It's one of their manipulation tactics. Ever wonder why they do a solid week of begging instead of begging for a few minutes every day? Because they want you to get hooked on soft spoken, commercial free radio so they can tear the carpet out from under your feet and leave you with panick withdrawal. They say "the drive will go on until we reach our goal" essentialy blackmailing the listeners. If you ever want to hear All Things Considered again you'll pick up the phone and agree to our demands. Pay up, or your favorite radio program gets one in the head.

Compare and contrast, Schram is talking about the breaking news regarding the body found in Bellingham. Dori is devoting the full hour to state employees coming out of the closet, and he's outraged for reasons which aren't entirely clear. Breaking news, or homophobic obsession? How do you take your talk radio?
