Andrew

I can't think of any liberal politicians using hunting metaphors to describe how they're going to defeat their political opponents, telling them to "take aim" or use "second ammendment remedies". The conservative party is definately unhinged right now, but we all knew this would happen when a black American won the presidency two years ago. These simpletons can only be pushed so far before they lose composure.

Puget Sound

It's so predictable to hear a desperate Dem they always have to pull out the race card. Usually right before you hear it the flop sweat appears on the brow. Andrew, you actually harm minorities when you use it inappropriately.

Democrat Congressman John Conyers recently said the lame duck Congress will investigate Karl Rove.

“I don’t want to go back into history,” Conyers said, “but Karl Rove is at it again and I think we ought to take a new look at him based on the fact that when we were deciding what to do with him he was out doing more mischief and so I think that calls for a re-investigation of him….”

LMAO. Mischief? How about an inept Dem House and Senate that are now being held to account and the answer to that is what? Investigate Karl Rove.

Stay Classy Dems, it will all be over soon.

Tebo

Predictable is the babble from conservatives who have nothing to offer but the same failed agenda to a public that suffers from media induced amnesia to how we arrived to this broken hollowed out America we live in today. Puget Sound you need to take a swim in your own fowled waters of " filth."

gdog

Hey, if "put" everything in "quotations," does that "imbue" more "meaning" into whatever "garbage" I "type?" Does that make me "cool" or more "knowledgeable"?
Does it mean that anyone who "reads" this slows down to "emphasize" the "irony" in my "quotationed" "words?"

gorkri

The most lame phrase you hear in the "lamestream" (go ahead and pick apart this quotation mark) is "both sides do it"

Fremont

What are you talking about, Dog? Where are the "mis-quotationed" words? Wrong blog, Fido?

KS

"Predictable is the babble from conservatives who have nothing to offer but the same failed agenda to a public that suffers from media induced amnesia to how we arrived to this broken hollowed out America we live in today. Puget Sound you need to take a swim in your own fowled waters of " filth."

Typical liberal progressive/neo-com invective - all flatulence and no substance. Nothing but extremist bullcrap. You are afraid to discuss the left's failed agenda. Is that all you've got ?

KS

Consider this: The larger the government becomes, the smaller the individual becomes.

(A unwritten law of human nature)

Andrew

"Consider this: The larger the government becomes, the smaller the individual becomes."

Conversely, the smaller the government becomes, the larger corporations, special interests, and class distinctions become.

Also not a Witch

If elected, the Republicans will release thousands of mouse-human hybrids.
These hybrids will use 'Second Amendment remedies' to first overthrow the government. A single hybrid will then force your daughter to bear the child of her rapist (their Republican daddy). A second large swarm of hybrids are then coming for your job, Medicare and Social Security. After a review by a hybrid death panel, they will leave your grandma dead and your headless torso in the deserts of Arizona.

gorkri

Ah, Libertaian paradise.

gorkri

Whoops, thats Libertarian paradise.

KS

Conversely, the smaller the government becomes, the larger corporations, special interests, and class distinctions become.

How so ? Bush was not small government and under Reagan it wasn't even that small, so there goes a big chunk of your argument. Those smell like brainwashed/dumbed down progressivist talking points. That's because big government has made you and others seems very small, but useful idiots are always welcome to the proletariat.

Andrew

Oh, by small government you mean they don't provide health care, meaning big HMOs call all the shots. By small government you mean minimal tax codes, minimal regulation meaning the poor are overworked and receive less pay and the rich accumulate all the wealth.

Small government simply means bigger business. At least with a big government the ordinary man can vote. With a big corperation only the wealthiest stock holders get a vote.

Andrew

Even more alarming about the "let the free market work it's magic" mindset is that publicly traded corporations have a duty to act in a way that is central to profit, so if you relax regulations meant to protect the environment, the corperation are obligated to put profits first, so if there's a formerly protected swamp by a facotry and a corpertion wishes to make it bigger, they have a duty to drain that swamp and ruin the ecology to fulfill their obligation to act in the best interest of the share holder and not the greater public or future generations.

Don't believe me? Look at the disaster in the Gulf of Mexico, or drilling in Arctic Alaska. If not for the good grace of governmental regulation, we could have our own toxic floods running through local valies, killing hundreds of precious taxpayers.

saintrudy

Is history repeating itself?

The Nazis used Hitler Youth and the Brown Shirts to disrupt meetings and block information.

The Republicans have Tea Party members and the Filibuster.

The Nazis debased the “Jews” as inferior and should be eradicated.

The Republicans target Muslims as terrorists who should be held without trial.

The Nazis persecuted gays as abnormal and morally repugnant.

The Republicans don’t think gays are worthy to serve in the military or to marry.

The Nazis labeled the Gypsies as thieves and criminals.

The Republicans want to block immigration and deport Latinos

The Nazis believed Aryans were the chosen ones and that all others were inferior.

The Republicans have used redistricting and other voter restrictions to repress the black and minority vote.

The Nazis euthanized the mentally ill and physically or mentally handicapped.

The Republicans want to deny health care to the vulnerable, those with pre-existing conditions and the poor.

The Nazis used the lie that Poland was preparing to attack them to launch blitzkrieg on the Polish Nation.

The Republicans used the lie of weapons of mass destruction to attack Iraq.

The Nazis used Joseph Goebbels “Big Lie” and Hans Hinkel’s propaganda to advance their agenda.

The Republicans use Fox News, Limbaugh, Hannity and Beck to spread their lies.

They both operate on the premises that a lie repeated often enough becomes the truth.

In view of todays political climate, read your history and be careful of what you wish for.

Andrew

Those comparisons are weak. And what's the point? Who do you think you're going to win over with that?

Puget Sound

Poor Andrew, forced to live all these years in this hell we call America.

Andrew, people risk life and limb to come to this amazing country for the opportunity to enjoy Liberty and the Fruits of Capitalism.

Really, you do need to get out and travel a bit.

KS

I see by his comments that Andrew dislikes free market systems. With smaller government (not radically smaller though), I support a doctor-patient payment system, with the HMO's having a more diminished role and no single payer health care - if you want that, move to Canada or the UK.

Daily KOS and Media Matters talking points - they project themselves well and you parrot that garbage. How do you like being a useful idiot for the Obama regime and the neo-coms ? What a dolt !

BlackRhino

Hey Putz, I don’t get it. Your retort to Andrew’s contention, government needs to regulate free markets, is he needs to travel? To where Peoria? Maybe the steel towns of the east or the coal mines of the Blue Ridge can learn him a lesion or two.

Come on, all you got is character pop shots?

sparky

yes.

Puget Sound

BR, only you would advising a young man with a fairly limited world view to travel is taking a shot.
Now don't go 'usual suspect' on me. Take a step back and consider that one way to evolve from a cartoonish view of this country is to travel a bit.

Puget Sound

Jeez, those Dims must really be getting desperate. From the Associated Press:

"New Jersey Tea Party candidate was a Democratic plant, report says
By AP

CAMDEN COUNTY — Democratic leaders in southern New Jersey recruited a fake Tea Party candidate to try to draw votes away from a Republican challenger in the 3rd District congressional race, according to a report in the Courier-Post of Cherry Hill.

Several Democratic operatives who spoke to the newspaper on the condition of anonymity detailed how the campaign of first-term Democratic U.S. Rep. John Adler ran the petition drive and are running a campaign for picture framer Peter DeStefano.

Polls show that Adler is in a tight race against Republican challenger Jon Runyan. DeStefano, Adler and top officials in Adler’s campaign did not immediately return calls or e-mails from the AP this morning.

Previously, they have denied Republicans’ accusations that DeStefano was a plant."

Stay Classy Dims...oh wait, first we'll trot out the 'racist' claim and then work up to the 'rigged elections.'

BlackRhino

I’ve traveled ‘round this blue planet and back. I’d advise anyone to do the same. I’ve met some immigrants aching for the chance to craw form beneath the boot of authoritarians.
They don’t come here to become our personal slaves. They come here for the opportunity to realize a modicum of success with the aid of legal protection provided to allow for that success. If you allow corporate greed to become the final arbitrator for fairness we now know which side they will align. And it doesn’t take travel to realize this truth. Just experience and a bit of fair judgment.

BlackRhino

The Couric interview is not a be all end all to qualifications as VP. I watched it and she did well enough to get by.

Putz,
I see you have labeled me one of the ‘usual subjects’. Ohhh, I have to toil the days in and out with that moniker. Ooohhhh me oh my.

By the way I see you have been labeled one of the ‘unusual of subjects’. Is this because you have a cleft lip or hammer toes? I jest…but here’s a blast from your past.

BR - payback is a bitch. The current regime has scared the shit out of almost everyone except the far left and the African American community - The polls universally point to a blowout by the GOP - they may even take the Senate. All the GOP has done so far has been united in opposing the big government policies and an avalanche of accumulating debt.

The people have perceived that unchecked power by the attempt at a hostile takeover by the Democratics is dangerous and it must be checked by the opposition to keep us from becoming a banana republic. It can be said that the Tea-baggers or the Tea party movement have led the way in exposing this very real fear that is threatening the republic. (my own words - not Limbaugh's, Beck or Dennis Miller's).

I could be wrong here, but I have a strong sense of a tsunami coming to sweep out the incumbents (mostly Democratics) on November 2nd. The GOP had better redeem itself if they find themselves in power otherwise they Republican party as it is today will not exist by the next election.

BlackRhino

Yea, my guess is you are wrong. There will be a moderate gain, which you will categorize as a tremendous gain. Not admitting the democrats with their right wing only had a majority in name only. And if the gains don’t materialize, you’ll not mention the lack of an increase at all.

An example;

this may turn out to be a Repub year for the Whitehouse. Hmmm..., you'll have to let us know how that crap-sandwhich is gonna taste come November.

Posted by: Puget Sound | August 29, 2008 at 09:02 AM

Hey Putz, how’d that crap sandwich taste?

KS

Time will tell, but I'll stick to my prediction think that the Dems will be up by 2 or 3 in the Senate and down by a bunch in the House, when the smoke clears. You are ignoring the fact that the mood has swung almost 180-degrees since 2008 - the pendulum is coming from the opposite direction, in case you have been vacationing in outer space since then and a lot of excrement has hit the fan since then.

The clincher is the current 10.1% (courtesy of Gallup) unemployment rate (not the 9.6% that the Government stated but forgot to count all of the jobs lost) - In the words of James Carville - it's the economy, stupid !

BlackRhino

How in the world do you know what I’m thinking? I never told you or this site what would happen in the current election cycle. This is a reviling moment for you KS, your ideology reviled by your assumptions. You don’t care about the fair trade of ideas. You want to push your ideological view. You’re a sorry case of dumb masquerading as…a fart bubble.

By the way;

I won’t contend Putz has run and hide which Putz contends others have done in the past, but I wonder why Putz has not responded. Cut and run by an unusual suspect? I dare not wonder the why.

KS

BR- Too funny !!! Do you realize how paranoid you come across as, besides talking through your ass ? Get back on your meds. You are a piece of work besides being mental, and I suspect you are an imposter of many names, WTF is your problem ? Can't handle opinions that differ from yours ? How about some cheese with your whine...

You said this; "Yea, my guess is you are wrong. There will be a moderate gain, which you will categorize as a tremendous gain. Not admitting the democrats with their right wing only had a majority in name only. And if the gains don’t materialize, you’ll not mention the lack of an increase at all."

Besides being incoherent, it looks like you have a multiple personality disorder. Western State is looking for you...

BlackRhino

Huh? What is the logic in this post?
You forgot this part; your thoughts are like a fart bubble. Funny how you cut out the criticism.
By the way, why isn’t PS responding??? Maybe I have a point you can’t conceive. Oh well, dingle berry’s just hang on with no clue.

KS

Whatever... your credibility is nil due to your unpredictable and illogical nonsense you spew forth.

The only point you have is the one on the tip of your tin foil hat. Western State is calling you...

BlackRhino

I understand you’re lost. But where are your buddies? Left you to fend for yourself?

Andrew

Thanks for the posts BlackRhino, very entertaining.

KS

I understand that you are lonely and feeling unwanted, but it will be alright. Now take your meds and go to bed and it will be better in the morning if you wake up. later.

BlackRhino

I strive to entertain, but your post met the mark. Touché to you Andrew.

Hey KS, your hero PJ, was on the Maher show tonight. Anyone wondering where KS is coming from please watch. Not that PJ is appalling, but KS takes him seriously. Look for PJ’s excuse for Nazism.

KS says "I see by his comments that Andrew dislikes free market systems. With smaller government (not radically smaller though), I support a doctor-patient payment system, with the HMO's having a more diminished role and no single payer health care - if you want that, move to Canada or the UK. "

Why do conservatives always tell people they disagree with to move to Europe? Fuck you, this is my home to. Why don't you move to South America and work some of your free market magic and see how it goes over with the locals?

It strikes me as wildly unpatriotic of you to want to put the health of innocent children at the mercy of their parent's financial fortunes. I'm shocked and outraged that you'd let a sick kid die at your feet just because his parent's were laborers on contract amd couldn't afford steep medical premiums. You say charity is the answer, you say "go over there and beg those people for help." It says to me that you're in this for yourself and the people in your social circle, and you don't really care about America or Americans in the broader sense. Maybe you really are the one who should leave.

You mean the lady who is marching across America like General Sherman through Atlanta? Both -I might add- slaying Democrats in the process.

So yeah, given what she is doing to unelect Dims it's working pretty good.

Puget Sound

I dare not wonder the why.

Posted by: BlackRhino | October 08, 2010 at 10:03 PM

yeah, that damn social life gets in the way of posting.

Puget Sound--for BR

But I guess if you're asking how that Nov 2008 Crap Sandwich tasted, then the answer is not so good.
Fortunately KS, Chucks, myself and others have plenty of 'Voter-Tea' to wash it down here in Nov 2010...that stuff is so potent it is washing away the nasty Dims with no after taste. Miracle stuff.

But hey, you still got the fellow with the Teleprompter going for you. If he couldn't get stuff through with veto proof majorities how will he fare when he has to deal with a Republican House. I guess he won't be using that 'I won. Elections have consequences' in your face Chicago style line so much.

But check out the latest CNN Poll which shows Barrack and Bush within the margin of error in terms of popularity.
Geez, only took Pres Obama 24 months to burn through all that goodwill...

Shut up - Andrew. Stop putting words in other people's mouths. Are you playing stupid and ignorant or is that for real ? You type before engaging your brain which results in idiotic blather.

Don't go foisting Obamacare and single payer health care on those who don't want it - that's why I say to you move to Canada or the UK if you want single payer, because it won't happen here because Obama-losi care will be ruled unconstitutional.
Obama-losi care is clearly worse than what there was before because the a-holes in Congress that rammed it through against the will of the people.

Free markets will stay here, so as you dislike free markets, take your fecal head ideology and kindly stick it where the sun don't shine, Andrew - because Mr. Obama will be run out of DC in 2012, no matter who is in control after this election.

"It strikes me as wildly unpatriotic of you to want to put the health of innocent children at the mercy of their parent's financial fortunes. Liar, that totally misrepresents my position and you don't know what you are talking about. GOP ideas were totally rejected here and back room deal making and corruption tainted this bill which is a giant cluster schtook. It is worse than single payer ! It will take a bipartisan and honest effort to revamp this mess and improve, not worsen the quality of health care in the future. For the sake of all Americans, this health care travesty must be rejected !

It's all Andrew's got. Misrepresentations and the slur of 'racist' at conservatives.
We've seen this movie before.
He's just following the road well worn by his intellectually bankrupt fellow travelers.
The sad part is that for awhile I thought he was smarter than this. You would think that the rants of ph(J)oanie would be a cautionary tale.

KS

PS - Ph(J)oanie has been mysteriously silent, but that serenity will soon be broken - my trick knee is telling me this. Andrew can rant on without using any common sense and boast of his intellectually bankruptcy, but when he lies about what others say, that crosses the line and its time to call him on his jackassery.

I have also seen the Black Rhino show before - cast previously as rozkat, m steele or tres assholes (LOL). Western State is still looking for him.

Puget Sound

spot on, ks. of course, when BR posted as 'Tres Assholes' he was using his real name...

"Conservative talk show host Glenn Beck told his radio audience on Friday that he will be taking a leave of absence next week to deal with medical issues surrounding an unknown ailment.

Within the past year Beck has told his audience about possibly losing his eye sight and most recently losing feeling in his feet and hands.

“They are going under every rock. There is a physical reason. But I believe that physical, mental, and spiritual are all tied. You can’t injure the soul of someone and not have physical wounds appear eventually. It’s just something I believe in, now you may not believe in that, but I do. A lot of physical things, a lot of mental things are from spiritual wounds and vice versa.”

Cup of Joe is a program set up by progessives who want to let soldiers know that even though we are personally against the war, we never waiver in our support for THEM. It is 2$ per cup of really good coffee ( not mess hall swill ) and you can send as little or as much as you can afford. I sent $60 to buy 30 cups of coffee and have received thank you notes each week--the soldiers are encouraged to email a note back to us. I have even been invited to be pen pals with a couple of them. The coffee bars are set up in both Iraq and Afghanistan, and I got a thank you message from Guam today, too.

It breaks my heart to read a couple of the notes from the men who have come to realize that we are never going to change the minds of the Afghanies, but keep their heads down and do their jobs as best as they can.

It is a very rewarding program all the way around.

Posted by: sparky | October 09, 2010 at 01:11 PM

Sparky, that is a very nice thing of you to do.

Not many people do this, but if you are around for the holidays, consider inviting some service people over to your home to share the Thanksgiving Holiday meal. Having a touch of home can really make their day. Being in the military generally means missing out on family holidays and having to spend them in the mess hall.
It can be a very rewarding experience for both sides.

Andrew

KS, you didn't actually respond to any of my points, you just typed up lots of profanities.

Anwser to the charge: how can you be a patriot while allowing less fortunate Americans to twist in the wind, especially children? Answer to it, or admit what you are.

And please stop with the "Obama/Pelosi will be out in 2012", BlackRhino already humiliated putz by posting comments he made about Obama losing in 2008. You're both totally pathetic and I thought I'd take a moment just to let you know.
