The Minnesota Supreme Court has ruled Al Franken
the winner of the 2008 Senate race.

In a unanimous 5-0 decision, the court upheld a three-judge panel’s April 14 ruling that Franken defeated Republican Norm Coleman in the race by 312 votes out of 2.9 million cast.
When Franken is seated, the Democrats will have a dominant 60-40 supermajority in the Senate.
Will incumbent Republican senator Norm Coleman petition the U.S. Supreme Court to review the case and will Republican Gov. Tim Pawlenty sign an election certificate in the interim? These moves would prolong a final decision and the people of Minnesota 50% of their representation in the US Senate.
If Coleman takes this through the federal courts, as he's threatened, Franken might not be seated for another year.
While Franken is scrambling to raise the money for his legal efforts, the Republican Party have pumped millions into the case which effectively stalls Democratic Senate legislation.
How much longer can Republicans continue to pour that cash into this rat-hole, and how much farther does the party, and Pawlenty want to alienate the people of Minnesota?
Mr. Coleman?
Pawlenty could end all this. He needs to spend more time fixing failing bridges in his state, ya know?

Mr Coleman, do the honorable thing: give it up and go to Argentina.

Might see a fillibuster over seating Al Franken, who if he got seated, could potentially break the fillibuster. What a paradox.
Joanie, good one on Coleman, though.

Pawlenty said yesterday he would not hold up signing anything if the Supremes of Minnesota ruled in favor of Al. They ruled unanimously for him!
Over at Freeperville (freerepublic.com) their heads are exploding.
HAW HAW HAW.. Now I'm off to see what Brian Maloney has to say.
