chuck says joanie is a liar. (because she lies)

Being on the long end of middle age, but not yet elderly and being unemployed for a very long time, but having a little unemployment comp left, I have to agree with seeking group counseling. That is why I come here.
When I was on vacation to the Caribbean a couple of months ago, I even had my son check in here daily to keep me up to date. (of course, now I can't come here when he is at the house as he thinks that a couple of you are mega ass holes and not worth the time of day and flips me shit for reading your vile postings and taking the insults)

Oh Bla'M don't be so hard on him...he almost had it right.
Don's son was in fact 'suspended' (from the imbelical cord...for a while) for Don's apparent ,good behavior. Close, but no cigar (as they say). :) Actually, probably many cigars...congrats Don and family!

Old McDonald

Gunnar? What a lame name. Is he in ROTC yet?

Exactly what is it. Rather odd looking. Things fall into a pattern. His sidekick is a bastard and he sires one. Birds of a feather. They both said they're "white trash".

The Glenn Beck Comedy Tour 2009

Hey, we've all been there. We've all heard stories of cruel and unthinking ways that station owners "let go" of people...CS might have done a couple himself.
I hear Fisher's giving Bisquick as a pension.

I remember the late, great Phil Harper would always tag one of these hard-luck stories with: "...and that's why WE call 'Radio' 'The Industry with a Heart.'"

james chan

don o' neill is a douch and all, but what does that (fathering a child) have to do with being on the radio.

Did anyone notice that Ron covered the show quite well? In fact I thought someone at KIROFM had been reading some of these posts.... and then Don came back.

james chan

that's douche...

Obama is a black man

Ron Paul on the Dori Monson show Friday!

The experiment has failed! Freedom on 1/20/13!

Sure 'bout that, OIABM?...I'll believe that when the mkt breaks 11,000! :)

Ron used to suck if he was on air by himself. He would sound tired and lazy... but the other day I tuned in and he was on the ball. It was actualy nice to hear one person say one thing, and get his words out without being cut off by a particular bonehead every next moment.

Ron sounds as skilled as the mid-day guy on Saturdays at KBLU in Yuma, Arizona: under-prepared, over-matched and thin-voiced. Come to think of it, that should be the next minor-market stop for the transient clowns called R&D.

The Glenn Beck Comedy Tour 2009

Before Don cycled in, Ron was doing fill-in's solo, and he was quite good. In fact, his shows were mostly "Set-Up/Call-in" with minimal bloviating, and his producer and he had it set up so well, that he'd make a seamless transition between calls--"so, Bev thinks such-and-such is such-and-such", but JoeBlo in Belltown, YOU think yadda-yadda is yadda-yadda" and the callers would start talking...none of this "Am I on?" BS every call. It was quite thrilling to hear as it went without a hitch, and showed just how much was being done to prep Ron and the callers. As opposed to what usually happens on talk-back. Made the callers sound like they were on the ball, as well.

Then Don came in, and well...

The Glenn Beck Comedy Tour 2009

And I'm sure "Gunnar" is an alias to protect the kid from the lunatic fringe...you know, like folks who call a newborn "bastard" (right-to-lifer, much?)or those who can't spell "douche."

I think the photo of Don in a previous post was not of Don teaching his dog to shit but of male lamaze

Please make both dumb & dumber go away. Can we have some real talk radio?

Peak Limiter II

Corporate Suit has worked in every station in this town. He has run out of places to work. He's too old to move to another market and he won't unless his wife loses her job too.

It wouldn't surprise me to see Kirby Wilbur hook up with KIRO in some capacity as soon as his non-compete agreement period is up with KVI.

Corporate Suit

@ Peak & @Blather: You are both right. I have, and I'm out of work with no income coming in. Not even Unemployment. It's very gloom in the CS house. I'm selling a lot of my old treasured items on eBay just for gas money. The next two weeks may spell the start of foreclosure on the CS home.

I hope that's not the case CS; if it is - I wish you well and hope that your situation improves.

Peak Limiter II

It's karmic, CS. You're not exactly beloved in this market.

@ Peak Limiter - You're absolutely right. While I don't think it's karmic (I never knifed anyone in the back or such) but I have pretty much burnt many bridges and pooped where I ate. So there's really no where for me to go in radio in this market.

@ Duff - It IS absolutely case. The next 14 days will say a lot but the job market in every sector is very tight. And there's just a limit where I can go, thanks to my stupidity.

Foreclosure = free money and free rent for up to a year or more. The banks got their bailouts. Foreclosure is is your bailout.

That's right. First you can stall foreclosure a number of ways, and second, banks are intentionaly stalling foreclosure proceeding to artificially prop up the values of other homes. Even after foreclosure begins, you can stay in the house up until the day of auction which will likely be months down the road. With the high rate of foreclosures occurring (and many more on the way) it could be well over a year. Free housing!

You know CS I don't have any first-hand accumen directly but what Andrew says may in fact be a reasonable tactic in today's environment. I've been doing some real-estate negotiating in the Phoenix/Scottsdale, AZ area lately and they are so housing-market depressed it's pathetic...banks are begging for buyers to take over and seemingly going out of their way to try to accomodate the dwellers before it reaches the foreclosure state.
Again, I'm hoping and praying you can improve your situation; you've obviously bared your soul in this regard and I pray for you, sir/ma'am, whatever you are. :)

duffman's id

Oh, brother.

What's the real story?

I know first hand that Don O'Neill has been slandering the mother of his child only to make himself look good. Trust me this man is a SNAKE and is not looking out for Gunnar's (his trophy)best interests.

Tim Hayes

wow.. sorry I landed on this post. While mildly intriguing I feel like I should now consider anti-depressants on a permanent basis. I'm gong back to PBS - where the egos are short-lived.

Especially with the upcoming Romney regime.
