  • The Reagan Wing

Well-written, and flaming.

1st...The best thing that could happen to the Marineers right now might involve an airplane crash.

2nd...If KIRO did get the Mariners back I am sure they would give us the game score now and then.

3rd...KIRO getting the Mariners back would mean more commercials to pay the costs. Remember when baseball announcers used to tell stories during the game. No time for that now. Too many commercials to read.

4th...Liberal talk radio might work here in Seattle except for one thing......No one is ever leftist enough for most Liberals so they tune out.

5th...Plus Liberal hosts don't know how to entertain. At least most of them don't.

Gay Gary

The real question is: how can we interject Barrack Obama, John McCain, the Palestinian question and slave reparations into this discussion about the Mariners broadcast rights?

(Nevermind, I'm sure we'll find a way.)

chucks

I just want the Mariners to be on a station that has the just to be received in Pierce County without static. The breaking up on 512 gets old.

chucks

That was meant to be "juice". It's Gary's fault, he intimidated me.

joanie hussein

airplane crash not funny.

There's too many commercials in all of radio. That's what's doing radio in.

The Mariners need to start winning. What's that going to take?

formerfisheremployee

I saw the writing on the wall the day Fisher bought the Mariners. They threw all their money into something they thought they could get with (much like throwing $20's at a stripper hoping she will come home with you). Fisher had no money to pay their loyal employees. We had to wait many, many, many years for a raise. Where was the money?? Thats right, given to a team who cant spell w-i-n

carleen

First a high-tech white elephant broadcast palace nobody can afford, then $10 million for a loser baseball team. Maybe they deserve what they get.

DT

This is sports news, not talk radio news. Fuck this blog.

Burl

I hope KIRO gets the Mariners. Then we will get to hear more Dori. I miss the sound of his voice when baseball is on.

joanie hussein

Fuck this blog.

You that hard up, DT?

Funny, Burl.

GG..I spent half the day riding Amtrak south..fabulous trip as always. I listened to sports news about the Mariners on my Mp3/Fm tuner while I walked to the club car to get a cup of yummy coffee and a bagel. Too bad John McCain hates Amtrak and wants to cut funding. When we pulled into Vancouver, a Palestinian's Question was "How much longer before we get to Eugene?" The conductor, who was wearing an Obama 2008 pin, right above his "It's Grand Salami Time at Safeco" pin, told him that he would have to transfer to a Thruway's bus that would take him to Eugene.
I think it would be silly to talk about slave reparations on a thread about the Mariners.

Oh, and Steven, sorry I cant scan my Amtrak ticket to PROVE I actually was on the train this morning..I got off in Portland, hopped the bus to go south a bit, was met by my mom and I drove her car back to my house, as she will spend the summer with me, and she needed her car.

Glad you made it home safely Sparky. The roads must have been a mess with all the Global Warming Rain coming down. You know, I was thinking of going down to N.M. to vist my mom this summer but, a change of plans will put that trip on hold. (See, i'm not afraid of change)

nevets

Oh, and don't think I didn't notice. The pieces of the puzzle just keep coming. The last one shed some light on some of your use of words.

Still playing Battleship?

ABM1964

Sports on a Sportsradio station! That's a crazy idea that'll never work. Besides Clearchannel is losing money enough money already. Maybe Entercom can by 'em but on 770 so nobody can here'em.

Mike Barer

KVI was the original Mariner station. They carried the Seattle Pilots also.
