nor did Reagan say that...but hey, historical accuracy was never your strong suit.
read the post on 'Reagan Post Traumatic Derangement Syndrome.'
but hey, in the same vein we can say that the Clinton administration proposed counting salsa as a vegetable. LMAO
Dino symbolizes the frustration that Americans have today with government. He will be victorious. He's the "outsider" that we freedom-seeking citizens cherish. Patty Murray is an old style predictable politician who is married to lobbyists, lacks independent thinking and believes government is the answer to all our woes. Good bye Patty.
The picture you've provided for this topic is appropriate. I'm afraid it depicts the 'Dino Rossi' that voters often see. I've advised Mr Rossi not to run against Patty Murray as I think he will be soundly defeated. A thrice-time loser, he will IMO have ruined all chances of a future in politics.
Mr Rossi is a decent person with a sharper than normal ability to deal with people and form a concensus on complicated issues. Unfortunately that does not carry thru to the public because of his weakness in his ability to 'speak' and 'debate'.
EEvery speech or debate I've seen him in, he looked weak and without passion. He did not take my advice and he has put himself out on a limb. Sen Murray will saw that limb off...not because she's so dynamic a Senator, but simply because she does have a track record and I believe to some extent she has gained the support of the military veterans. So long Dino. [for what it's worth, You'll still get my vote!]
A tomato is a fruit that is often confused as a vegetable, but becomes a condiment through a magical and highly secret process of squeezing and mashing.
If the bloodletting does happen then is it corporalogic or mormologic? Put the wrong format on the 50,000 watt powerhouse, put the best format on a lousy FM signal then fire all the people who have nothing to do with the bad decision.
I was told that when you fire people you are actually firing your mistakes. Too bad upper management doesn't think to fire itself.
Jeez Duh-f! I can't imagine why Rossi would ignore your sagacious advice! You've proposed a theorem with the conclusion that he should not run. For all those reasons, he should run. We would never have to see him again!
The Republican Party is shoving this loser down our throats, again. Rossi is an establishment guy who is almost as dirty as Murray. He got into this after good men spent time and money to be nominated by the people, not by Washington DC Party dons. He will not have the support of his own state grassroots. We must eliminate him in the primary in August. Clint Didier is the man who can win against the homely big-spender in tennis shoes.
I've not heard Didier speak yet; does he have better oratory skills than the average typical NFL tight end? We are certainly getting an idea of how valuable speech and telegenics are within the political arena.
obama is a black man, i dont think rossi is going to beat murray, altho i voted for him for governor over gregoire, i find her totally incompetent. interesting that rob mckenna all but announced his run for the governors office during ron and don's fill in show.
We'll all see when Didier, Akers and Rossi debate on the same stage. There should probably be more than one debate - more like two or three. It is clear that these guys need to be vetted throroughly before facing the incumbent.
It is realistic to say that whoever it is better believe that it will be an uphill climb to win. The main struggle will be to pull the independents over to their corner.
They'll have to articulate the "It's now or never" and clearly explain why they claim this - something that has meat and something that will pass muster for being perceived as more than just scare tactics.
There is a lot of depth to tigsnorts comment "the scar on Dino's cheek....".
We do not pass on people in this state just because of looks. Have you ever set eyes on a more homely woman than Patty Murray? Christine Gregoire is butt ugly. Remember Dixie? Mike Lowrey? Hell, we don't even require intelligence (again, see Patty Murray).
We are just not as shallow as you suggest.
Has anyone sent this to Dori? I am sure with his high morales plagiarism by Rossi bring a rant against unethical politicians and cause him to drop his support of Rossi (sarcasm off)
KIROFM 97.3 Multi-format: news and nearly all local talk. This is where classic KIRO AM news talk radio went... hopefully, not to die. The home of Dave Ross & Luke Burbank, Dori Monson, Ron & Don, Frank Shiers, Bill Radke, Linda Thomas, Tony Miner and George Noory.
KUOW FM 94.9 Seattle's foremost public radio news and talk.
KVI am 570 KHz Visit the burnt-out husk of one of the seminal right-wing talkers in all the land. Here's where once trilled the reactionary tones of Rush Limbaugh, John Carlson, Kirby Wilbur, Mike Siegel, Peter Weissbach, Floyd Brown, Dinky Donkey, and Bryan Suits.
Now it's Top 40 hits from the '60's & '70's aimed at that diminishing crowd who still remembers them and can still hear.
KTTH am 770 KHz Right wing home of local, and a whole bunch of syndicated righties such as Glennn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, Michael Medved, Sean Hannity, Laura Ingraham, Lars Larsony, and for an hour a day: live & local David Boze.
KPTK am 1090 KHz Syndicated liberal talk. Stephanie Miller, Thom Hartmann, Ed Schultz, Randi Rhodes, Norman Goldman fill in the large hole to the left on Northwest radio dial.
KLFE AM 1590 kHz Syndicated right-wing 2nd stringers like Mark Levin, Bill Bennett, Mike Gallagher, Dennis Prager, Dennis Miller and Hugh Hewitt inhabit this timid-voiced neighbor honker for your radio enjoyment (unless you're behind something large like Costco).

Ah yes...but Dino never pitched for 'Twenty Mule Team Borax'.
Therefore any comparisons would have to be moot.

We know the Reagan policy was never initiated after the coverage it received. What the ketchup industry was saying was that Reagan was a vegetable.
