I have a feeling this is going to become more frequent as he gets up in the years and he slips further away from reality.

Same goes for Keith Olbermann, maybe moreso. He's getting unhinging. He thinks he's a legendary journalist one minute, he's picking Rupert Murdoch to be the Worst Person in the World the next in retaliation for some unkind words from one of the most succesful men in media - which it turns out weren't far from truth.

Olbermann was fired once before from MSNBC, you have to wonder if they didn't use their better judgement the first time.

DT

More Bill O'Reilly-bashing from Blatherwatch. Yawn.

J.Hova

Only crazy people would continue to see Bill O as the victim--the only thing to hope for is for him to finally lose it to the point of having to be hauled off to the psych ward at Bellevue.

Upton

Unfortunately you have many of the uneducated relying on, and actually believing in, what O'Reilly has to say.

The difference between Olbermann and O'Reilly can be spelled out rather simply:

Olbermann=high brow

O'Reilly=low brow

joanie hussein

I usually turn off Olberman.

I never turn on O'Reilly.

For real politial journalism, try Bill Moyers on PBS.

And, as usual on the right, it's a case of attacking the messenger when you don't like the message.

Okay, then just listen to Moyer's own words about a minute into this 4 minute clip. We'll see how you get out of this one unless of course you are going to 'attack the messenger when you don't like the message.' Even O'Reilly can make Moyers silly.

Here you go, Skeddadler

Of course, Joanie won't be able to respond. Once again proven to be a liar...

joanie hussein

Just listened again.

Scott handled himself well. He made his points very well. Nobody believes Ari Fleischer. He's the hack.

"I'm a centrist" and before that "a young idealist..."

Scott knew what was going to happen and he was ready. He kept on talking and made his points.

"People try to turn this into gotcha points and we have to focus on the bigger picture...separate personal affection from deeds and actions...focusing on what my book actually says."

Scott McClelland wasn't The Decider. That was George Bush.

Good job, Scott.

Edmunds Dan

Looks like Joanie is up (or down) to her old tricks. You like Moyers so much. How come you won't answer the Bill Moyers questions. O'Reilly uses Moyers own words to show his hypocracy. Looks like Putz is using that and your own words to show you up.

Have you adopted the tactics you deplore.
As you say in your words:

"And, as usual on the right, it's a case of attacking the messenger when you don't like the message.

berkeley baby

Yeah, Dan, but you can't even spell "Edmonds."

Freakin'

Bill O'Reilly is a flamethrower for money. People watch him to see what he will blow up next. Some of us hope it will be him. Still, I can't stop watching.

joanie hussein

E'dan, you have this obsession with putsie. Too bad you don't choose your posters better. I rarely read his posts or his links. It is a waste of time.

Perhaps you need a remedial lesson: we liberals are not sheep. We don't follow any one person or meme. If you choose to think we do and parse every word, that is your choice.

Such parsing reflects neither a high IQ nor great intellect.

I have an empty seat in my first-grade classroom next September. You are welcome to fill it.

PugetSound

Joanie
Once again a clear case of DWI.

Drunk While Interneting.

You can't refute that Moyers is lying so you revert to plan B: skedaddling.

Poor thing. You should be careful or you may find yourself in that first grade seat come next year.

And 'Edmunds Dan.' I appreciate the sentiments but that is a damn unique way of spelling Edmonds.

KS

Joanie is unbelivably full of herself, of course we are not sure that she is really doing the talking or if its the drugs.

With all due respect, I would advise my friends against having their first grader in your class given her behavior on this blog.

KS

That should read:
I would advise my friends against having their first grader in her class given her behavior on this blog.

Oh, you poor rightwingers. Can't take it? You can dish it out but can't take it? Every other word with you guys is a slander against everybody on the left including Sparky and me. But you can't take it?

Laura Flanders had a guest, Cory Robbins, who has written an article in the June 23 edition of The Nation Magazine describing the conservative right as victims. He believes Republicans are comfortable in the victim role.

Since you've been on top, you are falling apart. You've succeeded in your mission of rolling back the welfare state and now you're in remission.

The victim role unites you and makes you stronger.

Sure fits you guys, doesn't it?

Also interesting discussion of coal, nuclear and Wall Street reactions to the energy crisis.

Now quit pouting.

smart people can listen here-second interview about a third of the way

KS

Joanie emotes:
"Oh, you poor rightwingers. Can't take it? You can dish it out but can't take it? Every other word with you guys is a slander against everybody on the left including Sparky and me. But you can't take it?"

In your case: "You pissed off progressive left winger - Every other word with you is a slander against everybody on the right and in the center. We just try and point out the truth that you ignore when it doesn't fit your agenda and slander the messenger. Unbecoming conduct for a public educator, IMHO. "

kS

I caught it...
We just try and point out the truth that you ignore when it doesn't fit your agenda and then you slander the messenger. Unbecoming conduct for a public educator, IMHO. "

joanie hussein

How did you get so smart, KS?
