Jeez, first Tony Miner, now good bye to KIRO ace reporter, Heather Bosch.
Snippet from internal memo to CBS affiliates:
CBS Radio News has announced the hiring of two more correspondents.
Heather Bosch, an award winning reporter for KIRO Radio in Seattle, joins us as a New York based correspondent effective May 2nd. She worked at KIRO for more than 10 years both as a reporter and a news anchor. Prior to that she was an anchor and reporter for KOMO TV and Radio as well as KXLY TV and Radio. She has won numerous RTNDA Murrow awards for her wonderful series reporting, use of sound, sports reporting and newscasts.
She is very good. Honestly I thought she had already been picked up by a major network.

Good for Heather.
I saw her once in person and thought she was hot.
Just an observation.

Why don't you cool it on the sexist remarks. Heather made it on her talent and hard work and I witnessed that first hand, so keep you Faux like comments to yourself. Grow up.

She's got a face for TV, that's for sure. Why is she hiding on radio?
Posted by: Erictheeditor | April 25, 2011 at 12:32 PM
I thought the fact that she was attractive enough for TV but working in radio was a testament to her dedication to journalism. In contrast to people like Dori, who went from the behind the cameras to behind the microphone, due to, we can only assume, a lack of opportunities infront of a camera.

Erictheeditor, I'd say she's EXCELLING in radio :-)
The back story is Heather was in TV in Spokane but came to Seattle without a job when her hubby got hired as a TV producer for KIRO-TV.
TV news jobs were tight back then so she went back to her roots in radio - first at KOMO Radio then KIRO AM, when then News Director Steve Knight hired her away.

You're kidding, right?
This blog! The Blatherwatch blog where the insults fly continuously, photos of conservatives are often distorted into ghoulish Quasimodos and I say something flattering about a woman?
How about YOU grow up and accept my comment for the light hearted compliment about Heather that it was.
And yes, she has always come across as a fine journalist.

Nice backpeddaling move there RB. Hope you learned something through this exchange.

"hope you learned something through this exchange '- oh we have learned... we have learned ....teach us Sarah and your mistress Hag...we are not worthy.....we are not worthy.....bwaahahahahahaahahahah

@Sarah ~ RB's only move was to call you on your tendency to overreact with condescending, righteous indignation. Faux like comments? Please explain.

Heather is a class act and I am not a little slave girl. Move on boys your getting stale.

Wow, congrats to Heather. But I can only wonder what kind of huge change this will be for her family. Her husband works for MSN Money at Microsoft (and that's not a bad gig either) and she's got 3 boys. NYC is not exactly kid-friendly and would be a HUGE transition for the family. However, I don't know the dynamics of her family so perhaps this is a dream come true. Who knows? But kudos to Heather!!!

Thanks for not saying "RIP"

Actually, I think she has 2 boys, not three.

I've learned that you really decided to interject your own nonsense into my post.
I said "good for her".
Then made a compliment about Heather's appearance.
Pretty clear where you're coming from Sarah...
Now go bake some cookies or do some laundry there girlie.
(I may as well go with it)

Joanie is projecting her alter ego (perhaps the daughter she never had (?)? onto Sarah. Notice that her and Joanie are rarely on at the same time. You be the judge here.
Posted by: KS | April 25, 2011 at 08:33 PM
The judge of what, your attempt at being an ace detective like Orly Taitz?
Posted by: Coiler | April 25, 2011 at 08:58 PM
Are Joanie's surrogate now ?
Posted by: KS | April 25, 2011 at 09:18 PM
Heather Bosch is the topic here, not me and not Joanie, can you possibly get that through your head. You are being very childish.
Posted by: Sarah | April 25, 2011 at 09:28 PM
Talk to the hand dear. Email someone who cares.
Posted by: KS | April 25, 2011 at 09:48 PM
I think she's great and I"m glad for her. CBS . . . hmmm. . . who do we recall left Dave Ross for CBS? Hope Heather fares better. It is the big time.

I liked listening to Heather. It seems like a lot of good people are leaving KIRo, is that to pay for Radke's ego?
Posted by: NoBS | April 26, 2011 at 02:12 PM
To give the ladies on this post some credibility--the story is about Heather's talents, and it turned into a diatribe about her appearance, and sexist remarks from others to the women who dared point that out. My wife learned me good. Let's keep this on topic. Also wondering how we'd react if a man got a job in NYC? Would we talk about how his wife and kids would adjust? Never seen that one before. You guys need to move into the present.

Heather Bosch is very talented and a class act. As a female media person, keep the sexism out of this! I'll be sure to listen to her on CBS now:)

OK all of you whining womenz libbers. Included with the article on Ms Bosch is a head shot photo that she had taken to attach to her resume when searching for a job to promote her self and her beauty, in hopes of landing a job on the tv, perhaps.
Actors, actresses, TV newsers and dancers all use their best photos for self promotion.
Are we not supposed to notice, look or comment on her own photo.
Don't be silly.
