KS

Agreed, the Repub party is on the bubble because of their big government spending under Bush and the statist media-disparged Tea Party is in the process of giving them an enema - LOL.

If they get the majority in Congress (one or both houses) and don't produce for the people they represent and halt the Obamanites by 2012, the party may get blown to smithereens ala Yosemite Sam and be rebuilt from the ground up.

The '60's radicals have coopted the Democratic Party and a number of them are going to be thrown out of office - for the good of the party and the country. One book that is applicable on BW; "Arguing with Idiots" - that will frost the usual suspects especially after they know who its written by. LMAO...

Puget Sound

good points, KS
the Andrews of this world don't get how fractured the people are that oppose the current administration.
Eisenhower, after dealing with recalcitrant Repubs, genuinely talked of a third party and maybe we'll see a viable one in our lifetime.
Let the Evangelicals go. Let the Big Spenders go.
Get back to the Goldwater principles.
BTW, some idiot tossed a book at our President today. I hope he gets the book thrown at him and gets an appropriate term in the hoos-cow. (anyone seen Coils lately?...I'm just saying he's been upset at Pres Obama failure to go further left...)

Chucks

The strength in the growth of The TEA Party has a great deal to do with Bush spending like a drunken democrat. The criminal conduct of Peelosi, Reid and Obama in stealing from our grand kids to fund their vote purchasing schemes and scams is what pushed us over the edge.
We are democrats, Republicans, Independents and Libertarians that have come together to get government under control. We are fucking up the democrats today as they are the ones controlling (or not controlling) the purse strings right now. We are giving the Republicans control this year. If they don't get spending under control, we will screw them up more next time.

Chucks

Oh yes, by the way. Andrew, take your "it's for the children" meme and shove it up your ass. That is as old as the "you are racist" bullshit that is so loosely thrown around.
You people need new cons and jingles to whine over.
Where is Curly Turd?

KS

Puts, Seems like the secret service should be called on the carpet for allowing the book throwing to happen. Apparently, the book just missed the POTUS (from a photo on the Drudge Report) and he didn't react probably because he was too focused on reading the teleprompter.

Ph(J)oanie and Ecoli are disappointed because O doesn't go farther left - they are left over 60's raidcals that plead insanity. If the religious right stays around, they need to understand that they cannot legislate and will be drowned out by more pressing issues, and the neo-cons need to be ushered out and into the Democratic party if they believe we should stay in Iraq and Afghanistan beyond 2012.

Puget Sound

Chucks makes a great point. IF Andrew is so concerned with the children, how come he shows such little concern with saddling them with the debt.
No, see in Andrews world view it's okay to run up a tab and then hand it to a future generation.
Talk about selfish.

KS, I hope the Secret Service figures out a way to stop this. Today it is a book, one can imagine it be a lot worse. We need to keep our President safe from these cretins...btw, where is E-Coli?

KS

As I told Andrew (bubble boy) earlier "If you really cared, you wouldn't spew the baseless bullshit that you do that is hypocritical..."

Chucks nailed it above about where to store it and being selfish.
I see that Andrew has commented on other posts but has avoided this one today. No doubt that the usual suspects + multiple personality (BR, tres a**holes, et.al.) are working up another cluster whine. This has become like shooting fish in a barrel...

Puget Sound

Chucks talked about this earlier, but it is worth refreshing.

"ABC News' Sunlen Miller reports:

When President Obama sits down for his MTV town hall this Thursday, the audience of young people who will ask him questions will have been gathered by a casting call.

According to the casting call for the event from talent agency Backstage.com, first reported by National Review Online, the company requests applications for the event, asking what issues the person is “passionate about,” requiring a “short description of your political views,” and also asks for a recent photo.

“MTV, BET and CMT are casting the audience for town hall meeting with President Obama. Shooting Oct. 14, 4 p.m. in Washington, D.C. Seeking—Audience Members: males & females, 18+,” the casting call says, “To ensure that the audience represents diverse interests and political views, include your name, phone number, hometown, school attending, your job and what issues, if any, you are interested in or passionate about. Also, provide a recent photo and short description of your political views.”

No Doubt, this will allow the President's handlers to cue up the Teleprompter meme to the preselected topics.

Hope and Change? Smoke and Mirrors is more like it.
LMAO...

Andrew

Democrats are saddling children with debt? Clinton left with a record surplus. Bush left with a record defecit. And for what? Tax cuts for the rich that were supposed to boost the economy.. which subsequently went into a recession.

You guys either make no sense at all, or you post paragraph after paragraph of profane garbage unbecoming of an adult, like "shove it up your ass". I can't be bothered to read through all this drivel.

Puget Sound

Get a clue, Andrew.
Clinton did not leave us with a record surplus. We still had a fairly large national debt. What Clinton had -thanks to the cut back in defense spending (recall the 'peace dividend');Internet Bubble; and the go-go economy derived from the Republican Congress- was surplus annual budgets towards the end of his second term. But in no way was the national debt paid off.

Look, Bush spent a lot. He will rightfully be critiqued for same. But he is overshadowed by the spending of Obama.

Get a clue, Andrew. Get a clue.

Puget Sound

By the way, Andrew, for the amount of education you are getting from me and KS you should be thankful.

Of course, the finishing school will be your lasting a month with Chucks selling RVs.

Puget Sound

KS
Mark Halperan who co wrote Game Changer on the 2008 Election -great book by the way- wrote an article for Time and you can see the handwriting 'may' be on the wall for a failed presidency. (hopefully he'll see the light and track to the center and worker with Speaker Boehner ala Clinton/Gingrich)

Here is the first paragraph:

"Barack Obama is being politically crushed in a vise. From above, by elite opinion about his competence. From below, by mass anger and anxiety over unemployment. And it is too late for him to do anything about this predicament until after November's elections.

With the exception of core Obama Administration loyalists, most politically engaged elites have reached the same conclusions: the White House is in over its head, isolated, insular, arrogant and clueless about how to get along with or persuade members of Congress, the media, the business community or working-class voters. This view is held by Fox News pundits, executives and anchors at the major old-media outlets, reporters who cover the White House, Democratic and Republican congressional leaders and governors, many Democratic business people and lawyers who raised big money for Obama in 2008, and even some members of the Administration just beyond the inner circle."

KS

I can't be bothered to read through all this drivel.

Posted by: Andrew | October 11, 2010 at 03:55 PM

LMAO ! But you did and you will continue to do so. Get a clue... Do you think the President is acting like an adult ? A poor excuse for an adult, more like a petulant 10-year old, even though he is almost 50. He lied and whined about the Chamber of Commerce soliciting foreign donations, which turned out to be a bogus charge, as reported by the NY Times. Furthermore as stated from Mark Halperin, a Democrat -"With the exception of core Obama Administration loyalists, most politically engaged elites have reached the same conclusions: the White House is in over its head, isolated, insular, arrogant and clueless about how to get along with or persuade members of Congress, the media, the business community or working-class voters."

However, those who throw books at him should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. If there is a disagreement with the POTUS, it should be carried out respectfully and he and the existing Congress be repudiated at the ballot box...

Puget Sound

The ironic thing is that if the usual suspects had only listened to Duffman they would have supported Hillary Clinton.
Say what you will, she undoubtedly would be a better choice then the current President. Moreover, she would have not turned over her mandate to Speaker Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Reid.
And, she would have used her political capital to work on the economy. AS her husband put it so many years ago, 'it's the economy stupid.'

BlackRhino

Wow, looks like I struck a nerve. Poor re-bump-la-kins. Just as ugly as the baggers. I guess Putz still has that crap sandwich taste in his mouth. Sounds as if he shared with KS and Chuck S.

Puget Sound

the only nerve you strike is the funny bone, BR.

just one question: AFTER the Nov Election when the House is retaken (the Senate is too much to count on) will you still be posting or will it be time to shed that persona?

KS

Mrs. Clinton would have been a better POTUS and would have handled the economy better and kept a shorter leash on Pelosi and Reid. I am not sure though how she would have handled HC Reform -if it had passed, it would have been a better bill - it could not have been any worse.

It's the Dems and the usual suspects that will be eating the big crap sandwich on Nov. 3rd, but no remorse here - they will have brought it all on themselves. Maybe some of them will even learn from this experience though - there's always an opportunity for redemption.

Puget Sound

that's right, KS.
On Nov 3, the Dems will be eating the crap sandwhich while you, me, and Chucks have some popcorn whilst the Dims go nuts screaming 'fraud' or blame it on karl rove.

btw, unless Pres Obama mends his ways he will be a one-termer.

1) stop whining
2) stop blaming bush
3) stop carping about 'fox news' it makes the president look small
4) ignore your progressive base

ks feel free to add on.

BlackRhino

Putz,

Well, I won’t be making any shit eating predictions, like someone we know. I’ve read the posts of the past and understand your frustration. You were and are being taken to task for brainless posts. But your reaction is to attack your critics and not the criticism. But it is an odd analysis you make. You seem to declare you’re angry that someone from the past is kicking your ass again or you’re expressing, here is another in a long line of ass kickers yet again. Your choice.

BlackRhino

Hey Andrew, the thing about the town hall, they are lying again.

BlackRhino

Not a question to me about the town hall thing, Putz? You know I have the truth.

Take a close look at Putz’s post (above) and the original post I have pasted below. Interestingly, Putz has left the email address out of the post. If you don’t believe me. I have linked the web page above.

Why should we trust AP ? It appears they fucked up and used the wrong preposition. Drudge's account includes the photo. Look at the photo, tres assholes - it was a bad shot and looks like it was thrown at him.

The bottom line is that is was unacceptable and whoever did it should be prosecuted...

I don't give a shit whether the town hall thing is real or not. I'm interested in results. I'm pleased with the health care reforms, because while they're not perfect, they lay ground work towards more perfect solutions. I'm also pleased with the consumer protection bills that have been passed. Go ahead, have your fake town hall. I don't care.

of course, no one was trying to hide the mtv reference.
the issue is, why would they be casting for a townhall?
get a clue. it's on behest of the white house.

poor BR, got tired of being beaten about the head in the past under one of the other 'handles' so reinvents himself as 'BR'
LMAO.

BlackRhino

Pitiful doge Putz, “why would they be casting for a townhall? ” if you didn’t know the answer to that question you wouldn’t have edited the text. Poor Putz, trapped in your own snare.

Well I’ll give you a little credit. When I first seen the original letter posted by the baggers, they didn’t have the foresight to edit that part. At least you thought ahead.

KS

BR, dual, tres a**holes - You discuss the MTV town hall where they are recruiting Obama-bots lacking critical thinking skills, but of all ethnicities (dumbed down politically and diverse in outward appearance). You get absorbed in minutia about what PS posted - you need ridlin besides your regular meds.

Prediction: This telecast will turn out to an insult to the intelligence and more evidence of the cultural putrification oozing out of your TV set to most Americans - no big surprise.

Andrew

Whether or not Obama wins or loses in 2012 will have nothing to do with this superficial controversy, or "nontroversy" as I like to say. It will have nothing to do with the fact that he reads from teleprompters, or that his dad was from Kenya, or because of something Michelle Obama did. It will be decided on whether people feel like they're in a better place than they were in 2008, and the answer will almost certainly be yes.

BlackRhino

Get a grip, KS you're embarrassing yourself.

HP

The International Association of Fire Fighters labor union has a new ad in the West Virginia Senate race, hitting back at the now-infamous ad from the National Republican Senatorial Committee that was produced outside the state, using a casting call for "hicky" looking actors. And this new ad features blue-collar guys boasting that they're real firefighters, and they're actually from West Virginia!

One firefighter declares: "I'm a Huntington firefighter. And like Joe Manchin, West Virginia is my home."

Another: "I'm a Dunbar firefighter. Joe Manchin doesn't hire Philadelphia actors to play hicks in his ads."

And another: "I'm a Charleston firefighter, and I heard Florida John Raese got a tax break on his Palm Beach mansion."

As a point of clarification, it wasn't Raese who put up the ad featuring "hicky" actors to show West Virginia voters that he was on their side. It was the national Republicans, who have said that the casting call was produced through a subcontractor without their approval.

Andrew

Frankly it doesn't matter who asks what. All that matters here is what Obama says. People will want to hear explanations as to why things aren't quite as they expected. He will either deliver the goods or he won't. Everything else is meaningless.

And the risk of something going wrong with a random audience is probably far worse than the bad press of hand picking the audience. Remember the lady who said "I'm tired of defending you" and "I'm deeply disappointed"? I'm sure the disingenuous conservative hacks on this forum would LOVE for that to happen again.

The Obamanites are too chickenshit to not handpick the audience. The liberal progressives have been getting major mileage out of feeding the public propaganda crap sandwiches and give us gangsta' government.

Have it your way, Andy boy - the libtards are the only ones who won't see through this maneuver.

Andrew

You say chickenshit, I say it's good politics

Republicans have been staging things for years--the "mushroom cloud" scare tactics as an excuse to invade Iraq, the WMDs, and the laundry list of reasons we were "really" there; the teabaggers bussed in by the corporate masters.

Will Ann Coulter finally be held accountable for having committed voter fraud? We may find out on October 14th when the matter will come up at a public hearing by Connecticut's State Elections Commission after an extraordinarily long two-year delay since the complaints about her allegedly illegal absentee votes in 2002 and 2004 were filed.
The statute of limitations ran out on her alleged voter fraud in Florida, but official complaints were filed in 2009 --- by a conservative activist --- that she also committed absentee voter fraud in the years prior to moving to Florida, when she allegedly voted illegally from her residence in New York, there is no such statute of limitations for voter fraud. In Coulter's Connecticut case, the fraud in question occurred in 2002 and again in 2004 when she lived in New York City but apparently voted as still registered at her parents address.
