With little fanfare, The Bryan Suits Show (KVI m-f, 5-9a) recently started podcasting!
Don’t get excited: the KVI site is still dreck. They’re not hosting Suits’ show: It’s up here on iTunes, and we’re guessing that’s the work of web-savvy producers Jeremy Grater and Kevin Dodrill.
The other live & local show, John Carlson (m-f, 3-6p) is not up on The Pods.
(The site still “interacts” with listeners via quaint 20th century communication: email ‘em, snail ‘em, or give them a call- "It's toll-free!). No comments, no blogs, it’s a one-way, top-down street). We do more poddin’ these days, especially of right-wing shows that start at 5 ayem…
It's pretty much conventional wisdom that radio will survive- the question is: on which platform or combination of platforms? Podcasting definitely registers in the Top Ten platforms. To ignore it is, well, stoopid.
KIRO leads the leads the pack with a well-traveled site for the KIROs and KTTH. They require blogging from all the hosts, and with the exception of the redumbdent Ron & Don, (KIRO m-f, 3-7p) welcome commenters. They long ago hired an ace web guy, James Bottorff who’s made the site arguably one of the best news talk sites in the country.
The fact that KVI is 'schlumping' towards a new day in the world of technology could very well be because of Bryan Suits. Bryan seems impressive in his understanding of computer technology and if he has folks around him with like skills and ability he would make advancements. I look forward to a more 'user-friendly' KVI web site with interfacing capabilities, as I'm now pretty much a lock on 'Suits' in the a.m. (whenever I can) and 'Carlson' in the drive-home time slot.

Agreed, Suits keeps things in perspective pretty well and doesn't lose that much in translation. He is less grating and a drama queen than his talk-radio competition at the same time.
A more user friendly KVI website would be welcome to those who read it - to all 3 of the resident conservatives over here.

Bryan has gotten a bit liberal. Could it be because his producer Jeremy Grater was Mike Webb's long time producer?

Is KVI still broadcasting? Hadn't noticed.
