Bad grammar aside, I get the sense that she does not see all the contradictions in what she thinks is important compared to what McCain says he will support. I have no doubt that her family has struggled financially at some point in their lives, but McCain is on record for not supporting programs that would help families. I dont know of anyone who thinks she should have aborted her son..the criticism I have heard is that he is 5 mos old and is going to need an extra amount of attention and care and that it will be very hard for her to do that if she is a full time Vice President. If her husband is worried now about the separations during a campaign, he has no idea what it would be like if she held the office. She will not be able to call this in like she does being governor.

joanie

Well, there you have it. Sputsie, duff, steven - all "Joe-sixpack Americans." Yep, couldn't agree more.

You know, Sparky, I never try to second-guess the choices a woman (or a man) makes for themselves. I take them at face value and trust that they know what's best for themselves and those they love.

Sarah's a big girl. I know that what I see and what I hear is what I get. And I respect her right to choose for herself just as I respect the right of our three "Joe Sixpacks" to choose Palin-McCain as their leaders.

Fortunately, many Joe Sixpacks are changing their minds...

Duffman

I think you may be a couple of bottles short of a 'six-pack' yourself. Obviously you've not read my previous posts...but what's new...you will spew what you will spew, no matter what.

Brian

Wow, Palin sounds pretty well grounded to me.

So what was Obama's explanation for voting against the live birth abortion bill anyway? Has he come out with a reason, didn't he vote against it more than once? Or should I guess we don't get to hear his real views on issues "above his paygrade"

Personally, I like to consider myself Average Joe Twelvepack.

sparky

12 packs come in stubbies, dont they?

Great Letter to the Editor today in the PI:

LTE from the Seattle P-I today:

Bill Maher insults fans of 'Hazzard'

I am so incensed by Bill Maher's recent incendiary comments about Sarah Palin that I can barely hold my hands steady enough to type this letter.
To say that the only type of people dumb enough to vote for Palin are
the people who would wait in line to watch a "Dukes of Hazzard" movie
is totally offensive and untrue.
You are free to call me a dumb hillbilly who was weaned on the hilarious adventures of those good old Hazzard boys -- just don't insinuate that someone like me is dumb enough to vote for Sarah Palin.

If I were a conservative I would LOVE Palin, because intelegence itself is the enemy of conservative economic theory and conservative religious values. If you want someone who will plug their ears to rational thought and outlaw abortion and inject religion into everything then she's your politician.

Brian

Yeah it's too bad we have to choose between someone who would outlaw abortion completely and someone who thinks it's okay to stab babies in the brain after being born alive.

Unfortunately there don't seem to be any rational/normal humans running for office these days.

joanie

Yup, Brian, you don't have to tell us your fondness for Joe Sixpack. It is written all over your ignorant posts.

When you are informed about live-birth abortions, we can talk. Until then, enjoy sharing a beer with your choice for VP.

Parroter Duff, you're right for once. I don't read many of your posts. It's true. You can tell. You and sputsie are incredibly dull. What am I missing?
