HH: Last question, in terms of his relationship with you not connected to this event, are you still, is he in your employ in any way?
AB...What he does for the site exclusively is he tells his life rights, basically. So when he puts a story out there, it's on the Brietbart sites, the Big sites, that he can tell people what transpired. So...
HH: Do you pay him for that?
AB: Yes.HH: And are you free to tell me how much you pay him?
AB: I'll...perhaps at another date, but he's paid a fair salary.HH: Is he...so he is an employee?
AB: I'm not sure that's technically the thing, but yes, he's paid for his life rights. And he's, you know, he's still...we reserve the right to say yes or no to any of the stories that he puts up on our site as we do to any other contributor who comes to the site.HH: Will it be a mischaracterization to say he was working for you when he went about this?
AB: Well, I mean, no. He was not involved in anything that was related to Big Government, or Breitbart.com.O'Keefe was a hero in right-wing media only days ago, As someone has said, we've never seen such a fast transformation from icon to clown. No mention yet of the matter on the Limbaugh, O’Reilly, Hannity, or Glenn Beck’s teevee or radio radio shows.
Breitbart takes on the Hollywood elite in his group blog site BigHollywood which broke the ACORN McScandal when the young unknown filmmakers Hannah Giles and James O’Keefe approached him with undercover footage of employees of the community organizing group apparently condoning under-age prostitution by illegal immigrants.
(Breitbart is a bit of a Hollywood elite his own self: he's married to Susannah (Susie) Bean, daughter of actor Orson Bean).
He founded BigGovernment and BigJournalism sites while his Breitbart.com is a major driver of web traffic.
That doesn't surprise me. As 'Ryder' previously said it happens both ways and it doesn't matter whether there's a 'D' or an 'R' after your name. Follow the money, follow the money, follow the money. Lo siento mucho. [May be some day we'll come up with a better system - meanwhile 'hope and change'] What a joke!

Look who's on Obama's payroll:
(from the NY Post)
"It's just insane that a lawyer who defended Osama bin Laden's driver and bodyguard -- and who sought constitutional rights for terrorists -- could be one of the Obama administration's top legal officials.
But there's Neal Katyal, occupying a top perch at the Justice Department as the principal deputy solicitor general.
Then there's Jennifer Daskal -- who just months ago was an anti-Guantanamo activist. Now she's in Justice's National Security Division -- working on detainee issues.

This really shows who's side this reprehensible administration is really on, just in case you couldn't figure it out for yourself.
Borderline treason if you asked me.

None of those things are illegal Brian, as I am sure you are aware. Our system should always try to provide an adequate defense for the accused, whilst leaving any emotion out of it.
Interesting that Breitbrat used the word "salary", having worked as a contractor in the past that's not a word that's typically used for compensation. Definitely suggests stronger ties.

Oh I see, so anything Obama does is cool as long as it's not illegal. I just need to get my mind right.

Yah, no kidding. Don't pay your taxes, OK. Employ undocumented workers OK (just don't get caught). Get blown by an intern, OK (hee hee). Oh, but if you're a Weissbach (ie: not a leftie), then fuggedaboudit!

Borderline treason? You DO know, dont you, that a courtroom attorney's job is to defend the client regardless of how he or she feels about that client, or believes him or her to be innocent or guilty?

Not on topic but as I sit here watching our beloved POTUS give the SOTU speech I can't help but chuckle as I see (sitting in back of him) bobble and botox heads.
bobble head Biden (screen left) constantly nodding approval (like a good VP is supposed to do) and screen right the botox lady Pelosi stretched to the limit of her facial ability.
His speeches (his strongest talent) are getting weaker and weaker and I think voters are starting to realize that he just DOESN'T WALK THE TALK. He's a corporate elitist, just 'a shade' left of center. If this wasn't so serious, it would be hilarious.

It is off topic. Loyal Americans know better.
Posted by: Coiler | January 27, 2010 at 06:34 PM
Actually, I think you, sparky, joanie (and others) are having your doubts. And YOU are no one to question American loyalty.
Posted by: TommyOate | January 27, 2010 at 06:39 PM
It may have been a dumb move by O'Keefe. I'm on the sidelines in this one until all of the pertinent information is in.
Posted by: KS | January 27, 2010 at 06:54 PM
Oh, btw coiler, sparky, joanie: your hero JE is now a free and single man, here's your chance.
Bwahahahahaha
Posted by: TommyOate | January 27, 2010 at 06:58 PM
Duff, you truly need a hobby.
And no, I do not have any doubts about Obama. Just about you.
Posted by: sparky | January 27, 2010 at 07:19 PM
So I suppose that O'Keefe's exposure re: Acorns promotion of prostitution by underaged illegal aliens, is now non-existant. I'm sure he had something good on the La. senator that has been effectively covered up by blaming him for some kind of illegal wiretapping or whatever. Typical leftist tactics. The gig is up. You have been exposed and will continue to fall. RIP

They were employees and they were fired. End of story. Except from people who have nothing else to talk about.
Go read a good book.
Posted by: joanie | January 27, 2010 at 09:13 PM
BTW, has Mr. Bean fired O'Keefe?
Posted by: joanie | January 27, 2010 at 09:15 PM
Jig is up, not gig is up.
Posted by: sparky | January 27, 2010 at 09:20 PM
And where did that ridiculous jumpsuit come from? Only on the right...
I bet it comes with Larry Craig's approval.
Posted by: joanie | January 27, 2010 at 09:40 PM
Whoever did that picture....you're a hella nifty satirical-topical artist...I actually laughed out loud. Appropos and effing hilarious.

What did he and the others end up uncovering in Landrieu's office ? Sounds like stonewalling and avoidance negligance of the senator in failing to respond to her constituents.
Vigilantee justice is sometimes in order - like maybe here. Just sayin'
Posted by: KS | February 01, 2010 at 04:43 PM
Sounds like they broke the law. Vigilante justice is the last refuge of losers who refuse to vote.
Posted by: Coiler | February 01, 2010 at 04:57 PM
Breaking the law is ok because she didnt answer phone calls? Right.
Posted by: sparky | February 01, 2010 at 05:11 PM
Before you all leap to conclusions, how about getting all of the facts ? Something that media sources often overlook.
"Vigilante justice is the last refuge of losers who refuse to vote."
Oh, You must mean with groups like ACORN.

No, folks like klan wannabes and McVeigh types. Your side has worn out so many copies of Birth of a Nation.
Posted by: Coiler | February 01, 2010 at 10:05 PM
Right - keep playing that tired old race card, curley. LMAO !
Posted by: KS | February 02, 2010 at 12:09 PM
How many of your fellow gubmint employees share your POV?
Posted by: Coiler | February 02, 2010 at 12:34 PM
I think you meant SUV didn't you. I don't think you can get more than seven in one of those things.
Posted by: RunningH2o | February 02, 2010 at 12:43 PM
