I bet they have reservations over how narrow her appeal might be.

Is Rachel invited for oatmeal pie when she comes to Seattle, Bla'M?

I hope she gets her show, but I hope it is after 4pm PDT! It will be bad enough not to have her show on the radio on my drive home, but if I have to miss the tv show too? not good!

 Nigel Tufnel - Lead Guitar

they wouldn't have her at the top of their list if they had reservations about her narrow appeal, andrew. Maybe you should have reservations about your narrow mind.

Darryl just called Mike Malloy. lololol
Mike humored him for about 3 mintues and then hung up.
I may have to send Mike Malloy an email and explain to him who Darryl is.

Maddow is very bright. I just dont know how a butch-looking lesbian is gonna attract big ratings as host of a TV news-talk program. Maybe should hire Ellen Degeneres as an image consultant.

Maybe because the rest of us aren't as shallow?

Wild Bill

"Did we mention she's not pissed off?"

But, Sir, pissed off is the new Zeitgeist, with madness and blood just below the skin, scratch where you itch; it's something about being in War these last years.

I was blind but now I see,,,

FRIDAY SCHEDULE: Mayor McCheese has a Joint City Cultural Exchange Impact Counci, (JCCEIC) with Shoerline. The main Power Point is entitled, Plastic Grocery Bags and Environmental Impact Fees: how to pull a new tax out of our butts and punch the citizen in the gut.

FRIDAY'S SCHEDULE: Councilman Licata, wear a crimson beret to match the wool ribbons worn today by the Queen Anne Upper Free Tibet Community Counicl.
3:00 declare The Seahawks as culturally significant.

Licata wants to take the Seahawks away,,,,spread the goo, whisper it to a friend

Carry On

Carry On.

What is wrong with getting rid of plastic bags and styrofoam containers? I dont live near Seattle, so I dont know about any fees, but why not just get rid of the plastic crap? Get 3 or 4 canvas bags at the store and reuse them. Since I have done that I dont have a gajillion plastic sacks all over the place!

Dr Maddow will be just fine and earns and deserves everything she gets.

Puget Sound

Rachel can do well on TV. She is smart and funny when she wants to go that route.

If we could kick off Mika B. and replace her with Rachel as a counterpoint to Joe Scarborough that would be great.
This isn't a shot at either Rachel or Joe but they always look like a brother sister act. Put em on the show as co-anchors and it would be interesting.

It'll never happen, Puts. Joe hates Rachel with a white hot heat. Witness the time that he had a snit on the air during Race To The White House on MSNBC because she told him to just answer her question. He took off his mic and walked off the set. During another episode of the same show he mocked her laugh and then, since he was host, cut off her comment and went to someone else. Oil and water.

Puget Sound

Oil and Water -when based on mutual respect- can be a great combo. Of course, mutual respect is key.

Too bad, it would make for a good show. Poor Mika is better suited to doing weather and traffic.

I do recall the clips you mention.

But those two paired with a good Producer...
anything to get away from Matthews, Abrahms, or Olby.

I can only speak for myself, but would never watch it. I dont care for Joe.

I wont do it Sparky.
