Several listeners wrote in to report that Dori Monson (KIRO m-f, 12-3p) blithely told his producer on-air Monday that Bonneville had fired him in the middle of December; he'd sued, he said, and an arbitrator got him rehired.
"It's good to have muh show back." Never at a loss for a cliche, he added, "It's the dawn of a new era."
This was apropos of nothing, and Producer Jake, fielding frantic email from listeners, lept in to urge him to make a correction.
Just joking, Dori said.
We listened to the podcast and it's hard to know what to make of it. It was off-hand, detailed, realistic, and believable. The specificity of it showed he gave it some thought. Did it really happen? And it's all in the confidentiality agreements (He does have the best agent in town, Paul Anderson) ... Or was it whistling past the graveyard?
(We remember a jerk in high school who told everyone he had cancer and had only months to live. It got him a lot of attention for a short period of time, and derision and ridicule for a long period of time after it was revealed he'd said it only to get attention, and approval).
You seem to be more upset about the comments about this incident, and not the shooting.

KS, You seem to be more upset about the comments about this incident, and not the shooting. Sad.

Black Whiner - Liar - I am upset about the shooting and pissed off at the stupid and bigoted comments from doofuses like you and mentally-wacked out Coiler who politicize this tragedy. The shooter was obviously deranged and his political affiliations were unknown and anyone who claims otherwise is lieing.
Coiler's comments should be deleted. It's time to close down this thread.

from the tragic to the trivial-------am i just being a duck here or do i have a valid point? i notice Dori says the word "gorgeous"- most recently in a commercial but im sure ive heard him say it in regular conversation. For my money, a straight man who says the word "gorgeous is girly . That is strictly a girls or gays word in my opinion. Buehler? Anyone?

“his political affiliations were unknown and anyone who claims otherwise is lieing.”

His political affiliations, I don’t know. But He posted his beliefs on MySpace and YouTube which are the same as yours. Are you saying he lied about himself?

She was a target at the“gun crosshairs on the Democrats in Congress” at the Palin facebook page.

Just read a great comment:
For all those arm-chair revolutionaries: this is what watering the tree of liberty looks like. A 9 year old, murdered. Take a good, hard look. The blood of the innocent outspills the guilty during a revolution.

White man in his 50’s is being sought and may be complicit in the crime. Bigots in the party of tea.
Well stated Sparky

His political affiliation is unknown, and most likely unimportant, in that he was a crazy person. I just wish that when someone on radio or on the
TV news says that we need "2nd Amendment Solutions" or we "need to reload" or "I want the people in my state to be armed and dangerous" that they take into consideration that lunatics are reading or listening to their words and run with it.

No on can accuse me of being a Palin fan. Putting Congressmen and Congresswomen in crosshairs and saying "don't retreat, reload" is irresponsible at best. If she had no evil intentions and didn't know enough to know it was irresponsible, that by itself proves she is too stupid to hold office, although i believe that fact was established long ago.

I tell you Thomas, I don’t agree with you…ever, but this time you brought a heartbreaking wry smile to me.

Wow...AntiDori says to Hood- "remove {these} nuisances".......how "liberally" tolerant, wanting to remove posters not because they advocate violence(none of us ever have) but because we don't caer to kiss the Seattle liba collective ass, and walk our own line. Maybe we shoul d start calling you lib fascists. The Nazis had a way of handling their "nuisances". Would you care to bring back the local "gassing trucks" from the Third Reich's glory days? The local neighborhood "nuisances" were rounded up and conveniently gassed right in the trucks, parked nearby.

i'm watching househunters international on hgtv. TheyRE lookign in Bulgaria. I'm willing to bet there is more political diversity and tolerance in Bulgaria than among the fascist libs and Nazi cyclists of Seattle. And you can buy a contry house for $30,000 U.S.D.
