It’s lunchtime in Factoria, and Top Gun restaurant is serving what made them famous, dim sum. Servers rattle loaded carts around the dining room plying customers with a wide assortment of Chinese delectables such as chicken feet, shrimp dumplings and sticky rice on little dishes.

Old Seattle Radio Saturday: bob hardwick

Bob Hardwick, who described himself as a "professional smartass," ruled Seattle morning radio for over twenty years.

A story dated February 8, 1990 in the Seattle Times chronicled Hardwick when he was hired at KING1090 for what turned out to be his last job.

This is the one we've been waiting for- the speech is great, but the debate with the R's is uh, remarkable! 

O'reilly folks LOVE them some obama!

A Daily Kos diarist wonders: how will Bill O'Reilly spin this one? In a "poll" currently posted on O'Reilly's web page, 94% of viewers gave President Obama an "A" for his first year in office. Wonkette, however, notes:

Although, you can tell it’s probably more of an A-, which is essentially just a B+ that wept in the professor’s office after class. Also, it so good the poll is set against the background of outer space, because of the word “scientific."

UPDATED: No federal charges for weissbach

Peter Weissbach, former KVI McTalk-host has dodged a bullet.

KVI sources say that last week, U.S. Prosecutor Don Reno decided against bringing charges against Weissbach and his Bellevue-based janitorial service, Seattle Building Maintenance.

Reno's not happy, we hear, that Weissbach slipped through the legal net.

Much was daylighted in November when The Seattle Times broke a story about how the right-wing talk host was operating his very profitable business on the backs of a workforce half of which or more were legal.

Drudge spin-off and right-wing media heavy-weight, Andrew Breitbart admitted to talk host Hew Hughit Tuesday that alleged wiretapper, James O’Keefe “is paid a fair salary”… by his organization.

HH: Last question, in terms of his relationship with you not connected to this event, are you still, is he in your employ in any way?

AB...What he does for the site exclusively is he tells his life rights, basically. So when he puts a story out there, it's on the Brietbart sites, the Big sites, that he can tell people what transpired. So...
