"Rail as they will about 'discrimination,' women are simply not endowed by nature with the same measures of single-minded ambition and the will to succeed in the fiercely competitive world of Western capitalism."

December 17, 2007 Senator Jeff Sessions of Alabama said in a derogatory tone:
“The civil libertarians among us would rather defend the constitution than protect our nation’s security.”

"The hegemony and dominance of the white male in American society is under attack in the 21st Century. We dont like it." - white American male

Discourse? More like truth. Read some of your fellow Libs posts here b'lam and you will find they embrace those that you speak of. They like that Obama is a Commie. They want Government controlling Health Care. They want Government controlling Banks and Corporations. And they also believe that race should be a qualifying factor when selecting a Justice. Its all right here in the pages of Blatherwatch. You just have to read it.

You notice, this is spewing mostly from the south. What was it they won during the last election?
Posted by: Coiler | July 18, 2009 at 08:58 AM
I guess some people really do believe all this right wing bullshit as Mr. Nevets proves it.
Posted by: Excon | July 18, 2009 at 10:28 AM
The posters on here that love to freely toss around labels like "commie" and "marxism" would miserably fail any middle-school exam on civics or political ideology. It's amusing to observe, until you realize that occasionally someone reads their crap and thinks they know of what they spew.

I gotta tell ya..anyone that would use as a moniker "excon"...(that's proud enough to use it)... it tells a lot about the person that is using it.. and it ain't positive...ha ha..

Speaking of hate, it was forty years ago today that Edward Kennedy, in a drunken stuper, drove off a bridge. As he escaped from the car, he left a young woman to die.
The piece of shit left her under water for hours while he sought legal council to provide cover for his sorry ass. Much better than to seek an emergency response that just may have saved her life.
But, like any other powerful democrat, he still walks the halls of congress.
Everybody please take a moment to think about the young, star struck progressive Mary Jo Kopechne that gave her life to keep him out of the White House.
If there is a Hell, I hope that he is there soon.

I'm pretty sure that "excon" means he's a former conservative, and proud of it (as he should be). After Ronnie Rayguns, we learned that "cons" was a very accurate label for the folks in the republican camp who had to resort to lying, cheating and stealing to stay in the game.
Thank you Karl Rove, Michael Weiner, and Tom Delay, helping put the Democrats in power.
Posted by: Drew | July 18, 2009 at 06:14 PM
How dare we speak of this as anything but hate in this group-think, politically correct dumbed down country. I'll just throw this out that there is a chance that some of this will turn out to be true - if you dare step out of line and question authority.
Commies and Marxism - Ridiculous - It can't happen here ! And if you believe that, i have some swampland in downtown Bellevue up for sale to you.
Posted by: KS | July 18, 2009 at 06:15 PM
They are not sure she drowned..
"There were also doubts about the way Kopechne died. Dr. Donald Mills of Edgartown, wrote on the death certificate: "death by drowning". However, Gene Frieh, the undertaker, told reporters that death "was due to suffocation rather than drowning". John Farrar, the diver who removed Kopechne from the car, claimed she was "too buoyant to be full of water". It is assumed that she died from drowning, although her parents filed a petition preventing an autopsy." Weird huh?
Also, all the doors were locked in the car and all but one window had been broken out. How did he get out but she didn't? Lots of lingering questions.
However, chucks, I know you don't like democrats, but Kennedy has been hardly alone in ugly behavior in personal life. That doesn't excuse it, but I see it from a different perspective, is all.

In Right from the Beginning, Buchanan refers to Spanish dictator Francisco Franco as a
"Catholic savior."
He called Franco, along with Chile's Gen. Pinochet,"soldier-patriots."
(syndicated column 9/17/89) Both men overthrew democracy in their countries.Posted by: In His Own Words | July 18, 2009 at 06:53 PM
Cant handle the truth excon. Read the pages here and you'll find quotes from some of the oldsters like Joanie and Sparky and even the newcomers like Drew embracing what I posted above. Look at Sparkys last post about Ted Kennedy killing Mary Jo Kopechne...
"but I see it from a different perspective"
What kind of crap is that. That is pure party loyalty there. I would bet you Sparky turns her head with disgust when she shes a story of a fellow teacher molesting a student. But when a Lib leaves someone to die while he trys to cover his ass what does she do. She gives it a pass because Mary jo might not have drowned.
So read the pages here Excon and you'll see it. The writing is on the wall. You just have to look for it.

Neverts. Don't make me stop this car and get out the list of cons that embarrass the ever-lovin' shit outta you.
Posted by: Drew | July 18, 2009 at 08:17 PM
Please, do we have to bring up the hypocrisy of your leader “Pills Limbaugh”?
Posted by: bananaman | July 18, 2009 at 08:38 PM
Or how about the toe tapping toilet cowboy?
Posted by: bananaman | July 18, 2009 at 08:39 PM
Steven. I hope you're wearing a helmet when you make those leaps of assumption.
Did I give Kennedy a pass? um..NO.
I said that he, and others, have ugly behavior in the histories. I also pointed out other inconsistencies in his story.
Please don't try to assume you know what I mean. You always mess up.
Posted by: sparky | July 18, 2009 at 08:54 PM
Or that "protector" of male congressional pages?
Posted by: Drew | July 18, 2009 at 08:57 PM
There is no doubt that there are embarassments on both sides. But TK drove his car off a bridge, with a passenger in it, and didn't report it to the police until the next day. WTF? How do you do that and still go on to a 40-year career in the US Congress?
Larry Craig did nothing more than supposedly tap his foot wrong, and for that was hounded out of the Senate.
Oh I know, R's oppose gay marriage, ergo hypocrisy, while D's have never specifically opposed the drowning of young women, ergo Ted's in the clear.
Posted by: woody held | July 18, 2009 at 08:58 PM
Then there's David Vitter, who um, replaced Bob Livingston, er, what were the details of that one again? Hmmmmmmm
Posted by: Drew | July 18, 2009 at 09:03 PM
It says something that rightwingers have to reach back almost a half century to find something to equate their own current moral failings with.
Posted by: Tigsnort | July 18, 2009 at 09:05 PM
By the way, Craig wasn't arrested for not keeping time with the restroom's Muzak system, ya know?
Posted by: Drew | July 18, 2009 at 09:07 PM
Hey, sorry for that Vitter/Livingston one, for which I get a "twofer", hehe. It's important to note there that this is what happens when you replace one con hypocrite, with ANOTHER CON HYPOCRITE.

Republican Homeland Security deputy press secretary Brian J. Doyle , 55, was arrested Tuesday night, April 4, 2006 and charged with trying to "seduce'' a 14-year-old Polk County girl with graphic talk over the Internet. On March 12, Doyle contacted a 14-year-old girl whose profile was posted on an AOL Web site, according to the Sheriff's Office release. Initially, detectives thought Doyle was posing as someone working for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. But they soon learned otherwise when he sent a picture to the girl over the Internet wearing an official ``DHS tag''- from the website, REPUBLICANSEXOFFENDERS.COM

Looks as if the point nevets over looked is hate speech bordering on propaganda in comparison to a possible murder. If nevets is correct then Senator Kennedy may have escaped justice he deserved. But as bad as that is, it is not the same as instilling fear or inciting violence on groups of people.

Remember Neal Horsley, anti-abortion extremist who was posting the names of abortion doctors, and one of them was murdered? Wasn't he an (is there a nice way to say this?), an admitted, self-confessed mule-fucker? Wasn't he the one who had trouble getting dates in rural Georgia, and said that, when you grow up in the country, your first girlfriend is a mule? He's still a regular "Glad to have you back on our show, Neal" contributor to Fox News.

Jimmy Swaggart was a republican in "good standing". He cries like Glennis Beck.
Posted by: Drew | July 18, 2009 at 09:37 PM
Praise Cheeses, the good Reverend Ted Haggart preached against gays and drug use, until it was found he was a frequent visitor to methlabs and had multiple gay partners. Even with all of this, he still had lots of time to travel to D.C.- during the reign of King George the W, Brother Ted was a very frequent visitor of the Bushler, having signed the White House guest book over one hundred times, and the security staff there remembered him well.

Drew, I know Obama doesn’t want to disturb the continuity of government, but these cons have to go. That website is all sorts of ugly. I hope nevets doesn’t view it. He will have a hard time trying to counter it.
Posted by: M.Steele | July 18, 2009 at 09:48 PM
See what you did nevets, you got Drew going. And it is hilarious.
Posted by: M.Steele | July 18, 2009 at 09:51 PM
Good evening Mr. Steele, glad you could join our posse.
The cons sex offender site actually hasn't been updated in quite awhile. I think the last entry is only about a year old, but a lot has happened in ConWorld since then.
I just read that Strom Thurmond, the epitome of racism and outright bigotry in Congress, had sex with a 15 year old black girl, who was one of his family's servants, and he produced a child out of the incident. I say "incident" here, because I am pretty sure that, way back then, statutory rape was still a crime in that state. This woman is now in her late 60's I believe.
Posted by: Drew | July 18, 2009 at 09:59 PM
neverts said that we should look for the writing on the wall. He didn't mean where former republican legislator and ousted Spokane mayor Jim West was leaving his cell phone number on the walls of the men's restrooms, did he?
Posted by: Drew | July 18, 2009 at 10:10 PM
Drew, funny you bring up ol’ Strom. I was just talking to my oldest girl about raciest remarks in high school. Seems a big white fella ask her why he couldn’t say the “N” word during a debate about the topic. She smiled and said ‘there is no reason why you couldn’t’ she said she walked to the window, the girl is a ham like her dad, and pointed out a big black guy participating in gym class outdoors. She then said ‘go over there and tell him he’s the “N” word’. I laughed my ass off.
Posted by: M.Steele | July 18, 2009 at 10:11 PM
Hahahaha!! Wise beyond her years, man!
Posted by: Drew | July 18, 2009 at 10:20 PM
My wife was wondering why I was laughing and is now reading your post’s.
Posted by: M.Steele | July 18, 2009 at 10:22 PM
I have to take a break now. There are sooooooooo many more republicans to list, but I haven't heard from neverts in a while, and I am worried. Likely I have caused him to divert to his neighborhood Stop 'N' Rob for a bag of ice to place over that vein in his forehead that's about to explode. I can't tell you the remorse I feel right now.
Posted by: Drew | July 18, 2009 at 10:24 PM
HEEEEE HAWWWW,
I hope he's ok. he and KS are so much fun.
Talk to you later
Posted by: M.Steele | July 18, 2009 at 10:33 PM
Hey Nancy, heres something to ponder.
"Strom Thurman ran for the Presidency of the United States in 1948 as the segregationist States Rights Democratic Party (Dixiecrat) candidate, receiving 2.4% of the popular vote and 39 electoral votes. Thurmond later represented South Carolina in the United States Senate from 1954 to April 1956 and November 1956 to 2003, at first as a Democrat..."
Did I read that right Nancy that Strom was at first a racist Lib. Does it say Democratic party there or am I seeing things.
Now if thats not making you pull out your hair, check this quote from Thurmond when he was a Lib in 1948
"I wanna tell you, ladies and gentlemen, that there's not enough troops in the army to force the Southern people to break down segregation and admit the nigra race into our theaters, into our swimming pools, into our homes, and into our churches."
And if that doesn't do it. That child you talk about in your post above. She was born back in 1925. Lets see, 1925 is before 1948 so, gosh he must have been a Lib when that happened.
So Nancy, sorry about your hair. It will grow back just give it time. In the mean time this wig
might just do the trick for the time being.
Posted by: nevets | July 19, 2009 at 12:17 AM
Sorry tater, he’s your racist hypocrite.
Posted by: bananaman | July 19, 2009 at 12:23 AM
Who is Nancy?
Posted by: Drew | July 19, 2009 at 12:43 AM
neverts, are you talking to yourself? BTW, Thurmond was gladly accepted and well received into YOUR party, the party of No, the Gross Old Predators Party, the republican'ts. Clearly they like his kind over there. Ya see, I grew up in the South, and I understand it's history better than you. To compare the democrats of 70 years ago that operated below the Mason-Dixon Line to the Democrats of today is laughable (Bull Conners was also a democrat. Today he'd most definitely be a republican, because his ideology fits so well with those of Pat Buchanan, and Tom Tancredo two more racist throwbacks of a failed conservative party.
Sucks to call yourself a republican today.
Posted by: Drew | July 19, 2009 at 12:49 AM
Strom Thurmond was very close friends with the likes of Bill Frist, Tom DeLay, and Trent Lott. Now those are three die-hard cons like yourself who don't break bread alongside anyone but other die-hard republicans, but they all claimed Thurmond to be a close friend and supporter.
It's your party, and you can cry if you want to...
Posted by: Drew | July 19, 2009 at 12:56 AM
Oh, and neverts...just to continue your sorely needed education in U.S. politcal history, Thurmond had to switch to the States Rights Democratic Party (which had little in common philosophically with the Democratic Party), in the hopes that the po' folks from his region might not know that the SRDP was running on a pro-segregation platform, and that also, at THAT time the republicans would have nothing to do with him. In short order, the SRDP became a non-entity because of the racist views of people like your hero, Strom Thurmond.

Mr nevets is a she she. He won’t talk to you. he’s scared.

Jeez Mr. Chucks, why the loathing of Ted Kennedy and bring up Chappaquiddick? Yeah he and his family are rich but being in that status is what Republicans stood for correct? Becoming wealthy and keep everything you earn is their vision of the American Dream. I guess if he was a rich Republican that is OK but to be a rich liberal Democrat makes him evil.
