Al-Jazeera says it "has been given information that journalist Dorothy Parvaz has been deported from Syria to Iran."
Seems Parvaz tried to enter Syria on a expired Iranian passport. Syria has chosen, apparently, to throw her out of the Syrian frying pan into the Iranian lion's den.
The thumbing in our face continues.

If you have a passport (i doubt it) it is clearly stated ....to permit the citizen to pass without delay or hindrance....
Our government is impotent in our foreign relations and continues to allow our citizens to be abused overseas.

The funniest thing about this story is that when she was "detained" by the Iranians, one of the officials noted that she worked for the The Seattle Intelligencer newpaper. Since "Intelligence" was in the word "Intelligencer," it MUST have been a front for the CIA. No joke. Can't make this stuff up.
