. I have criticized the left as much as the right including radio left and right. Obviously, I'm a liberal so it is not a matter of tolerating but of conviction to the values of the left. I find it typical of the right not to be able to understand that. You think in boxes and you really aren't much different which is why you have to be so argumentative about small stuff. I mean really, really small stuff. An example? The above post about Fox News. Another? IMC's posts. Both were clearly targeted to specific items. You don't have to sell Fox News dominance in the cable media. We get it. You don't get the significance (or you can't admit it) of Ed's beating Fox News in a significant demographic.
Think about it. And try to practice what you're preaching.
Posted by: joanie | July 20, 2011 at 02:55 PM
You sound like a privileged white woman without much empathy for anyone but yourself. Are you a stay-at-home mom?
Posted by: joanie | July 20, 2011 at 01:11 PM
so exactly why would a stay at home parent lack empathy? most sacrifice and do with less in order to be with their children during this formative period.
Posted by: Puget Sound Blathers | July 20, 2011 at 05:50 PM
Queen darlin' I don't hate anyone. I don't even know you. If you want to claim you're educated AND watch Fox News, you go ahead. No skin off my nose.
Posted by: Jovita | July 20, 2011 at 06:11 PM
Mr Sound in this economy, most women who choose to stay at home do so because the family can afford it. Can't say that includes too many women of color. Doesn't mean the Queen is an exception, but I doubt it. You should ask her, because she is educated. She just said so.
Posted by: Jovita | July 20, 2011 at 06:15 PM
For all we know Queen is a guy.
Posted by: Johnny Sombrerro | July 20, 2011 at 06:25 PM
Mr. Sound lacks an understanding of syntax. He doesn't realize that you can be black and privileged and lack empathy or be white and privileged and have empathy. The Queen could have copped to being white and privileged and empathetic but she didn't did she? And you have no clue what she is.
Nobody was talking to you anyway.
Posted by: joanie | July 20, 2011 at 06:31 PM
poor joanie, making race based assumptions and trying to backtrack to cover same. so sad.
Posted by: Puget Sound Blathers | July 20, 2011 at 07:43 PM
and note the 'sidestep' on the real issue of why a stay at home mother would lack empathy per joanie. even jovita won't touch that irresponsible quote by joanie.

"I shall return".. "I'm leaving now, hey, look at me, I'm leaving here"...

Keep trying. You'll figure it out . . .eventually. Or get some help.
Posted by: joanie | July 20, 2011 at 08:11 PM
I not only touched it, I embraced it, and tried to explain it to you. My bad I failed!

Shove it ! Enough of that bullcrap- intolerance is Joanie's middle name. Your conviction of values is arrogant and warped to hell, btw and you don't care if the country goes down the crapper, because that is exactly where it will go, if the liberals stay in control of the political class. There's already good evidence to support that claim right now. BTW, Republicans are also part of the political class and a number of them are worthless.
OK, Keep on with your disingenuous haggish and idiotic rants, but they won't be going unchecked. Just one more example that liberalism is a mental illness.

"Fathom the hypocrisy of a Government
that requires every citizen to prove
they are insured...but not everyone
must prove they are a citizen."
More vestiges of liberalism leaving its mark as this country is trending toward the above comment.
Posted by: KS blathering for the halibut | July 20, 2011 at 09:40 PM
KS, I agree, Joanie’s middle name is “Enough of that bullcrap- intolerance”. I would hazard to guess most people feel the same.
I furthermore concur; Democrats and Republicans are the political ruling class. Whom do you suggest should replace them?

KS,
"Fathom the hypocrisy of a people who require taxes of every working person yet deny protection of the law which they pay."
My quote, you can use it.

Posted by: joanie | July 20, 2011 at 01:11 PM
Jeez, you make it sound like an embarrassing condition that no one would want to "cop" to. For the record (again), I am female, I work in education, my race is not relevant (nor is it your business), and I've walked the talk of empathy. I've spent my career helping those from all walks of life make higher education a reality when they never dreamed they could attain it.
Obviously, I'm a liberal so it is not a matter of tolerating but of conviction to the values of the left.
Posted by: joanie | July 20, 2011 at 02:55 PM
This a prime example of what's wrong with putting political ideology before tolerance for other points of view. By your own words, you've placed yourself in a narrow-minded box.
BTW, to continually tell others to butt out of discussions is ridiculous. This is a public forum--not your personal fiefdom.
Posted by: Radio Queen | July 21, 2011 at 08:37 AM
"made it sound" - how? Just a statement. Embarrassed to admit you're white? Yes, you fit the mold. Work in education - home school? That one I don't believe or you'd be more specific. Or perhaps the sin of omission for effect. There is no "talk of empathy." "I've spent my career helping..." sounds like "I have black friends." You either are or you aren't. Ah, you prove my point: the right uses lies whether by outright lying or omission.
Values are now an "ideology?" And I can say "butt out" to anyone I want.
Who's in the box?
Keep arguing.
Posted by: joanie | July 21, 2011 at 09:57 AM
You sound a bit like a petulant first grader, joanie. You just can't accept the fact that not all of us who work in public education don't automatically tow the leftist party line. And anyone who acuses me of lying based soley on my political ideology isn't worth my time. This conversation is over.

trusted sources tell us that BLATHERWATCH'ES Joanie has been taking the same medication for years, for the same purpose, but with only sporadic postive results.

severe episodes of stupidity
Posted by: Dr. McCormick | July 21, 2011 at 12:27 PM
And you sound much like Puget Sound who dodges most hard questions. BTW, first graders are not petulant. So I know you're not a first grade teacher. I know of some petulant adults, however. Reread your posts and you'll see what I mean. All this over the fact that Ed's numbers beat Fox News in the money category. Talk about petulant.
BTW, have you noticed your peanut gallery? Puget Sound, KS, and Gollum?
Now, have your last word because that's what petulant people do. I'm done.

Don't be silly. I don't own a rolodex. You're a nut. You spend more time researching this blog than anyone I know. Find them yourself.
But, I'll be glad to point them out in the future . . . because you get yourself into dead ends all the time. Of course, you won't know because you'll have disappeared by then.
