Yes, recall GOPAC and Newt being run from the basement of the Capitol

This is where KS et al get their corpspeak from

joanie

The list was mailed out to Republican candidates. It suggested that candidates refer to their opponents as "sick, pathetic, liberal, incompetent, tax spending traitors." And to themselves as: "humane visionary, confident, candid, hard-working reformer[s]." The mailing that accompanied the list said that candidates are often heard to say: "I wish I could speak like Newt." Knowing the magical 133 words to describe one's opponents was a big step in the right direction.

There is nothing like a frame . . . nothing in the world.

Name that tune.

Good link. Coiler.

But thanks to the Dems, literacy tests were eliminated and blacks became full-fledged voters. Took a long time but it happened, no thanks to the Republican south.

Ah, I always regret nuance. Complexity just doesn't suit you three, does it?

Posted by: joanie | January 07, 2011 at 08:26 PM

More Agent Joanie Moonbeam-speak. Great job of garbling the history and making Progressives look historically ignorant.
It was the Democratic Party in the South (to include people like William Fulbright) that loved the Literacy Tests to keep blacks from voting.

Tommy008

Monson whines about broadcast and sports organizations "fast-tracking" Ted Williams into national voice-over and announcing gigs. If Monson had done any homework on Williams instead of being a lazyass local talkhost ( he prides himself on what a "workhorse" he is) he would know not to take this bogus stance. Williams isn't being fast-tracked, he is simply moving to the level tha the was due to move up to anyway, before he went on drugs. Twenty plus years ago Williams was travelling around the country doing voice-over and radio work, while working for 7 radio stations in Ohio at the same time. He was a regular on a morning zoo type show on a big station in Columbus and known as the Teddy Bear. The guy had groupies, Dori- oh , that's right, not to be mean, but i guess you wouldn't know about that type of thing. He has proven that , incredibly, his voice has retained the same quality he had at his peak. So this is simply the move up that he was going to make anyway, delayed by a few decades. So stop with your "fasttrack" nonsense, Dori , you jealous little toad.

Coiler

Pretty much sums up the Newtster

"How do you give that speech and do what you're doing?" his wife said.
"It doesn't matter what I do," Newt replied. "People need to hear what I have to say. There's no one else who can say what I can say. It doesn't matter what I live." Actions, he believes, do not speak louder than words. Time will tell if he's right.

Puget Sound

How about some answer-points, Coils?

Like when they gonna close Gitmo?

How'd the Dims take Veto proof majorities and get so little?

How do Progressives like a new Chief of Staff Daley?

Hope your thirsty, as you'll be getting some more Tea-party time.

LMAO, doubt you'll answer that...

Black-Whiner
I like you posting. It's fun to see how anxious you are to please 'em and how short a leash Joanie has you on. When she pulls you up short, you quickly backtrack. Hell, even Anti-Dori does it to you.

But after M Steele, Rozscat, et al I think even the Usual Suspects are on to you.
Word of advice to you GG, back up and reinvent another persona and come back.
Sorry, just saying what everyone is thinking at this point.
But if it is working for you then keep it up. But just know you are only making the rest of us laugh.

Tommy008

Dori, Ted Williams just got paid 10,000 smackers last week, for one day's work. That's a cool 10k , a ten grand stack of cheddar for a day's work for Kraft Foods, cutting 4 national spots for their mac and cheese product. Come Monday it will be a bit of a trick for you to smugly trivialize and mock him, while pretending to be in line with the 99.999999% of Americans who are cheering him on. haha Dori haha Dori, ..........

Puget Sound

wow, $10k would keep Star Monson styling for a long time.
good catch, T008

how's the Agent Joanie Moonbeam Chronicles coming along?

Tommy008

frankly the subject matter is too boring, PS.

joanie

Another good post, Coiler. The right: it's all words, folks. But the ignorant suckers in the bunch will believe them.

And there goes again: see #1, 2 and 5. rhino has sputsie's number or should I say numbers! Laughing again.

joanie

Finaly a short post from the zero man. Maybe, Tommy, if you could write more succinctly all the time, you'd get some books published.

Tommy008

our own wicked witch of the west, aka Joans, thinks she is too clever, by isolating on one or two personal aspects of a blog enemy (ANYONE THAT DARES DISAGREE WITH HER) thst she thinks is his or her Achilles Heel, i.e. Tommy's book publishing "failure"(bogus claim), Tommy's fledgling pro career in trading( mock, trivialize and deny any of his claims of his success) Puget's law school history and lack of lawyer status, "beancounter" job, Chucks's financial problems in his past, employment status, etc. Just like a truly, genuinely evil person, she zeroes in on these perceived ( by her) sore spots and weaknesses and attacks the openings again and again with her literary version of a sharpened spike, hoping to draw bood. A truly sick, evil and meanspirited person masquerading as a cheerful benevelont Seattle lib, biking around the parks and trails, eating granola. haha Joanie haha Joanie

I'm not a fan of Newt. He would not be a good candidate for POTUS. He has character flaws. Try again - by the way - who do you work for?

"The list was mailed out to Republican candidates. It suggested that candidates refer to their opponents as "sick, pathetic, liberal, incompetent, tax spending traitors." And to themselves as: "humane visionary, confident, candid, hard-working reformer[s]." Way to skeedadle on to another topic. yeah, that's real clever - ugh. Doesn't sound much different than Howard Dean - except he is a pathological liar in addition. You'd like Newt if he was a Democrat- he has some of the same character traits that would win your admiration. Know what I mean ?

Big Jim and the twins

Absolutely everything. How can anyone rebut nonsense?.

Go ahead, KS. Call me another name. It is what you do best after all. It is the only thing you three do well.

Posted by: joanie | January 07, 2011 at 10:46 PM

Keep grasping at straws. I see that you have still not backed up the assertions you made re: the Constitution. You can't rebut it so you resort to calling it nonsense - agent moonbeam la fraud -time to throw you under the bus - your act is getting old. Tommy is correct. You are squealing and whining pretty good - you and Black whiner. LOL...

Hawks taking NO to school right now! hahahahahahahah

figures that one of the Usual Suspects would be tasteless enough to score some political points off of this tragedy.
hey coiler, a nine year child died along with other good people.
can you just hold off a bit.

i hope that none of the other Usual Suspects will go this route.

Puget Sound

if your smart coils, you'll ask to have that post removed.
if your smart.

Coiler

Yes asshole, a nine year old has died along with 5 others you left out. Figures that you would never denounce those who advocate the second amendment in their rhetoric.

Waiting...

KS

Grow up - Coils - stop being a bigot. Do you have a job ? If so, where do you work. Don't be ashamed to tell and don't lie about it.

Puget Sound

i really hope that no one tries to do what coiler is doing.
it is very tasteless.

Puget Sound

ks
you don't think anyone else will follow his lead, do you?
right or left, Usual Suspects or others who post on this blog.

Coiler

A bigot? This guy was up your alley with his anti gumbint and immigration rhetoric. She was targeted before by these "2nd Amendment Remedy" types.

Coiler

Sheriff Clarence Dupnik, speaking about Arizona:

"When you look at unbalanced people, how they respond to the vitriol that comes out of certain mouths about tearing down the government. The anger, the hatred, the bigotry that goes on in this country is getting to be outrageous. And, unfortunately, Arizona I think has become sort of the capital. We have become the Mecca for prejudice and bigotry.

"It's not unusual for all public officials to get threats constantly, myself included. And that's the sad thing of what's going on in America. Pretty soon, we're not going to be able to find reasonable, decent people who are willing to subject themselves to serve in public office."

Tommy008

very very tasteless to try to score political points on a day like today. Shameful.

Puget Sound

good point, tommy 008.
hopefully he'll be alone on this.

KS

it is tasteless and shameful and a big character flaw, but nothing new here - it's typical of the lib progs to try and score political points in a tragic event such as this.

Ron Sergent

Scorn coming from the three on this blog who would be singing a different tune if that had been Nancy Pelosi instead of Gabriel who had been shot. You say nothing about how this violence must stop. How about agreeing to step back from your own ugly rhetoric on here?

You, sirs, are the ones who are tasteless.

Coiler

The fact remains...

"The race was between Giffords and Jesse Kelly, a tea party-backed Republican, who held one event in June that said "Get on Target for Victory in November. Help remove Gabrielle Giffords from office. Shoot a fully automatic M16 with Jesse Kelly."

I'm sure Fatso and Beck will say something "tasteless" on Monday and you assholes will dodge and evade the issue.

The Anti-Dori

Yes, these three buffoons are seeing the results of the ugly rhetoric they themselves spew.

It is a shame. They should be ashamed. But they won't and they will continue shaming themselves as they have above.

I respect that this is an open blog where such talkers are allowed to embarrass themselves. But occasionally the blogmaster needs to take an interest in his blog and remove nuisances which they've become.

This was unforgivable.

KS

How about agreeing to step back from your own ugly rhetoric on here?

You, sirs, are the ones who are tasteless.

Posted by: Ron Sergent | January 08, 2011 at 06:58 PM

Giffords and Pelosi are both Democrats. What was your point besides the one on your tin foil hat ? If Pelosi or any other politician were shot, it would have still been a senseless and reprehensible act.

Next time, engage your brain before you write, lest you want to be labeled an idiot.

BlackRhino

Cons feel the need to stride the fine line of vitriolic language until some demented person does their bidding. Afterward they claim to be the victim of liberal abuse.

sparky

Yes, let's all keep politics out of this, like Puts did when Ted Kennedy died.

Coiler

Yes, that is #11 or is it 9?

Coiler

CNN must be "shameful" too as they are doing a roundtable on the vitriol in AZ.

KS

Coils - your comments have demonstrated you are mentally ill. Where do you work ? Don't be ashamed to tell us. Actually, I doubt if you are capable of holding a job - that must be why you have not answered that question..

Your generalization is more of the same old bullshit and hypocrisy, BR.

Coiler

Judge Roll, thank you for your selfless public service. You will not be forgotten. Rest in peace.

BlackRhino

Ohh, I don’t think replying to these assholes is necessary. But here I go: Take some moral responsibility KS.

The Anti-Dori

Notice that Puget Sound is rather quiet. He doesn't like the spanking. KS, you show your ignorance. It is time for this thread to be done.

KS

Black Rhino you are a hypocrite and a joker. You are the one who doesn't know how to take responsibility - once again you are boring as hell.

BTW - Paul Krugman has already made this shooting out to be political and if you had any honesty, you should be calling him an a-hole, but you don't.

BlackRhino

KS, name calling is not in order. Take a look at this Arizona web site. It references the deranged beliefs of this man. They are a stark similarity to your own.

KS

Anti-Dori - with all due respect you came in late on this and don't know what you are talking about.

Coils has received the spanking and anyone else who politicized the senseless shooting in AZ. Prayers for Rep. Giffords and her family for her recovery.

With that said -it's past time to close out this thread. Ignorance has run amuck here.
