The Radio Equalizer prolific former Seattle KVI, KIRO talk host speaks authoritatively about radio.
Dori IS an armpit fart. He used to be a nice guy, maybe still is, but sad to see you have to be a "character" or "personality" and raise controvery to earn a living when in real life you really dont give a shit about the things you have to talk about. But thats radio when you choose to make it your career.
I listen to Curley for just about the same amount of time that I listen to Monson. Minutes only. Monson is the armpit fart preaching to the armpit fart choir.
On a different subject, Stephanie Miller just 'came out' on her show today. When will Frank Shiers and Michael Medved do the same?
I listened to a bit of Curley filling in for Dori and Dave...
He's much better when not paired with Mike West and the two of them giggle their way through the show.
I was quite surprised to hear the views of Nicole the "newspaper chick"...
I figured she would be a typical Seattle commie rag whiner.
She actually made some comments about government staying out of people's lives so much and individuals being able to make decisions for themselves.
Very refreshing.
Newspaper types are generally the worst...
I'll never forgive those dirt bags for the PI/Times strike.
Claiming it was "about respect" when striking is just a tactic to bully employers into paying more money.
Strikers don't have enough self respect to quit a job and go elseswhere when they don't think they make enough money.
Employers pay what they feel is fair for the job, if employees don't like it they don't have to work there.
Never the case for striker scum.
But yeah... Curley wasn't too bad.
I think he and/or anybody should replace Ron and Don.
Then KIRO could have adult listeners in the afternoon.
Dori will be back next week and the Blatherwatch crowd can go back to hanging on every little Dori word so they can pitch their screaming baby fits over it.
All of this while "accidentally listening" of course.
Rat_Bastard? Wouldn't be RatCity from the MyNorthwest blog would it? The 'accidental listener' stuff is garbage. Just more crap that you've been programed to spew. You are so gullible.
Occasionally Monson (the little prick) will propose a topic that I consider vile. I listen to gain ammunition against little pricks like him and the little pricks who listen to, and agree with him, like you.
It's kind of like cancer. In fact it's not 'like' cancer he/it is cancer. It's no fun, but you better keep an eye on it.
I also enjoy letting his advertisers know what kind of hateful crap they are paying for. I can't do that word for word without listening to the little prick from time to time. It turns my stomach some times, but it makes me feel like I'm helping to clean up the sewer that people like him have created.
You may now go back to humping your Glenn Beck doll. What is he wearing today?
John Curley makes a great fill in for Monson because he seems to lean right. He's vulgar, but tastefully so (said that poor people ride Gray Hound and are a lower quality of person), and he's generally and affable, easier listen. He doesn't even have a girl's name weighing down. And Curley is a waaaaay better fill in that Frank Shiers. I hope the suits are taking notice. If you have to have a rightwinger on KIRO, Curley isn't a bad way to go.

No, not the same Rat.
The accidental listener thing is what so many people who hate Dori say.
I believe that listening to a radio host you hate is more interesting than just a show you sort of like.
I'm sure many of Dori's loyal listeners despise him.
He's in the business of opinion and entertainment.
He obviously does it well.
You may now go back to humping your Glenn Beck doll. What is he wearing today?

Now, you listen up and you listen good!!!
I do not as you so eloquently put it... "Hump" my Glenn Beck doll.
We make sweet, SWEET love and to have some jack ass on a Commie blog try to demean our intimacy is disgusting!
Now... Don't you have a Greyhound bus to catch or something?
*(And my Glenn Beck doll is wearing his usual panties with the M&Ms on the crotch and pastry on the back)
John Curley did the Luke Burbank/dorky white guy "let me kiss the ass of the black hiphop guys " thing today by aping their language( he called Nicole Brodeur "Ma') not working John..... you're not going to make it on radio ....looks like vapid evening magazine tv shows are your speed and your "tops"....Curley replacing R and D ? what a joke....remember hwe this guy was accused of racist remarks an depithets by i think an Asian man?.....
That's the cool thing about John Curley; seems like a nice PC guy.. and then he unleashes salty, biased and hateful remarks without even batting an eye. That's what talk radio is all about anymore. I think he gets it.
There is nothing even remotely cool about Curley. If you want to hear inane banter about the host and co-host's lives..then he's your guy. There is absolutely no depth to this guy on any serious issue. He makes Don O'Neil sound like Edward R. Murrow.
KIRO grooming him as the Manchurian candidate.
Jeez...does Brodeur need a week to form a friggin opinion about something...talk about dead air.
I'd be interested to see the ratings this week. I'm not fond of John Curley but I also didn't tune in another station after 10 minutes. My biggest complaint about Dori is his terrorism stance ... example being, several times he stated you are with us or against us. I love it when some guy who sits in his lovely office and home tells me how to feel about September 11th. I'm sorry Dori, I lived it since my apartment was 2 miles from the Pentagon. I had tears in my eyes when I crossed over the Key Bridge going home that afternoon when I saw the smoke rising. My world changed ... the next morning, on 9-12 teabaggers, every traffic light had National Guard, Military, or Police stationed. And on the 1st 4th of July after, Patriot missiles was deployed in several spots in DC and Arlington. So Dori, don't tell me how to feel ... I lived it every day for 3 years.
KIROFM 97.3 Multi-format: news and nearly all local talk. This is where classic KIRO AM news talk radio went... hopefully, not to die. The home of Dave Ross & Luke Burbank, Dori Monson, Ron & Don, Frank Shiers, Bill Radke, Linda Thomas, Tony Miner and George Noory.
KUOW FM 94.9 Seattle's foremost public radio news and talk.
KVI am 570 KHz Visit the burnt-out husk of one of the seminal right-wing talkers in all the land. Here's where once trilled the reactionary tones of Rush Limbaugh, John Carlson, Kirby Wilbur, Mike Siegel, Peter Weissbach, Floyd Brown, Dinky Donkey, and Bryan Suits.
Now it's Top 40 hits from the '60's & '70's aimed at that diminishing crowd who still remembers them and can still hear.
KTTH am 770 KHz Right wing home of local, and a whole bunch of syndicated righties such as Glennn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, Michael Medved, Sean Hannity, Laura Ingraham, Lars Larsony, and for an hour a day: live & local David Boze.
KPTK am 1090 KHz Syndicated liberal talk. Stephanie Miller, Thom Hartmann, Ed Schultz, Randi Rhodes, Norman Goldman fill in the large hole to the left on Northwest radio dial.
KLFE AM 1590 kHz Syndicated right-wing 2nd stringers like Mark Levin, Bill Bennett, Mike Gallagher, Dennis Prager, Dennis Miller and Hugh Hewitt inhabit this timid-voiced neighbor honker for your radio enjoyment (unless you're behind something large like Costco).
KOMOAM News, traffic, Ken Schram and John Carlson.
any thing but Dori, Will he still be doing the Seahawks pregame? I hope not.

Christmas has come early this year.

Based on your assessment it looks like you've over estimated yourself. The screen name Gerbil_Boy may be more fitting.
