It was no “faux pas” when Rush Limbaugh described dead Yankee owner George Steinbrenner a "cracker who made a lot of African-American millionaires."
A faux pas is a “false step,” a mistake, a blunder. The big fat idiot and most successful broadcaster of all time doesn’t make those on the radio.
It was a two-fer. He attached his name to the death of a famous guy getting his last headlines, and he got to bang the race bell.
It’s all very intentional, and it works. Rush says things like that to walk the race line, to hook his name in the media to Steinbrenner’s (who had to kick-off to get it); to encourage the millions of white geezers who love him that he’s a courageous truth-teller in a politically correct world. He’s made millions complaining for years that any black success is not because of merit, but because of the advantages “Magic Negroes” have unfairly gained by affirmative action, and liberal white politicians.
Rush says President Obama and RNC President Michael Steele were elected to their offices because they're black. And his remarks about black athletes go way back.
"They're interested in black coaches and black quarterbacks doing well," he said during a discussion of PHILADELPHIA EAGLES quarterback DONOVAN MCNABB. "I think there's a little hope invested in MCNABB, and he got a lot of credit for the performance of his team that he really didn't deserve."Limbaugh, a Southerner of a certain age, is more than a little race-obsessed, but he’s brilliant enough to make portraying the country through a racial lens pay."Look, let me put it to you this way: the NFL all too often looks like a game between the Bloods and the Crips without any weapons. There, I said it," he said in 2007.
He deftly walks a fine line, making remarks just racial enough to get headlines in Drudge, and howls from such as Al Sharpton, and Keith Olbermann, but head nods from old white male dittoheads frightened by how the racial curve is bending.
It's the very essence of Rush’s schtick, and he makes more than a $100 million a year.
It also serves the Tea Party baggers who have built a mini-movement around suchIt won’t work forever, of course, because the racially diversifying demographics will swamp these old farts in due time. Rush will do just fine for the rest of his career.
Just know, though: what Rush says is no misspeak, no slip of the tongue that would demand an apology.
That it’s calculated and self-serving, makes how Rush Limbaugh makes his living all the more immoral, and disgusting.
Of course, Steinbrenner also made millionaires out of a lot of whites and Latinos, and even a couple of Japanese guys, but Rush doesn't care about that. And he used the talents of those athletes to take a team he bought for something like $8 million and turn it into a billion-dollar empire. Does Limbaugh have a problem with free enterprise if it involves Negroes?

Negroes are not capable of success in the free markets without assistance or subsidies of whites in government.
What happens to failures in the free markets? They're eliminated. That's what Limbaugh is insinuating for his scared shitless dittoheads.
In the end it will be scared shitless dittoheads who will fail in the free markets.
They shouldn't worry, we're progressives, we'll be forgiving and compassionate.

I hope Rush's heart fails.

I heard last night that his investment in buying the Yankees was $165,000. I cant find anything in the Googles about it.

that's as racist as the NAACP.

Well um what does affirmative action have to do with the success of black players in baseball?

there's a greedy money pig like Limbaugh who has a huge garage full of Maybach's at 500k a pop, and then there's well Paul the "double rainbow" youtube video guy, interviewed by Ron and Don today. Youtube offored him roughly a million dollars to put ads on his video page on youtube. He turned it down. He lives on about 5000 dollars a year.

It takes approx. 4 months to hand make a Maybach. I have not ridden in one yet, but will. My neighbor kids manager has one. Fucking Hollywood liberal cock sucker that he is. Cool cars. Rush has great taste in cars. Limbaugh's car cost him less than 1/2 of 1 per cent of his annual income. What kind of car would that get you Tommy based on your annual income?
Your little man Paul is an idiot. If he took the payment, he could pay his own Dr Bills.
Some crackers just plain do not like blacks, fact. Some blacks don't much like crackers. Hell, some of them promote killing cracker baby's I've heard.
Limbaugh is a fucking genius, no doubt.

i simply recounted what Paul told Ron and Don. I didn't give my opinion of him. But now i will. Yes, he is an idiot. Limbaugh and Paul are two opposit Sorry, but you're a knob, Paul. Limbaugh and Paul are two opposite but equally ridiculous extremes of how to live your life.

and hey Paul , how's about cutting your bongload down by half, each outing. Just saying...

Black Panther leader says "kill all the crackers" and "Kill the cracker babies". Mr. "Hymietown" Farrakan is just going to be Louis Farrakan.
I think Mr. O should replace Rush with one of these intellectuals.

The problem isn't Limbaugh. He's a carnival barker selling tonic water. The problem is the people buying the tonic water.
Unfortunately for the rest us who are informed and do comprehend the state of the world and our own dysfunctional country, the masses seem to need lots and lots of tonic water.
For them, brain transplants would be more useful.

If you had asked me who George Steinbrener was before he died, I would have said he's the commissioner of the NBA, so to what extent did Limbaugh steal the dead man's thunder? I don't know.

Your finger pointing is misplaced - it more aptly applies to those who watch the talking lunatics on MSNBC and watch Rick Sanchez - the ultimate moron on CNN.

Maybach is pretty much "a dead brand", it was supposed to compete with Bentley and Rolls Royce (owned by VW and BMW) and has been a total failure for Mercedes except in China where the local political honchos ride around in them. The fact that it looks like a previous Hyundai model might account for it.
Maybach engines were power for the Zeppelin airships which somewhat resemble Komrad Limbaugh in more ways than one.

Paul the double rainbow guy is really getting hosed, apparently by his own choice. KFC has co-opted his video and is using a comedian to do a parody of his video on the double down deal. They probably offered Paul the gig but Mr. Purity turned it down no doubt.enjoy your less than 5k yearly income Mr. Paul.
