It's come to a point where conservative's most distinguishing characteristic is their mass ignorance.
The right has broken into a lot of smaller ice burgs lately. You have the libertarians, the racists, the evangelicals, the crazies, a group that follows Sarah Palin wherever she goes, etc. There is no conservative voice, no leadership, except maybe professional golfer John Boner, who doesn't seem to speak for any one particular group. The only thing all these little divisions have in common is mass ignorance and gullibility. They'll believe anything as long as it plays to their fears and racism. You could suggest that Obama is a vampire and polls would show that some conservatives believe Obama is a vampire. How do you defend this obvious ignorance?
Yes, the great news is Clint Didler won't endorse Rossi unless he pledges to take an unequivocal stand against abortion, take a no-new-taxes pledge and promise not to increase federal spending.
I don't know much about Didler but refusing to endorse a candidate whos stances differ from your own make perfect sense. I'm happy to see that they aren't "carrying the water" for eachother as Rush did for Bush even though he claims he didn't truly believe in what Bush was doing.
Do you mean Paul J. Alinsky formerly of Sentinel Alarm? (I never thought George Goebbels was very funny. I think he was frequently drunk on Carson (Johnny, not Daly).)
It wouldn't be so bad if all the dumbshits in this country didn't have multi-billion dollar corporations spoon feeding them this propaganda. Rightwing ignorants used to be marginalized and never taken seriously (Eisenhower even called them "stupid"), but now they have power, in fact they now set the national discourse.
I used to think Bush was America hitting bottom, but now I see we've still got a ways to go.
Substitute powerful unions and large corporations for multi-billion dollar corporations and leftwing sycophants for rightwing ignorants and you have framed the concerns of over half of America.
Correction - concerns about the direction of this country that are rooted in reality - ~ 60% believe we are moving in the wrong direction, but evidently not in your utopia-make believe world. This pertains to the state of the union.
Americans in general are ignorant about outsiders and their religions and the media is doing us a disservice by feeding us half-baked stories because they believe they are above researching the facts. I don't subscribe to irrational anti-muslim rants where each practicing muslim is a terrorist - however I believe the religion definitely needs a reformation in the middle east and we don't need to fight any more wars over there.
Obama is not a Muslim. Where did Fox news claim Obama is a muslim ? show me... All they did was report the results of a poll that show 24% believe he is a muslim vs. 11% back in Jan 2009. The WH shot back with the caption on the screen that he is a "Christian" in their attempt to diminish the effect of said poll.
Not so fast. Those were only words of accusation. Where is the rest of the story, namely the evidence of said lie being told there ? Headlines and sound bytes are often manipulative and people are stupid to accept them without being curious about reading or hearing the rest of the story.
KS wrote: "The Fox news channel may have floated that rumor on Fox and Friends - a talk show, but it was not aired on any newscasts."
I think Brit Hume's Special Report a newscast.
"On Special Report, Brit Hume stated that Malik Obama, Sen. Barack Obama's half brother, "tells The Jerusalem Post that 'if elected his brother will be a good president for the Jewish people, despite his Muslim background.' " In fact, the article to which Hume was apparently referring indicated that Malik Obama did not speak directly with the Post but, rather, gave an interview to Israel's Army Radio. Moreover, nowhere in audio of the interview that ABC's Jake Tapper posted did Malik Obama assert that Obama "will be a good president for the Jewish people, despite his Muslim background.""

In the above example, not only is Brit Hume, News Man, trying paint Obama as a Muslim, he's outright lying about it.
How can conservatives accuse Obama of not doing enough to prove he's a Christian and simultaneously accusing him of being influenced by Reverend Wright, and keep a straight face? Stupid arguments aimed a stupid audience I guess.
Another no-brainer. Reverend Wright is not a Christian, Andy... He is a Black Liberationist and an ally of Farrakhan - the Muslim and before that he himself was a Black Muslim - look it up.
So what's your stupid argument ? Keep blaming Bush and the opposition - its wearing thin. There are certain things to blame them on, but this one is of Obama's doing- deal with it !

Who really knows what the guy is? He was born a Muslim, but raised a Christian by his grand parents. Does anybody know when and where he was baptised? Does anybody know, likewise when and where he renounced his muslimism?
Most of us in the 24% don't really think he is a muslim. It is just huge fun lighting up the libs by answering that way. It drives many of you beyond what nuts you already are to begin with.
So, Chuckie, folks like you would rather lie to anger people you disagree with than be honest and truthful. Wow, what character, what integrity... what morals rightwingers possess.
Ughh, what’s the problem with being a Muslim? I see him as smart, unflappable and a winner (crushed the GOPs nuts in his presidential run). If Muslim is perceived this way then the only folks who will complain are the jealous types( the GOP).
The problem with Obama being muslim is that our country is full of racists. Some say the conservative media mislead Americans into believing that Saddam was involved in 9-11, but the truth is that most Americans assumed that from the very beginning. When you've been raised on a diet of religion and movies, there's good guys and there's bad guys, and the bad guys usually have accents. If your skin is brown and you talk funny, you're a terrorist. Simplicity is what makes America great.
A divided country - the leftwing are hypocrites and skilled liars who call rightwing racists or even terrorists here.
As the current regime has fubar policies they take credit for, the Democratics are the ones who will get their nuts crushed in November. The last regime paid a price for bad policies in 2006 and similarly this one will pay a price in November.

You know what I want? I want Obama impeached, the healthcare bill defunded and 20 Democrats being investigated in the first session of Congress next year. That's why we need majorities in both houses. It won't be hard if we have both houses, and it could be done if we have the House alone.
This man must be stopped, and I no longer think that is impossible or even improbable. Obama is unpopular, the economy sucks and people are increasingly fearful. We've got his incompetence, the racial thing, the insecurity, the appeasement, and the sinking feeling that he's a Muslim. Even his own Party is sick of him and afraid of how he might stumble next. The stars are lined up. That's why this election this Fall is so important. If we play it right, we could get Biden running in 2012 instead of Hillary. Then it will be easy. Most any Republican could beat Joe.

Don't mock me. I have been lurking for awhile on this blog to understand it. My first post and I step right in it. Sorry.
I am just trying to support the true Liberals on this blog. Calling me lame doesn't help. I expect that from the conservatives who have put us in debt, in war, and in disarray.
I only use the term Teacher Aide as a form of solidarity with posters like Joanie.
Sorry for the poor spelling.

No, they're still called teacher's aides to this day.

Howard Zinn would be proud as he turns over in his grave.

what does Howard Zinn have to do with it?

I don't get it either.

"Howard Zinn" is the first name that popped into KS' mind. He could have spouted "Saul Alinsky" or "Karl Marx" or any other Fox-fed label that came to mind. He doesn't know sh*t about any of them.
