thanks, Mike. You always remind me amusingly why I turned off KIRO years ago when they hired these oafen-jocks. Enough tabloid radio. I've gotten used to the dulling good taste and balance of NPR. I miss the exciting old pirate days of talk radio, though. So far john Carlson hasn't reproduced it. Another thing about public radio, listen to it for a while, and you'll never go back to regular radio, the ads are maddening because they're obnoxious and because they're so numerous.

The drone-a-thon that is the Ron & Don daily embarrassment is heading for it's long-overdue demise. The duo of transient gab-jocks with nothing to say have bored yet another market into a state of numbness; perfect timing for the new Program Director to take a listen to the multitude of audition tapes just waiting to bring even a hint of orginality and wit to the Seattle airwaves. This pair of chuckleheads has been ousted by markets from Dallas to New Orleans so there's no reason the desperate "crusade of the day" clowns should clutter up the airwaves any longer. Those who agree, do what I do: boycott the R&D sponsors. Anybody who thinks I'll ever make a purchase from Major Blinds (to name just one) is flat-out crazy.
