Since we have been assured that Palin is ready to take over for McSame in a HEARTBEAT, I think it would be a good idea if they postpone the Presidential debates, and have Palin and Biden have their debate on Friday. I think it is time the McSame campaign quit being so sexist and let Palin speak to the country and stop trying to protect her like she was a hothouse orchid. This is a woman from ALASKA and she is tough. Im sure women will agree with me that its high time to let her speak, and now Friday gives her that opportunity.

That was exactly what McCain wanted in 2005 but was thwarted by Dems like Barney Frank. He called for a strong regulator structure for OHEA and the GSEs.

i can make that promise but why won't you hold yourself to the same standards? hmmm. curious.
and by the way, when you gonna fess up about gregoire and her budgets that underfunded schools such as federal way to the point that they had to sue and win. yet she still refused to concede and continues to underfund.
you had no problem blaming rossi for something 4 years ago and yet your candidate's been doing it for the last 4 years aided by a dem legislature.
"That was exactly what McCain wanted in 2005 but was thwarted by Dems like Barney Frank. He called for a strong regulator structure for OHEA and the GSEs."
Yes, but do you think we will ever read about this from the mainstream media outlets ? Nope, they are too busy ballyhooing Obama, the agitator - their Manchurian Candidate. The intellectual dishonesty displayed, coupled with all of the financial chaos is pissing off many people. Not sure how the wrath will come back - but I can only hope that the media gets the brunt of it - what they deserve.
"How about you just promise if Rossi or McCain loses you won't take the sore loser route and cry about 'the machines' or ACORN some such crap."
Yeah, right- but I know that you and your ilk will cry about the same type of thing if Gregoire and Obama, the Manchurian candidate lose and you'll figure out a way to blame it on GW Bush if all else fails, bring in 10,000 shark infested lawyers. Just like what the pueling Demagogue Party is doing in this state - trying to sue the Rossi campaign because they go by GOP instead of Republican. ACORN a-holes are already being prosecuted for their voter fraud attempts, funded by the Manchurian Candidate.
Hey, if the other side wins, you will eventually be part of the same sinking ship and stinking wrapped fish that this country will become if you will, because you voted for apathy and party over country. Thpft !
I didnt want this fucking job anyway, it was a grudge match from 2000 when that shit cheney cooked up a scheme to blame my black boy as illegitimate. i'm going to go home now and lie down, my numbers are in the tank and maybe sarah will let me look at her tits.
Palin's inexperiance is really coming back to bite McCain, and I think his campaign's reluctance to let her talk to people and say things is evidence that they feel what those of us felt when our jaws dropped as Palin had NO CLUE not neccessarily what it the Bush Doctrine is, but what it might be, and how she looked kind of dumfounded and at a loss. It took her a minute before she began rambling off BS.
I think Letterman had a good point: why doesn't Palin take over the campaign while McCain is away if she's qualified to be president should something happen to him?
Which Bush Doctrine. He has had four of 'em to date. And Charlie Gibson got it wrong himself.
It was a poorly worded question that needed some context to get correct. But if you want to make a big deal -kind of Like Obama stating we have 57 States or Biden...well, just being Biden...then go ahead.
She should have been familiar with atleast one interpretation of the term, she clearly didn't know of any context in which it had ever been used. If she was a really sharp cookie she would have asked which interpretation he was referring to, not squirm as she clearly did. Her best guess was "his world view"

The Bush Doctrine might be a lot of things, but it's never been used to mean broadly Bush's "world view", it's always been used to specificly refer to aspects of Bush' foreign policy that was a radical deviation from previous administrations.
I'm not trying to mae Palin look worse than she really is, I'm a dissinterested party. This is how average people perceived it, and this is why the campaign is hiding her. They couldn't have seen this coming, she's never been involved in politics beyond Alaska. It's probably best that it stay that way. She's simply not interested in national politics. She's bad for America.
Jon Elliot said that in most of the swing states, Obama is leading in the polls.
I heard an interesting caller on Malloy tonight. He made it clear he wasn't an economist but said he'd had many classes at the 400 level in economics. An interest of his.
He talked about the jumpstart FDR gave our economy by reopening closed warehouses and businesses and putting people back to work. He reiterated that the warehouses and companies were still there.
Now, according to him, other than agriculture and some service industries, everything else has been shipped overseas. We don't have the warehouses and manufacturing plants to reopen.
When Mike asked him what he saw ahead, he said a few fixes but in the end, chaos and the consequence that we'll be a second-rate economy in the world. He compared us to Argentina. He said we wouldn't be a third-rate economy but second-rate.
I have a friend who got out of stocks a couple of years ago and put it into gold. Not gold stocks but gold. He was smart.
But, he had the time (being somewhat well-to-do to begin with) to study and listen and make decisions.
Most of us work too hard to know and keep up. We rely on the "smart" guys who are paid to make decisions with our money. And there are those who throw the dice and win. Like chucks. Who now rides off into the sunset on his Rolls thinking he "earned" it.
What a divine comedy it all really is.
BTW, an emailer on Malloy's show referred to the rich as "protein" for the rest of us. I had to laugh at that one.

Do you leftists even care how the bail out gets resolved ? No, you are more interested if your side scores the most political points - that's how you operate.
That is a complex issue and don't have much faith in a Democrat-controlled Congress with a 20% approval rating. It is very conceivable that the bill they sign will be a form of financial socialism and screw the taxpayers, especially if its a quick decision. Bush is leading the panic (A Republican who sounded like a leftist).
The best thing they can do is not to panic or rush to judgment as they seem to be doing now, but carefully weigh all the options. Do not give Wall Street a no-interest loan - ask for a down payment of say 1-2% , which is $10 million. Reimbursement by them at least in part needs to be a condition. Make sure those affected homeowners get some relief. The hedge funds also must get reined in as part of the package. Congress needs to be able to compromise and stay above politics - which is virtually impossible. John McCain is working with the House Republicans, who I have as much confidence in as anyone else because they want accountability. While the Manchurian candidate is faking it like he is presidential with his typical empty rhetoric and trying like hell to steer clear of accountability.
