right-wing blogs we like
The Reagan Wing Hearin lies the real heart of Washington State Republicans. Doug Parris runs this red-meat social conservative group site which bars no holds when it comes to saying who they are and who they're not; what they believe and what they don't; who their friends are and where the rest of the Republicans can go. Well-written, and flaming.
Orbusmax inexhaustible Drudgery of NW conservative news
The Radio Equalizer prolific former Seattle KVI, KIRO talk host speaks authoritatively about radio.
LA talker and former Seattleite Bryan Suits (KFI m-f, 7-10p) says he agrees with one of our commenters, who wrote that he is a bit of an ass.
"I am
a bit of an ass and in fact purchased a Nautilus machine to enhance
that part. I lack empathy, and I'm cold-blooded but I'm here to tell
you I treat people the way they should be treated."
He says a conversation reported by BlatherWatch "never happened, never would have happened."
Glennn Beck, who has a double chin on the back of his head, has rattled the tea cups the last few days by blatantly appealing
to racist elements of the cable/radio consuming public by claiming that
President Obama has a "... deep-seated hatred for white people,
[and] white culture."
So what else is new, you ask? Watch the video, this was different, and worse than usual. Fox News
actually issued a statement distancing the network from Beck's remarks.
How often does that happen?
Wanna look cool, and know that somebody gives a shit what media you watch or listen to?
You missed your chance, although you really never had one.
A few hours ago, before Arbitron had them yanked down from eBay, you could bid for not only 3 Portable Personal Meters, but also an PPM encoder. The seller claimed they'd all "fallen off the truck" (a shopping opportunity also known as a "NY White Sale").
"It gets sticky some afternoons " says someone who knows.

Dori Monson (KIROFM m-f, 12-3p) who once crowed daily about the King of Seattle Talk Radio is having a problem he hasn't had for years- getting callers to call his show.
We've had requests to have some totally open threads (as if our commenters give a damn about what the topic the is before they comment!). We've decided to indulge them... have at it!
It's oft joked in commercial talk radio, that 34% of topics are stolen from NPR.
Local news outlets- KIROFM famously- rely heavily on public radio news for ideas and stories.
("let them hear cake." photo: thanks KUOW).
NPR is making that even easier. They announced today a revamping of their web site and digital news delivery that will make their news product not only easier to access in all platforms, but will have more emphasis on text, supplying almost instant transcripts of broadcast pieces.
Known as "Crazy Eileen," she's a well-known Delaware dittohead, who's been 86ed from at least one station.
(photo: "goof to power")
Conservatives have been wondering: who's the new "lady in red," telling truth to power by standing up in a senior center on June 30 and yelling at U.S. Rep. Mike Castle about President Barack Obama's birth certificate.
The right is dragging out the "scary black man" canard again after President Obama led with his heart by calling Cambridge police "stupid," after the Professor Gate dust-up last week.
It was the kind of foot-in-mouth the President rarely gets himself into, and he's walking it back, needful as he is to get health care back in the center of the conversation.
KIROFM 97.3 Multi-format: news and nearly all local talk. This is where classic KIRO AM news talk radio went... hopefully, not to die. The home of Dave Ross & Luke Burbank, Dori Monson, Ron & Don, Frank Shiers, Bill Radke, Linda Thomas, Tony Miner and George Noory.
KUOW FM 94.9 Seattle's foremost public radio news and talk.
KVI am 570 KHz Visit the burnt-out husk of one of the seminal right-wing talkers in all the land. Here's where once trilled the reactionary tones of Rush Limbaugh, John Carlson, Kirby Wilbur, Mike Siegel, Peter Weissbach, Floyd Brown, Dinky Donkey, and Bryan Suits.
Now it's Top 40 hits from the '60's & '70's aimed at that diminishing crowd who still remembers them and can still hear.
