Besides serially killing, what do Gary Ridgway, Ted Bundy, and Dennis Rader have in common?
They're all Republicans. Coincidence? New anecdotal studies give a resounding, "Perhaps."
Questions resonating within an alarmed law enforcement community: Are serial killers attracted to the Republican party? Or are the Republicans attracted to them?
In reports kept under wraps until after the recent elections, anecdotal researchers using new counterfactual technologies and fellacious methodologies have turned up startling hearsay and volumes of evidentiary spuriousness that point to both conclusions.
"The evidence is sophistic," says criminologist Dr. Edgar "Choch" Manaña, U of Alabama. "The speciousness of these reports is staggering."
We discovered the phenom when reading accounts of an interrogation of Green River killer Gary Ridgway by erstwhile sheriff- now 8th District Republican congressputz- Dave Reichert.
Ridgway, a truck painter with an IQ of 82, had sex with his
victims after he killed them, told the sheriff he was a
Republican and would support him if he ran for higher office.
While Republicans are typically in a somewhat higher IQ range
than Ridgway, Reichert was flattered and his Republican handlers saw an
opportunity to target new voters.
Here was an inroad in the vote-rich micro-constituencies of not only psychopathic killers, but also necrophiliacs- a voting niche Republicans have been trying to crack since discovering that their revered Sen. Strom Thurmond had married three times though dead some 12 years.
Dennis Rader, Wichita's BTK (Bind, Torture, Kill) Killer was active in the party.
(photo: Dennis Rader in uniform)
Although a lowly though elected bureacrat, he carried out his eponymous deeds with a vigor many described as entrepreneurial.
From 1990 until his arrest in 2005, Rader was a supervisor of the Compliance Department at Park City, a two-manned, multi-functional department in charge of “animal control, housing problems, zoning, general permit enforcement and a variety of nuisance cases.” His performance in his position was described as “overzealous and extremely strict” by neighbors and as an authoritarian in the "daddy state" mold of a Jim DeMint, a Dino Rossi, or a Pam Roach. Rader cited animal control violators without mercy; as Larry King put it: he was a "letter of the law guy." Sound familiar?
The authoritarianism of libertarians or punitive religious conservatives can cause, according to the suppositious sociological community, a condition called "libertarian sociopathy." Marked by scornful, narcissistic, lack of compassion or empathy, its symptoms are manifest in people like Dori Monson, Rush Limbaugh, or Michael Savage.
An admix of power, celebrity, free markets, privatization, and no gun control, can sometimes go terribly wrong- and innocents can die.
Ted Bundy, the Tacoma boy renowned nationally for his sensational and prolific stranglings was a campaign worker for Republican Governor Dan Evans. A handsome law student, he cut quite a swath in the 1970's Olympia GOP chablis and brie scene.
While schtupping smart, young, single, Republican women during the week, he spent his quality time raping and strangling hippie chicks up in Seattle on the weekends.
It was said in Olympia that Bundy was polite, responsible, anti-union, and had the proper respect for private ownership, the gun lobby, and his Republican girlfriends. But for those women to whom he felt superior, (and probably Democrats) he repressed their votes by way of strangulation.
What was it about Republicanism that attracted Ted Bundy? Was it the sense of entitlement, ruthless independence and blind self-righteousness? Was it the laissez faire of the Republican platform gone so horribly wrong that free markets in his sick mind included the tender parts of young women?
Speaking of entitlement, the infamous Kevin Coe, Spokane's South Hill rapist of the early 1980's was the son of a conservative newspaper publisher, a bona fide spoiled rich kid, certified psychopath, licensed realtor, and self-described "pro-growth advocate." He and his parents were active Republicans.
As far as anyone knows, Coe never murdered anybody. His MO was brutally raping women while on his morning jog. Even after years in prison, the truly unpleasant Coe has never admitted guilt or acknowledged wrong-doing- a sociopathic pattern similar to members of or apologists for such failed and/or criminal GOP administrations such as those of Richard Nixon or George W. Bush.
Decrying "activist judges," his mother, Ruth Coe went to prison
after trying to hire a
hit man to murder the judge who convicted her
son. She was arrested coming home from a Lincoln Day dinner.
Would Kevin Coe supported the recent "pro-growth" Initiative 933? Anecdotal researchers say yes.
We see evidence of this strange disorder as a Republican administration is pulled down and exposed. The needless war; the dismantling of social safety nets, the denigration of the judiciary, the privatization rhetoric- it all dovetails into the pathology of the Republican serial killer.
We're wondering where and when the next Bundy, or BTK will show his deadly face. When will new killers, frustrated and enflamed over liberal push-back and recent gains start a spree adding to the carnage?
We're against profiling, but screening Republicans might be a prudent first step to stop the killing. Responsible Republicans should agree- profiling is an important law enforcement tool.
Surely if they have nothing to hide, they'd gladly cooperate.
Then Sheriff Reichert did explain the state law that requires all convicted felons in Washington vote Democrat while serving in prison and before any rights are restored after serving mandated sentences.

And Hitler was a Socialist -- so is Obama. Let's make comparisons, sgall we?

I learned of this blog years ago in the first place while looking for information about local radio stations and what shows/hosts are coming and going...
All too often, it just seems to be a whiney, typical liberal baby fit.
Nothing to do with the radio biz, just conservative bashing.
Not all liberals are protest puppet making bed wetters and not all conservatives are abortion clinic bombing maniacs...
But for a blog that offers such good discussion starters and seemingly inside scoop information...
This "Hood Guy" sure comes off as a full on, class "A" choice dick head far too often.
It's your blog, but I'd sure like to see it stay on radio and not finding ways to pit liberals against conservatives.
Just my opinion.

I mean "Let's make comparisons, SHALL WE?"
Sgitheads!
Posted by: YoMama | June 06, 2010 at 12:21 AM
You got that right, Rat Bastard! This blog is definitely leaning left - with a bunch of whiny, mud-slinging libs. It does detract from the topic of RADIO.
Hood is definitely a LIB and this blog is the flag he waves.
Pity!

"And Hitler was a Socialist -- so is Obama."
The fact that Hitler chose to put the word 'Socialist' into the name of his National Socialist party has been confusing idiots for decades, But if you're too dumb to tell the difference between methods and goals, ideologies and expediencies just shut up.
Posted by: LiberalRedneck | June 06, 2010 at 06:49 AM
No "YoMama" the topic is 80% of Serial Killers are Republicans. Do you know why? Because both are the same thing -No Conscience about anything from Conning & Lying to their common Love of Ruining the lives of others regardless of their innocence to the next progression -Sadistic Murders -both groups characteristics are identical for a reason because, there is no difference in their psychology -mindset.
James M., You're absolutely right. I knew it before under the surface that Republicans are all about Greed, Bloodthirstiness, and Evil intentions but, didn't have all the particular cases that I'm finding all over the net right now, in doing Web-Searches on "Republican Serial Killers" -and related articles such as... "Republican Hypocrisy" article in Wikipedia. Democrats aim & strive for higher ideals... Republicans only work on the Cons of Looking Moral Photo-Opp Images, and on Purposely accusing every non-Republican of whatever the Sins of Republicans Are More Guilty of, than anyone.

Maybe these criminals seek the respectability of the Republicans secretly hoping that the Democrats remain in power given the track record of being soft on crime.
Posted by: Puget Sound | June 06, 2010 at 08:48 AM
Since the Reagan days (I was there) Republicans have practiced these kinds of things as their Standard Practice. The N.R.A. and Gun-Dealers (hmmm gun dealers and drug dealers, both trying to get people killed or not caring anyway -as long as they keep gettin' that money) NRA & Gun Dealers started funding the Republican party campaign. Newsmen took accurate polls all over the U.S.-in the early 90's to find out the viewpoints of most Americans on Gun Control. About literally 80% said they want gun-control. Remember -Democracy- kind of like Majority Rules?. Upon hearing the findings, the Republicans offered this kind of general response... yeah, yeah, so what. Don't worry your pretty little heads about anything... and um... So what. Then Proceeded to Shove Guns down our throats whether we wanted them or not. "Whatever, 80% and Jimmy Crack Corn and We Repubs Don't give a flying F -We'll do your thinking for you, and serve only the Republican party and MegaMillionaires and we don't give a flyin' F what the public wants.
Guns are beside the point. This is just ONE example out of THOUSANDS since the Reagan years BLATANTLY DOING THESE KINDS OF THINGS EVERY TIME AND THOUSANDS OF BARE-FACED LIES & CONS -BUT, EITHER WAY -IF YOU AGREED OR NOT, WE DON'T GIVE A FLYIN' F ABOUT YOU OR ANY AMERICAN CITIZENS -EXCEPT MEGA-MILLIONAIRES. -REPUBLICANS ARE BORN SOCIOPATHS. (No Conscience)

"We are socialists, we are enemies of today's capitalistic economic system for the exploitation of the economically weak, with its unfair salaries, with its unseemly evaluation of a human being according to wealth and property instead of responsibility and performance, and we are all determined to destroy this system under all conditions." --Adolf Hitler
(Speech of May 1, 1927. Quoted by Toland, 1976, p. 306)
Sounds like Hitler knew exactly what he wanted when he chose to put the word Socialist in to the National Socialist Party, eh? I guess they don't cover that in the first year of Community College.
Stalin, Hitler, Mao, Castro, some of the greatest mass murderers in history were Communist or Socialist.
In modern history, name a Democratic Country that can match the horrors of Stalin, Hitler, or Mao.
I'll pause as you run off to google...(extra points if you can answer without spelling the USA as AmeriKKKa)

The very need to categorize serial killers as Dem or Republican is telling. It fits right in with my theory that politics now provides the Weltanschauung that religion used to provide. Everything, especially weird and seemingly inexplicable phenomena, must be processed thru the Dem/Repub prism.
It's sad, really.

Puget Sound,
Funny how people such as yourself who wear their igorance on their sleeve and seem happily untroubled by logic or coomon sense are the first to start mking assumptions about others. Sorry if people being smarter than you threatens you and maks you resort to bratty little putdowns. Grow up.
Oh, and if yo don't get that Socialism and Nazism are totlly opposed 'philosophies', I'm surprised you have enough smarts to tie your own shoelaces. But full kudos for having Hitler himself back p your argument. Never said a wrong word did e? Never sought to boost his own popularity with thegerman working class by lying about his beliefs did he?
I'll let you 'scuttle of to Googl'. I went to school and paid attention myself so I do that with les frequncy myself.

Polluted Sound doesn't get that point, he only has the same books published by Heil Hannity, Michael Sewage and Loofah O Reiley that were in the possession of nut cases who go into churches and shoot people.
"Police found right-wing political books, brass knuckles, empty shotgun shell boxes and a handgun in the Powell home of a man who said he attacked a church in order to kill liberals "who are ruining the country," court records show."
Very telling.
Posted by: Coiler | June 06, 2010 at 11:09 AM
Knoxville Police Department Officer Steve Still requested the search warrant after interviewing Adkisson. who was subdued by several church members after firing three rounds from a 12-gauge shotgun into the congregation.
Adkisson targeted the church, Still wrote in the document obtained by WBIR-TV, Channel 10, "because of its liberal teachings and his belief that all liberals should be killed because they were ruining the country, and that he felt that the Democrats had tied his country's hands in the war on terror and they had ruined every institution in America with the aid of media outlets."
Adkisson told Still that "he could not get to the leaders of the liberal movement that he would then target those that had voted them in to office."
Adkisson told officers he left the house unlocked for them because "he expected to be killed during the assault."
Inside the house, officers found "Liberalism is a Mental Health Disorder" by radio talk show host Michael Savage, "Let Freedom Ring" by talk show host Sean Hannity, and "The O'Reilly Factor," by television talk show host Bill O'Reilly.

You will deny any truth that a Democrat says such as about the King's New Suit. Serial Killers and Republicans are brothers of the same bad seed -both are Sociopaths with an evil core who will LIE, Cheat, Steal, and Kill anyone or anything that may be an obstacle -even if Mother Theresa was the obstacle no matter how Right she is. Standard Policy is... LIE, Steal, KIll, LIE Lie, Steal, Kill (Ruin Innocent People's lives AND BE SURE NOT TO GIVE A DAMN ABOUT IT. Both groups of Criminals are Incapable of Ever admitting anything they do, as evil, unless of course they see a Liberal do the same thing next week but now... the torture devices and Conservative Republican Self-Righteous Denial gets whipped out. No Evil criminal or Evil Scheming Lying Republican -can ever admit that any part of him / her could ever be evil -although it's Blatant.
If & when the Republican sees anyone knowing they're seeing the evil thing you just did, his first & last reaction isn't honesty or Fessing Up -it's to starting as big a Baseless Witch Hunt against a Liberal or Democratic target -Hitler's ole' Big Lie manipulation but, try as you might, you'll never be able to change an Evil Pig's Soul, no matter how clean-cut you look, no matter how many Duped Sycophants agree with you, and no matter how much you order people to say... Oh King, what a beautiful suit. You must be a good person, in spite of what everyone sees you doing every day, and all the evil we don't see you doing behind closed doors. “

Connecting the dots is difficult for conservativess. I get enraged at their total lack of understanding of most issues. Most on the left seem to have empathy and a desire for the collective good. The right is all about money. I know there are moderates - I've even voted for a few - who cared about social justice but that was long, long ago. Before Reagan made greed moral.
People bought it. Even people who were eventually terribly hurt by it.
Now we on the left have a President who is aiding and abetting the killing and harming of people who lost their lifes' work in the Gulf and are now being paid low wages to clean up the mess.
The dems in the Senate act like moderate republicans of old; the blue dogs and the republicans have moved to the extreme right. Collins and Snowe are prime examples. Two women who should know better.
"Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired, represents, in the final analysis, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, who are cold and are not clothed. This world in arms is not spending money alone. It is spending the sweat of its laborers, the genius of its scientists, the hopes of its children.
Dwight D. Eisenhower
34th president of US 1953-1961 (1890 - 1969)
And then he let Allan Dulles serve as an accomplice in the overthrow of Mossadegh (Duff will correct my spelling later)who was going to nationalize Iran's oil. What a pity. If you read a lot of Eisenhower's words, he was strongly for moral justice and democratics ideals. Yet, in the end, he, too, succumbed to greed.
Posted by: joanie | June 06, 2010 at 12:11 PM
To pick up where joanie left off . . .
I don't understand the duplicity or contradictions they manifest:
small government but when it comes to deciding what a woman can do with her body they want the government involved; alcohol and tobacco - both dangerous drugs - are okay but when it other drugs of choice, they want the government involved; they believe in individual responsibility and states' rights but when it comes to two people marrying, they want the government involved.
Seems like the only times they don't want the government involved is when it limits their right to destroy the environment, the planet, and the laborer.
BTW, telling the government to "keep it's hands off my medicare and social security" is the epitome of the contradictory right.
Posted by: liberally smart | June 06, 2010 at 12:38 PM
I don't think satire is meant to be funny as much as it is to expose small truths . . . or big ones? As long as one isn't the target of it, one can laugh at it.
Truth is, extreme conservatism is not healthy for our body politic or for our society.

Posted by: Andrew | June 06, 2010 at 01:18 PM
Hey Sparky, agree totally. I'm a 'liberal' but I've always believed Eisenhower was the best damn prez this country ever had. But, because, he 'was big government' he's not liked by 'conservatives' today. These dumbasses think it was no big deal winning WWII, building the interstate highway system, passing civil rights legislation for women and minorities or presiding over the best economy the US ever had. The wingnuts prefer to idolize fake heroes like Reagan who achieved nothing in reality. (and don't give me the Cold War bullcrap - communism was brought down by the people under it not by the Gipper making a few speeches.)
Ain't it funny too how I've spent the past decade being called anti-American because I disagreed with Bush and you've got to back the president otherwise you're not a patriot. But now, the same brain dead wingnuts call me anti-American because I now DO support the president. F*cking idiots.

The other night on PBS there was a special on the CCC worker program..the reason we have lodges in parks, bridges, trails, campgrounds, etc. There is so much of our infrastructure in our country that needs replacement, why don't we have another program like this? Of course they would have to pay them better than in the 30's ( a dollar a day) but so much could be done and we could put a lot of people to work, even if it was temporarily.
Im watching "Treme" on HBO right now. There is still a lot of work to be done in New Orleans...and much of it could be done by a CCC type program--putting people to work to make the lives of other people back to normal.

Sparky, the Progressives have been waiting for that since day one of the Obama administration.
I liked Ike. I did. I was a very young kid but my dad liked Ike so I liked Ike. Except for the Iranian thing. I still like Ike. But he wasn't perfect. He had everything possible: a strong and growing economy; an increasing middle class - a lot of whom are republicans today because they got wealthier; and a war win. People were happy.
And he was honest about the military. A military which - in spite of his wise words - has become the enemy of the American people today.
Posted by: joanie | June 06, 2010 at 02:36 PM
I don't think Eisenhower would be welcome in his party these days.
Posted by: sparky | June 06, 2010 at 12:58 PM
Really?
Ike managed to give us a balance budget, strong military, and successful at ending one war -oops, military action- and keeping us at relative peace. To his discredit, he was slow on civil rights. All in all, sounds like he would fit right in with the Repubs of today.
I wonder if JFK would still be a Dem in today's version of the Democratic Party?
He was fairly active in bringing down foreign governments and assassination plots of foreign leaders. Vietnam and Cuba ring a bell, dearie? But that's okay, as he was a Democrat.
Or would you would be calling him, just like Scoop Jackson, a neo-con.
LMAO
By the way, looks like Pres Obama has nominated someone who believes that Saddam had WMD's to be his new Intel Chief. Can't wait to flesh that out a bit.

You really are full of sh*t. Who dragged the US into WWII against the determination of the Republican party to let Hitler take over Europe? Yup, FDR. I don't think you'll find any Dem who disowns or disapproves of FDR. But you'll find plenty of wingnut wackjobs (John Birch Soc., Teabaggers, etc.) who happily disown Eisenhower who won the f*cking war!
Also, don't assume anyone who disagrees with your pinheaded snarks is a cartoon parody of a liberal. Clearly, you're a cartoon parody of a conservative judging by the crap you say but don't judge everyone by your own squalid standards.

Meanwhile, in Arkansas..here we go again:
A new Research 2000 poll shows Bill Halter leading Blanche Lincoln 49% to 45%.
But now, a major local election official is making it harder for Bill Halter's supporters to vote.
Garland County is the most populous county Bill Halter won 3 weeks ago, and could be key to his run-off victory this Tuesday. But election commissioner Charles Tapp reduced the number of polling places from 42 to 2.
Also, after personally promising Bill Halter there would be early voting this weekend, Tapp reversed course. Hundreds of voters showed up to vote yesterday but were denied.
Make no mistake, this is by design.
Remember how rural voters broke so heavily for Halter in the primary? Well now those same rural voters have to travel miles across a mountain range to get to town on a weekday to cast their vote, and Tapp ran away when he was asked about what this would do to disenfranchise minorities. How painfully obvious can this get?
One voter told a local TV station, "I don't know if I'm gonna vote or not now... I'm going have to get time off work, and I don't know I can leave Monday or Tuesday."
Fortunately, progressives in Arkansas have begun to man the phones to let people know when and where the polls will be open on Tuesday. Hopefully it will be enough.

Another consideration; The soft on-crime bleeding heart Democrats are enabling the increase of terrorist cells in the United States. The Obomb-bomb apology tour over the rest of the world has exposed a soft spot in the USA's armor, giving hope for the rest of the world to knock down the world's superpower by whatever means possible.
This has inspired those who are adversaries to embolden themselves - like Islamist terrorist cells in the USA - an increase since Jan. 2009, overseas - now we see that Iran would like to escort a ship through Gaza, China is playing hardball and Russia is supporting Iran's nuclear program. It is seemingly getting uglier by the day. I agree with Reagan's assessment of "Peace through strength", but there are limitations - spending into oblivion. However, the apology tour of the current POTUS has done nothing to benefit us - to the contrary it has been a detriment.
The GOP bashers like this post, but in reality it is small and rather pointless. The soft on crime attitude of the Demoncats are as good of an explanation as anything for this coincidence- leftwing progressive conspiracies or otherwise.
Redneck Liberal - look at your self in the mirror and read your posts. You are merely spouting conspiracy theories and you are a revisionist historian. John Birchers have long since been mariginalized. That's like me saying you are pro-Islamist - get real...

"Today the Supreme Court of the United States ordered a freeze of Arizona's public financing matching funds system, ordering the state of Arizona not to release further matching funds to candidates who are running for state offices this year with public financing."
"Without matching funds provisions, public financing programs are unlikely to attract substantial participation from serious candidates, who fear being vastly outmatched by self-financed opponents or major independent spending campaigns. "
So, we can look forward to candidates (such as the winner of the Republican primary for Governor of California) who can purchase outright an "elected" office.
