Coiler

Probably the best in the long time. He got some good zingers in at Trump et al.

sparky

Gee, why was The Donald not laughing????

The explanation to Fox News that his comments were meant as jokes was the best part!

Tommy008

Maki9ng a lame joke about being called arrogant doesn't mean your accusers are wrong. Trump was the guest of The Washington Post at the dinner......Barry must have been furious when he heard about it....a guy like this hates anyone who dares callenge himn , with a white hot heat...the jokes were the closest he could come publicly to talking to Trump like he did to the tv reporter from Texas.

Itchy

Seth Meyers also said that "C-Span is one unpaid electric bill away from becoming a radio station."

sparky

Seth Meyers was great

The Donald, and Bill O'Reilly never cracked a smile, which made the people around them giggle even more..

The Donald's hair from that angle is probably why you never see it from that angle anywhere else. His wife should gently explain to him that manly men can be bald and point out how women love Patrick Stewart.

sparky

Yes, Tommy, I watched both videos. Obama looked pretty furious all right.

Tommy008

wow, a comic from SNL ...SNL stopped being hip or funny in the nineteen eighties....Obama likes to think he's hipper than any white guY in the room, with his Ipod filled with Snoop and JayZ, but actually Trump is hipper- he hangs out with the likes of P Diddy and many more......the jokes Obama told were beyond lame- then they trotted out Seth to do the mean Trump jokes..."I thought Trump was running as a joke, not as a Republican....hahahahahaahah... what talent!... does anyone besides a few lame college kids find a just gratuitously mean "joke" like this to be funny?......Trump wins the week...bigtime.....

Dark & Stormy

Newsflash: Trump is not in any way "hip". If he won anything this week it was the booby prize for being such a petulant moron.

Tommy008

he might not be real hip in the grand scheme of things , but Trump has some hipness. This puts him way ahead of Obama who is not hip at all. Arrogance and cockiness is not hip, not cool. He's one of those guys who thinks hes real cool and hip but in a reality he's a dweeb and a nerd and most people see him that way. This guy is Erkel- all growed up. This guy has become so obnoxious i cant stand to watch him on tv or hear a speech clip on a redio newscast . the radio goes off anD the tv remote clicks mute or the next channel.

Itchy

No wonder Tommy008 likes The Donald.

They both dislike "the blacks."

BREAKING- OSAMA BIN LADEN NEWS FROM OBAM LIVE IN A FEW MINUTES

popcorn is poppinf as we speak here- has to be very good news if obam ais goign live - Tommy008

BREAKING- OSAMA BIN LADEN NEWS FROM OBAM LIVE IN A FEW MINUTES

BIN LADEN IS DEAD OFFICIAL

sparky

Its true. Now maybe the fear mongering will stop, we can wind down the wars and bring the troops home as soon as possible.

sparky

You're pretty sharp, Bla'M. You had this headline all ready!

In other breaking news, Trump wants to see the long form death certificate.

Tommy008

we have the body.............

Zim

Leave it to the Liberals to destroy our enemies.

Jovita

After ten years of "Democrats want the terrorists to win!" now Republicans demand "leave the politics out!" ROFL LMAO

Jovita

Danger Jim Foreman reports in from Twitter: formanKING5 jimforman
US threat level upped as news of bin laden death spreads.

2 minutes later:

jimformanKING5 jimforman
Sorry truncated message. US military readiness upped after news of bin laden death. This according to my NBC sources is worldwide.

way to go Jim!

EvergreenRailfan

If only we had had something more powerful than the Tomahawk in 1998, we might have taken Osama Bin Laden out after he hit our embassies in Kenya and Tanzania.

KS

One good thing - Obama with the drones is a killing machine (hattip - Dennis Miller).

Re: The President with his zingers. He read smoothly off the teleprompter (the TOTUS). The joke about Trump checking the validity on the moon was rather lame, but at least he showed a little class for a change on giving Trump his accolades. The Donald was being congenial. Seth Meyers seemed like a twerp stupid joke - he seemed like the joke himself, IMO. David Spade would have been better.

I don't see Trump as being Presidential timber for the GOP. For one thing, he probably fits in equally well with the Democrats and has contributed more the Dem candidates all along. How many of you knew that ? Probably not many, since of a few of the media maggots bothered to report it.

KS

BIN LADEN is dead ! Job well done, Drones !

Dark & Stormy

@ T008:

Are you talking about yourself?:

"He's one of those guys who thinks hes real cool and hip but in a reality he's a dweeb and a nerd and most people see him that way".

Stay in the basement, you aren't ready for the real world.

Coiler

If Bushler was still president, FOX would of interrupted Family Guy.

Jovita

The drones report is false. OBL was taken out by by humans on the ground, by permission of the President!!

Jovita

Well at least Mitt Romney has some class:
"Romney: "This is a great victory. Congratulations to our intelligence community, our military and the president."

Crickets from Pawlenty, Trump, Huckabee or Gingrich. Sarah Palin is sure to point out that this was done with a time-release bullet fired by Bush.

Jovita

Hey Tommy Trump's got a team looking into Obama's college transcripts, Obama's got a team taking out Bin Laden.

Zim

As we are witnessing, this will throw the right into a chaotic mess.

Sarah

OBL's demise just guaranteed our President's re-election.

EvergreenRailfan

KS, it was not drones, but Special Forces soldiers, actual men going in to take him out.

Phil McCracken

Now Mr. President, any way you can turn your attention over to the Ron and Don Nation?

Zim

Wow, do you see the triumphant celebration being held in DC?

Coiler

Yes, it's amazing, the pirates and now OBL.

EvergreenRailfan

The big crowd is in Lafayette Park, just across the street from the White House. Named in honor of the French guy that helped us out in the Revolution. Saw one of the Don't Tread on Me flags in the crowd, but then again, our Navy uses it, since 9/11.

Truth hurts

I guess they need to wake up GWB so he can issue his congratulations to President Obama ...

A true Patriot would be rejoicing with his country. GWB is pouting.

AprilMayJune

"A testament to the greatness of this country"

EvergreenRailfan

I think Tom Ridge and Andy Carr(Bush's first Chief of Staff) have weighed in, so has Condoleeza Rice.

KS

I stand corrected - it was indeed Special Forces who took him and others out in a firefight in Pakistan...

Kudos to the US Military and Sec. of Defense Gates and General Petraeus !

Premature ejaculation- Sarah. If this event occurred in Sept. 2012 instead of now, it may well have iced his reelection, but much will happen between now and Nov. 2012 and it is less certain.

The leftwingers do not like our military policy - and for the rest of us there too many wars driving us deeper in debt, closer to default.

KS

Bush will offer congratulations tomorrow - you can take that to the bank. He may be a warmonger and a mediocre president, but he is steadfastly patriotic and deeply indebted to the US military

Zim

KS, I think this is an indication that Obama isn’t a political asshole like the republicans.

KS

What's this ? it already happened - Bush's statement

"Earlier this evening, President Obama called to inform me that American forces killed Osama bin Laden, the leader of the al Qaeda network that attacked America on September 11, 2001.

I congratulated him and the men and women of our military and intelligence communities who devoted their lives to this mission. They have our everlasting gratitude.

This momentous achievement marks a victory for America, for people who seek peace around the world, and for all those who lost loved ones on September 11, 2001. The fight against terror goes on, but tonight America has sent an unmistakable message: No matter how long it takes, justice will be done."

Also, kudos to Leon Panetta, head of the CIA.

sparky

Another big celebration at Ground Zero..what a moment for those families. It's wonderful.

Coiler

Our president gave the order.

"In mid-March, Obama headed five National Security Council meetings on the subject. Friday morning, he gave the final order to carry out the attack on a compound in what was described as an "affluent suburb" of Islamabad."

joanie

Great video. I"m glad you posted as I enjoyed every minute of it. Several great lines but I think I liked the one to Bachman best: Yes, Michelle, this is how it starts.

Obama's gotta be a great flirt. He's awesomely attractive! That's what my first graders would say and I agree.

STW, Sparky, if you look real close, you'll see the Donald smile at the quip from Obama about the Trump decisions keeping him up at night.

Osama. You know, folks, we've been looking for Ten years. We got him. Why all the celebrating. How many kids have we lost trying to get him? How many Iraqi? Afghani? Even CBC is all about Osama. And Americans are celebrating like it is a New Year. I don't know. What's to celebrate? Instead of starting a war for oil, our current President set up an on-the-ground infiltration campaign to find the man. Anybody see a difference between the "showdown at the OK corral" method of Bush and the quiet workings of the mind of Obama?

It is over. Life goes on. I do not celebrate death. Not even Osama's. How many new Osamas have we created with our wars?

sparky

Because for a lot of those people you see, especially in NYC, this is a relief, revenge, etc, all tied up in one big event. Those people at Ground Zero have finally gotten closure!

Chucks

Congratulations to President Obama and the men and women of our military, as well as the CIA.
The naysayers have babbled on for years about what a waste of time it was and how poor of a job our CIA and military was doing.
Others of us have never lost faith in them. They stayed with the task at huge personal cost and persevered.
Contrary to what a few have said here this evening, the task is not complete and they will continue the fight until the war is won.
They have severed the head from the snake, but there are plenty of other little snakes still intent on causing us harm.
American warriors will prevail. Never a doubt. Damn, I am proud of our warrior class.
Ooh Rah!!!

EvergreenRailfan

Brian Williams mentioned something out of history. It was also on this day, in 1945, or close to it, the reports that Hitler had killed himself in Berlin broke. ALthough that day, we were 1 week out to what would become VE Day. I was thinking, at least GW is still around to see this day, FDR had died just weeks before Hitler died, and months before we would have War in the Pacific over.

I remember hearing awhile back something about the soon to be retired Junior Senator from the State of Hawaii, Senator Daniel Akaka(D-HI), that he was the only Senator who was present when WWII started, ended, and the day the War on Terror began. Well, he is still in the Senate for this day.

Chucks

"Obama shot and killed"

As reported by Norah O'Donnell on twitter.
Even I am glad she had that one wrong.
If Osama were to be buried in a pig carcass, I'd vote for Obama.

I am just freaking ecstatic for our military right now. They have paid dearly for this celebration.

joanie

Proud of our warrior class. From the never-served armchair general.

Sorry, Sparky. Not my cup of closure. I think's chux's post says it. We love killing in this country.

Tommy008

leave it to Joanie to spoil our wonderful evening of celebration with her asinine self-important little lecture. No one wants to read your silly crap at this time.

Chucks

Kiss my big ol' ass joanie. May not have served in the military, but I have jumped over fences and run through alleys in the middle of the night pursuing armed suspects. I have set up containment's in the middle of the night, looking for armed criminals protecting the likes of you.
Certainly can not be your "cup of closure". Closure will not come until the last enemy is dead or quits.
Now go to bed you dumb ass. Others will keep you safe, both here and abroad.
