Cool...mcjoan is an amazing woman. She used to be a staffer for an Oregon Congressman and she travels the West extensively, covering races in Oregon, Washington, Idaho and Montana. She is also a great writer.

Cenk Ugyer....hmm. Not as thrilled about that.

Duffman

OMG sparky, sometimes you are so silly...just full of trivia. What w/we ever do w/out you.
Any bets on whether JE speaks at the convention?...so exactly what was it that attracted you...'bout him?

Brian

Wow, let's focus our energy on ending a war that is virtually over. The Mahdi Army is laying down their arms and becoming a social group, the US is agreeing to a withdrawal timetable with the Iraqi government, troop deployments are being shortened and I sure forces will be re-deployed to Afghanistan where they are needed.
I think Darcy needs to innovate herself into a cause that will make a difference or she won't stand a chance come November.

chuck

Most of the librals arround here do not have a clue as to what is going on in Iraq Brian. Many of them still believe that the US Military is getting beat on all fronts.
Darcy is right to go after the lowest common denominator in appealing to the Dimocrat base. She understands that she does not have to deal with facts to win the loyal libral left. Where she does not get it is with the independant thinkers. The key being thinkers. They know that the truth is elsewhere.

Fremont

"a war that is virtually over. ??? My, oh my, Brain, is God speaking to you? Darcy's cause will not be history by November, according to my sources,,,

Duh-f, surely Sparks was overwhelmed by the cut of JE's hair.

Meet the Bloggers is a very cool site...thanks,, Bla'M!

Mungo

War virtually over? Insurgency in their last throes? Is that you Dick?

Mango

Darcy needs Responsible Plan for the economy. Whether the war is over or not, the voters have deprioritized it as an issue in this election.

Duffman

Agree w/Mango on this.

FREmont

Oh, no....how could John Edwards have had an affair while CAMPAIGNING FOR PRESIDENT? Oh, no-o-o-o!

Fremontt

HERE'S THE SAD, SAD STORY...

HERE'S THE SAD, SAD STORY...

Gay Gary

How long will it take for them to wheel Elizabeth Edwards out of the hospital so she can say she's disappointed but is supporting John and their family needs privacy as they "work through this"?

Incredible - not only an affair while his wife is on her death bed but also siphoning campaign funds to his mistress and now he may also be her baby's daddy! ACK! (What are the chances he had a menage a trois with Obama?)

What a news day: Edwards is his girlfriend's baby's daddy, Russia invades Georgia and the Olympics open!

chuck

Yes, it is true. John Edwards is a slut. Whoring arround while the wife is battling cancer. Class act. Looks like he has himself a new bastard child at the same time. We will see.
Well, I suppose this makes him more qualified than ever as Obambam's running mate.
Oh well, at least his feet were not doing a happy dance in the mens room at the airport. The party would crucify him.

Duffman

Bingo! Feel sorry for his wife and all who were sucked in by this sleaze-bag.

chuck

Second story on this blog site today that proves Shakespeare's wisdom was correct.

Duffman

chuck: what'da ya think - will he have to give the Father-Of-The-Year Award back??
Just goes to show, doesn't it that being articulate, good-looking, and popular doesn't necessarily portend what's 'in the book' eh. Hmmmmm could we apply that to any one else???
Hillary.....we NEED you!

chuck

On the other hand, it is good to find a Democrat that is OK with drilling.

chuck

Additionally, this may at least reduce the possibility that this ambulance chasing socialist will be able to screw us.

Duffman

..notice how loud the silence is from the 'regulars' who happened to support him...

chuck

Well, who the hell knows how this may turn out. This sleazy affair may just be what Edwards needed to give himself "street cred" with the left. He may just have set himself up for a cabinette post (AG) or a federal judgeship. Maybe even become a Supreme.

Duffman

..unless, when he locked himself in the bathroom hiding from NE...he used the wide stance

Fremont

Not a "loud silence", Duh-f...some of us have lives to live outside our computer screens. Don't ever think that a delay in comment means a deficit of comment. Stay tuned...

(Gotta give you points for the drilling pun, Chux!)

sparky

Before you all ejaculate all over this blog, I will share what Elizabeth Edwards has to say. And that will be my last comment about this.

Our family has been through a lot. Some caused by nature, some caused by human weakness, and some – most recently – caused by the desire for sensationalism and profit without any regard for the human consequences. None of these has been easy. But we have stood with one another through them all. Although John believes he should stand alone and take the consequences of his action now, when the door closes behind him, he has his family waiting for him.

John made a terrible mistake in 2006. The fact that it is a mistake that many others have made before him did not make it any easier for me to hear when he told me what he had done. But he did tell me. And we began a long and painful process in 2006, a process oddly made somewhat easier with my diagnosis in March of 2007. This was our private matter, and I frankly wanted it to be private because as painful as it was I did not want to have to play it out on a public stage as well. Because of a recent string of hurtful and absurd lies in a tabloid publication, because of a picture falsely suggesting that John was spending time with a child it wrongly alleged he had fathered outside our marriage, our private matter could no longer be wholly private.

The pain of the long journey since 2006 was about to be renewed.

John has spoken in a long on-camera interview I hope you watch. Admitting one’s mistakes is a hard thing for anyone to do, and I am proud of the courage John showed by his honesty in the face of shame. The toll on our family of news helicopters over our house and reporters in our driveway is yet unknown. But now the truth is out, and the repair work that began in 2006 will continue. I ask that the public, who expressed concern about the harm John’s conduct has done to us, think also about the real harm that the present voyeurism does and give me and my family the privacy we need at this time.

chuck

OK Sparky
Is he still speaking lies to his wife? What was he doing at that hotel?
My heart bleeds for the pained family. That is a hurt that goes to the very soul of a family.
But again, what the heck was he doing the night that sleasy little magazine reporter caught/found him in her room?
His slinking arround while he was running for POTUS shows a lack of common sense. Everybody was watching.

Gay Gary

Wow, when I said this ...

How long will it take for them to wheel Elizabeth Edwards out of the hospital so she can say she's disappointed but is supporting John and their family needs privacy as they "work through this"?

... I didn't think it would only take 2 hours! LMAO!

Either I don't understand straight people or I don't understand political spouses! (Maybe a bit of both!)

nevets

Ok, Edwards won the Father of the Year in 2007. He told his wife of the affair in 2006. How did both of them stand up there and accept the award in good faith? Are these the convictions that he stated both Hillary and Hussein shared with him when he dropped out of the race. Maybe his cause to end poverty was just a way to meet women.

Fremont

Thank you, Sparkly. Amen.

Fremont

Hey Joans, Sparks, Bla'M, mac users...can you download MTB? What software/program are you using?

artie fufkin

nevets is still here, obviously he isn't meeting any women.
