Guess it's not only us talk fans that yearn for real, 24/7 local radio... this from reader Adam:
I got off work late last night to find that 950am was still "live and local" covering the firing of Jim Mora the way that KOMO does and KIRO wishes it did when we get half an inch of snow. (Image: Rob Kelly)
How'd it get to the point when the most epic talk radio in months is on KJR with the B-list hosts?
710 ESPN Radio is also live and local to a certain extent.
when i came home on friday, i turned on my radio and heard all about the jim mora firing, listened to interviews from seattle players like Hoosh on the firing, and heard the local hosts bring in both local and national sport commentators/writers to get their input. it was great.
by the way, having espn 710 has made 950 kjr better.

I tuned into KJR a couple of times on Friday. Softy was talking about it as was Groz & Gas. So who was on the air from the b-squad?

I thought KIRO-FM did a good job of covering the Jim Mora story. Between the station and their web site, there was complete coverage on Friday, even to the point of reporting what the LA papers were saying about Carroll being a likely target. Several 'in-the-know' personalities gave their call on it and I found it very interesting and informative. If you combing what you hear on the station with what is being reported on the web site IMO it gives you a rather comprehensive picture of the topic at hand.
But STILL I would recommend that KIRO-FM go back to AM. :)

I,m finding myself tuning in Brock and Salk more and more. Just how much Medved can you take. I feel that Brock has a tremendous potential. Mike Salk is an authority on baseball. I'm to the point of to hell with the way the country is going. Let's play ball. My o My

KJR had Jason Puckett on past 11pm, so I guess that was the B-talent. I like Puckett and makes a decent fill-in.
